Leland KembleandGitHub 4e1c2d5154 Fixes runtime when creating a stack out of a stack with full hands with a stack below you (#96582)
## About The Pull Request

Stack's made, eaten by other stack the second it's created, tries to
initialize materials with an amount of 0, predictably runtimes. Don't
bother with materials if the stack's already eaten.

## Why It's Good For The Game

## About The Pull Request

Fixes https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/issues/95962. Applies a
scaling to the resulting items mats_per_unit of a stack so, each item in
the stack has the correct material value.

Tested locally, now each material floor tile only gives 1/4 of a sheet

038707f0b1 Adds a Memory button to the UI & other HUD Changes (#95303)
## About The Pull Request

Revival of https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/91378 for renewed
effort of ruining the stat panel for everyone.

This PR does a few things to address issues I've had with the HUD in
hopes to bring reliance less upon the stat panel.

1. Adds a Memory button

<img width="133" height="169" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/7f643882-5666-4099-9c68-5d6092a6d82c"
/>
<img width="134" height="169" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e7592ec3-ec3e-4afe-baa3-6d0e6d5d22c8"
/>

Potential alt icon, but I don't know if it's better
<img width="1322" height="115" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/82cc6ad9-becd-4502-8b83-276b0ef6ed0d"
/>

2. Makes Alien, Animal & Borg HUDs more compact (This is uploaded before
Borg HUD icons were made)

Borg - Removed 'Store' button, now you left click your model to store it
(RMB to open/close), think of it more like a bag now.
<img width="1054" height="324" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5352a350-8f3e-4b3a-8634-929e2c9aa2f4"
/>

Alien
<img width="305" height="189" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c0f0b9f0-941a-405e-bdfd-4b5b46690fb6"
/>

Animals - Their HUDs now appear in the corner of the screen rather than
having the strange offset
<img width="202" height="168" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/ddf26108-d930-4744-8ef5-17f981a3384b"
/>

I didn't touch gorilla, they still look weird.
<img width="732" height="181" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5c1534c3-7190-491d-8a1f-6fe51eebd9a2"
/>

2. Fixes borg numbers not showing up at the request of a user
<img width="701" height="312" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/65464e15-8e31-41f8-b506-050fa27cebde"
/>

Closes https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/issues/95163

I also added a rustle sound when you drop something as a borg so you
have an audio cue that you dropped something, sometimes as a borg I'll
drop something and think it disappeared, cause I didn't realize I
accidentally hit drop. This is a local sound, so it doesn't play to
anyone near you. Purely for feedback.

3. If you didn't notice, this de-hardcodes the UI for non-humans

UIs now respect your prefs for many more mobs now, pretty much only the
ones with unique special UIs (Alien, pAI, AI, Borg) will now respect
your prefs.

## Why It's Good For The Game

UIs make a bit more sense, takes Memories out of being only accessible
through the stat panel, allows your prefs to be respected more and makes
inventories a little more consistent through mob types.

If the stat panel is to be removed or made optional, we can't afford to
hide Memories through it because certain antagonists (see: nukies)
absolutely rely on it.

## Changelog

🆑 ttt, JohnFulpWillard
add: Added a Memory HUD to your UI. In case you didn't know, you get
memories of things happening around the station, or important antagonist
info such as the nuclear codes.
del: Removed Borg's "store" button, now the cyborg module will behave
more similar to a backpack (LMB to store, RMB to open/close)
fix: Borg material now properly displays how much materials they can
afford with their cell's charge.
qol: Your HUD prefs are respected on more mobs now.
qol: Improved the HUD of simple/basic animals, as well as Cyborgs, AIs,
pAIs and Xenomorphs.

## About The Pull Request
This will fix #95009. split_stack() calls qdel when the amount reaches

MrMelbertandGitHub ef28e00690 [MDB Ignore] Refactors gauze, adds Tourniquets (#95041)
## About The Pull Request

1. Refactors gauze

Removes gauze var from `/stack`, adds a shared parent between tape and
gauze.
Behavior of "sticking thing on limb" is now a bit more generic, with
there being a component to facilitate it and a framework on `/bodypart`

Closes #92990

2. Adds Tourniquets

A first aid item, when attached to a limb it reduces blood loss from
that limb by 90%.
However while attached you walk slower (if on a leg), interact slower
(if on a arm), and yes, you rapidly die if you put it on your head

Paramedic belts have their starting equipment changed again for the
500th time.
Surgical tape -> Tourniquet
Bone gel -> Bonesetter

<img width="604" height="224" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/443dd5c0-44a3-4ccb-9f6a-c561bbf2fba9"
/>

## Why It's Good For The Game

Adds some more variety for field treatment of bleeding wounds, and in
the future we can add things like "improvised tourniquets" or
"improvised splints" with wooden planks.

