## About The Pull Request
Oh man, so this entire pr started because of two things:
1. A kinda hacky fix to #92123 that got closed a good while ago.
2. A borg I know mentioning you can't do custom say verbs over robotic
talk.
Which subsequently led me down this rabbit hole of say modes and custom
say verbs.
So! The most wide-reaching thing this does is merge the custom say
verb/radio emote logic that used to be specialcased in
`compose_message(...)` into `say_quote(...)`, renaming this to
`generate_messagepart(...)` with its new functionality. This means
things that don't use the exact same chain as living things talking
normally can still generate custom say verbs if given that message
modifier.
Then, we split up say modes into a "can we do this" and "try to do this"
check to reduce conflicts (like #92123), and forward more of our data to
the latter. This allows us to then edit the say modes to actually make
use of that data, and with the previous addition of
`generate_messagepart(...)` allow for custom say verbs to be used.
In doing this I realized the logging was kind of awkward and all over
the place, so we create the new logging helper `log_sayverb_talk(...)`
which handles selecting how we should log things based on the given
message modifiers.
For better or worse I forgot about this pr for a few weeks, so I don't
perfectly remember all the details, but those are the big key parts.
## Why It's Good For The Game
Fixes#92123.
I think custom say verbs are some of the best flavour we have for
talking over radio, and any situation benefits from that being possible.
It's great to be able to tap your microphone, and it's hilarious for an
AI to be able to emote beaming an image directly into the heads of their
borgs over robotic talk.
The rest is mostly cleanup.
## About The Pull Request
This explicitly specifies `type = MESSAGE_TYPE_RADIO` in `to_chat` for
various methods of communication (blood cult communion, abductor
telepathy, xeno hivemind, golem resonator, blob telepathy, changeling
hivemind, and binary chat), so that they will always be considered under
the "Radio" category by tgchat.
Also added `avoid_highlighting` to some, so they won't highlight your
own messages.
## Why It's Good For The Game
Makes going thru older messages find things that I accidentally missed
much easier.
## Changelog
🆑
qol: Messages from blood cult communion, abductor telepathy, xeno
hivemind, golem resonator, blob telepathy, changeling hivemind, and
binary chat are now considered "radio" messages by the chat, so they can
properly be sorted via chat tabs.
qol: Your own messages in blood cult communion,
abductor/xenomorph/changeling hivemind, or golem telepathy will no
longer be highlighted in chat (to prevent highlight spam whenever you
talk if you highlight your own name, mainly)

## About The Pull Request
This PR kills the abstract internal and external typepaths for organs,
now replaced by an EXTERNAL_ORGAN flag to distinguish the two kinds.
This PR also fixes fox ears (from #87162, no tail is added) and
mushpeople's caps (they should be red, the screenshot is a tad
outdated).
And yes, you can now use a hair dye spray to recolor body parts like
most tails, podpeople hair, mushpeople caps and cat ears. The process
can be reversed by using the spray again.
## Why It's Good For The Game
Time-Green put some effort during the last few months to untie functions
and mechanics from external/internal organ pathing. Now, all that this
pathing is good for are a few typechecks, easily replaceable with
bitflags.
Also podpeople and mushpeople need a way to recolor their "hair". This
kind of applies to fish tails from the fish infusion, which colors can't
be selected right now. The rest is just there if you ever want to
recolor your lizard tail for some reason.
Proof of testing btw (screenshot taken before mushpeople cap fix, right
side has dyed body parts, moth can't be dyed, they're already fabolous):

## Changelog
🆑
code: Removed internal/external pathing from organs in favor of a bit
flag. Hopefully this shouldn't break anything about organs.
fix: Fixed invisible fox ears.
fix: Fixed mushpeople caps not being colored red by default.

## About The Pull Request
What it says on the tin. I also replaced checks with it everywhere I
found appropriate, hopefully without accidentally breaking anything.
## Why It's Good For The Game
We have a helper for most other antags, and it makes code a lot cleaner
and easier to read. I'm surprised we didn't have this one already.
## Changelog

## About The Pull Request
I've stumbled across this enough to finally go through the entire
codebase and fix it. I left out changelogs simply because rewriting
history logs is bad.
## Why It's Good For The Game
I find it pretty annoying because I stumble across words that are
misspelled for a few seconds, and I'm likely not the only one who feels
like this. Less spelling mistakes in code are better.

## About The Pull Request
Fixes#76349
I didn't know that people needed to add any new traits to a global list
so they can be easily read in View Variables, and was pretty shocked to
find out many other people didn't know it was a thing. Let's make it a
thing by testing it using a new CI Python Linter to check this. But oh
no-

There were about 200+ missing traits. Alright, so let's do the
following:
* Move trait defines to their own dedicated folder in the `_DEFINES`
folder.
* Split up the traits mega-file into different files, for better
organization. One for the macros, one for the sources, and a few for the
"trait declarations"
* Run the linter a load of times and add everything to the globalvars
file, removing anything that's no longer used and figuring out where the
best categorization of it is. also minor code improvements. also rename
all of the ones that look weird. also fix list indentations
* Also alphabetize the lists because it's easy
* Move everything to a new `traits_by_type` list, while keeping the
admin one the way it is for the time being while we figure out a better
way to show that list to admins.
* Profit
## Why It's Good For The Game
Mapping trait injectors will now work for any type of trait. You
shouldn't add any trait via this injector though, but you're no longer
limited to coders remembering to add it to that critical list you
needed.
Lays the framework for a better view variables experience. This work is
too lengthy to presently do, but hopefully we can get this done sooner
rather than later. we will need a code-accessible way to view these
traits for such a framework to be implemented, so let's just do that.
Future steps are to break down the mega-declarations file into a folder
full of separate files by typepath, but that requires a lot of auditing.
Does need to happen one day though, there's a lot of mob traits mingled
with datum traits and auuugh we gotta do this later this PR is already
massive.
there's probably ways to game this but this catches _my_ mistakes so
good luck to everyone else (it should work for 99% of everyone)
## Changelog
Nothing applicable to players. However, to mappers, the mapping trait
injector should always be able to add any kind of trait (which is rather
good for the times when you need it).
## About The Pull Request
Fixes#68825Fixes#72249Fixes#70184
Converts maintenance drones to use the basic mob framework. As drones
don't use AI, this was mostly a perfunctory conversion, but I took the
opportunity to clean up drone code a bit and fixed a few bugs.
Noteworthy changes:
- Drones now have a `can_unhack` field. This is set to FALSE on
syndrones, because unhacking them doesn't make them stop being evil but
does cause some weirdness. Syndrones are unused right now, but you never
know.
- Drones use the Dextrous component for hand-having.
- Drones no longer have an internal ID card, instead being given
all-access with the `simple_access` component.
- Picking up drones now works the same as for other mobs, instead of
pointlessly copying the code into `attack_hand`. As a consequence, it is
now possible to punch drones if you want to for some reason.
- Drones can now reboot/cannibalize dead drones without being in combat
mode.
- Cannibalizing a drone that contains a client no longer runtimes - the
client is ghosted ahead of time.
- Drones now have TRAIT_ADVANCEDTOOLUSER, allowing them to properly
interact with machines.
- Trying to screwdriver a dead drone now gives a balloon alert about why
you can't do that.
In addition to these changes, I cleaned up the code quite a bit,
organizing things better and placing more useful comments throughout.
And removing a hell of a lot of