## Changelog

🆑 Melbert
add: Adds Tourniquets. While attached to a limb, reduces blood loss from
that limb by 90%, but makes you walk / interact slower. (Or if you put
it on your head, you die.)
add: You can purchase Tourniquets from the premium section of the
medical vendor
add: Paramedic belt setup has changed yet again: Surgical tape replaced
with Tourniquet, Bone gel replaced with Bonesetter.
add: You can use all forms of tape as splint - like Gauze. Will secure a
fracture but won't stop your blood from exiting.
refactor: Refactored gauze entirely, report any strangeness with it (or
tape, or tourniquets)

SmArtKarandGitHub 71a232f03b Makes lizard skin and lizardskin items inherit their "donor's" skin color (#94751)
## About The Pull Request

As title says, skin butchered from humans (currently only applies to
lizardskin) now inherits their owner's skin color, and so do items

SyncIt21andGitHub 468b351b86 Axes grind & juice vars into procs (#94592)
## About The Pull Request
Inspired by #94233. `grind_results`(list) & `juice_typepath`(typepath)
are only used when grinding & juicing after which the atom is deleted.
This means if that object is not processed these vars occupy memory &
don't do anything.

Now these values are only generated on demand by calling their
respective procs. Considering how these vars are on the obj level the
memory savings are quite significant

BloopandGitHub 7754938c72 Makes a bunch of lists lazy (#94239)
## About The Pull Request

Empy lists. There are a lot of 'em.

<img width="981" height="512" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b94b041a-2904-466b-ab89-54bd1de11b4e"
/>

Going through ways to reduce memory I found a few easy ones here. Wires,
the edible component, the seethrough component. None of these are really
a concern when it comes to needing lists in memory for performance
reasons. Wires aren't going to be cut most of the time for each door. A
lot of food does not have any junkiness. Seethrough component lies
dormant most of the round. Etc.

Making lists lazy in these cases should be a no brainer.

Everything I tested still seems to work exactly the same.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Frees memory that is just taking up space a lot of the time.

Not player-facing, this is all under-the-hood stuff.

Extends the part of the crafting unit test that ensures consistency
between the total mats of the components of a recipe (or rather, the
result of said recipe) and a generic instance of the same type as its
result, previously only implemented on food recipes.

## Why It's Good For The Game
This ensures a degree of consistency with the material composition of
various objects in the game. I couldn't do it in the original PR as that
one was too big already and it took months to get it merged, and have
the relative bugs fixed.

Currently a WIP as I slowly deal with the unit test reports.

## Changelog

🆑
refactor: Follow-up to the crafting/material refactor from months ago.
All objects crafted with stacks now inherit their mat composition (not
necessarily the effects and color) by default, while previously only a
few things like chair, sinks and toilets did. Report any object looking
or behaving weirdly as a result.
fix: The material composition of ammo boxes is no longer a 1/10 of what
it's supposed to be. It was a shitty hack to make it harder to recycle
empty ammo boxes. Instead, they lose materials as they're emptied now.

SmArtKarandGitHub f8cae70510 Fixes ore bags being able to reject any ores despite having ample space, stack merging sanity/QOL (#93451)
## About The Pull Request

Ore bags try to insert the stack without actually checking if it can
merge with anything, meaning that ores can take up limited slots which
may end up with 7 single-ore stacks preventing any more ore from
entering the bag, despite there being ample space for 49 more ore of
each type. Now bags will actually try to merge picked up ore into
themselves first, ensuring that this doesn't occur, and that the bag
will always be topped up (This needed additional logic to ensure that
stacks don't merge beyond the size that the storage they're in can
handle)

Additionally, I've changed how stacks merge when dragged (instead of
merging themselves into the target, target is merged into themselves)
and prevent dragging from changing focus to stack that is being merged
into if the merging stack isn't empty, fixing the "pull churn" issue
that locks out player inputs if you try to pry and drag floor tiles due
to constantly swapping the pull target after every tile pried, plus I've
removed that weird ore box `insertion` animation (which I recon is an
oversight) and ore bags sucking up the ores you drop from your hand
because you're probably doing so intentionally

## Changelog

GhomandGitHub a28575aa82 [NO GBP] Fixing more issues with sand (you can make sand walls again, also ghost glass sheets?) (#93215)
## About The Pull Request
Apparently wall construction code is snowflaked and indented as fuck
(and the same goes for door assemblies). I'm not bothering refactoring
everything with them, only to reduce the indentation, changing a couple
vars and overall making it easier to work with them later. This includes
wall construction not being hardcoded to sheets but include the
possibility to use other kind of stacks as well (if you don't count the
snowflake interaction with iron rods). In layman's terms, this means you
can make walls made out of sand (distinct from sandstone) again.

Also I've done some small changes to the materials storage, so that it
can eject ores too if the material doesn't have a sheet type.

Also, I've been told there may be issues with broken, uninteractable
(probably not properly initialized) glass sheets beside the ORM. I'm not
100% sure about the deets, but it may have something to do with spawning
the glass on the same turf the ORM is listening to, when smelting sand,
causing some race conditions, so let's spawn it in nullspace

## Why It's Good For The Game
While I'm sure there may be more elegant solutions (just take a look at
the wall and door construction code, they both use text2path oh god!),
I'm just here to make things a lil' cleaner and be done with issues with
the fact that sand is made of sand.

## Changelog

🆑
fix: You can once again make sand walls.
fix: Deconstructing an autolathe with sand in it should now drop sand.

## About The Pull Request

## Why It's Good For The Game
standardizing behavior. Might be a micro hit to performance however

having this lets us not rely on icon state to determine whether
something is a parent type and makes it much easier to tell something is
a parent type (could be applied further to things like admin spawning

Roxy ba988f2230 Refactor split_stack to two separate procs, fixes a hard delete in the process (#91306)
## About The Pull Request

I was trying to fix a hard delete and it became a whole thing
- Reworks `/obj/item/stack/proc/split_stack` to no longer also try to
put it in the user's hands, or take a user at all. The proc now purely
splits the stack and returns the new one
- Creates `/obj/item/stack/proc/split_n_take` which uses `split_stack`
and does the other behaviors like fingerprint adding and putting in the
user's hands
- Update usages of `split_stack` to either properly use it and remove
the code added to get around the put in hands behavior, or change them
to use `split_n_take` instead
- Fix a random bug in pipe bomb building I noticed while testing

## Why It's Good For The Game

Ultimately this fixes a hard delete with goldgrubs eating a piece of ore
while sitting on top of another piece of ore of the same type (the put
in hands behavior of split stack would cause the ore being consumed to
drop to the ground briefly, merge with the ore there, and then qdel
while still being moved to the goldgrub contents), but also added bonus
that it makes `split_stack` just split the stack and not some other
stuff too. Also a pipe bomb bug fix

_0StevenandGitHub 3b73af32c5 Table frame interaction refactor (#89880)
## About The Pull Request

So I was looking for `attackby(...)` instances to kill and, hey look,
table frames- oh what the fuck is this.
Oh why does this have the same checks like five times, across the parent
type and subtypes.

So this pr's primary point is to refactor the table frame
`attackby(...)` into `item_interaction(...)`, and by extension lower the
amount of weird `attackby(...)` override jank going on with them.
Instead of having all of the subtypes define their own almost exactly
the same table construction interactions, we use a single generic
interaction chain and add a new `get_table_type(...)` proc to let
subtypes override what tables to construct for what stacks.

We also move the assigning of frame-and-stack-related things to the
actual table types themselves, instead of specifying all these
interactions on the frame.

We also add screentips for deconstruction and table construction, again
using the `get_table_type(...)` proc so screentips can differentiate
between which stacks can and can't make a table for our table without
needing to change the screentips manually for the subtypes.

Beyond that is mostly generic clean-up.

I'm a bit icky on my implementation of
`/obj/item/stack/proc/get_table_type()`, because of hardcoding for
`/obj/structure/table/greyscale`, but I think it's better than the
alternatives.
This lets us use the old method of letting all `/obj/item/stack/sheet`
subtypes use the generic material table, but limit it to working as long
as they define a `material_type`. I feel it's better than letting broken
tables exist, needing to hardcode it on the table frame, or needing to
expect people to add the generic material table `table_type` whenever
they add a `material_type` (no one would do this).
## Why It's Good For The Game

Screentips good 👍
Less jank encountered good.
Specifically the inability to deconstruct table frames on right click
when tables can be deconstructed on right click has thrown me off so
many times it's wild.
## Changelog

this pr serves as a massive rework and buff to floorbots. i was a bit
sad that they dont get built much anymore so ive given them tons of more
utilities and uses.
Repairbots still inherit to place tiles and repair breaches. but they
can now rebuild walls, rebuild windows and repair structure and
machinery. Also Ive given them voicelines to add more character to them.
In short, they are very depressed with their job (however they express
their happy go lucky attitude when u emag them where they will start
deconstructing the station)

to demonstrate capabilities, here's a slightly sped up clip of some
repairbots patching up an area that was maxcapped 4 times:

https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/bddac3b0-1984-4571-85d3-c5283dd7c0de

When repairbots feel threatened, they will retract into their little
toolbox which u can pick up and hold in ur hand, either to conveniently
carry and plop them down at breached sites, or to bash skull with it

U can build them using a toolbox, proximity sensor, cyborg arm and a

2531d69ff4 refactoring how materials effects are added to atoms (#86901)
## About The Pull Request
I'm "cooking" the materials system a bit, specifically the code
responsible for applying and removing effects. My goal is to move most
of the code to the objects-side, split it in smaller procs that can be
more easily overriden or called for object-specific modifiers and
effects, while also revamping things all around to better support items
made from multiple materials (the cleric mace will most likely be one in
this PR, with the handle and tip made of different materials).

PR NO LONGER WIP, TESTED AND ALL, CLERIC MACES CAN NOW BE MADE OF TWO
MATERIALS.

## Why It's Good For The Game
One of the nastiest flaws with the materials system is that it's just
unfeasable to have items made of multiple mats (with effects enabled)
right now, as they easily tend to override each other, where some of the
modifiers and effects should only be applied the main material.

Beside, the system's starting to show signs of its time, from the
several type checks used to apply different effects, the one letter
variables to the the material flags that are still being passed down as
arguments when you can access them from the atom/source arg anyway. It
would be disonhest of me if I went ahead and coded material fishing rods
or whatever fish fuckery with materials without ensuring it won't
further the technical debt the feature currently has.

cdebe98a17 refactoring how materials effects are added to atoms (#86901)

## Changelog
🆑
refactor: Refactored materials code. report any issue.
add: Cleric maces (The autolathe-printable weapon design from outer
space) can now be made of two different materials.
balance: Buffed cleric maces a little.
fix: toolboxes' stats are now affected by materials again.

a4e7929a3b Lighters use welding fuel and can be used as welders in some cases (#85941)
## About The Pull Request

Lighters now have welding fuel which can be filled/extracted by hand,
giving a small but consistent source of welding fuel for non-chemists.
Welding fuel is now required for these lighters to work, they'll close
automatically once they're out of fuel.
They last for a minute, zippo lasts 2 minutes, before they need to be
refuelled. It can have other reagents put into it but it only checks for
welding fuel, so it won't work at all unless its got some.
They can be used as welding tools in minor cases, mostly fixing things
and welding doors shut, but can't do big things like deconstruction,
except the xenobio one because it's a lot hotter than the normal
lighter.

Also added a baseline support to check for heat to perform certain
welds, before heat is just this binary "has or doesnt have heat", which
made its value useless.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Adds a ghetto way of getting welding fuel, hiding reagents, and a ghetto
welding tool without being something that prisoners could break out of
prison with. They could weld the doors shut which is a little funny,
security still has proper welding tools to counter it.
It also currently is kinda lame that lighters could just be open 24/7,
unlike matches which has a lifespan of 10 seconds each or something.

## Changelog

add: Lighters now use and require welding fuel to work, but can be used
as a welding tool for tasks that don't require much heat.
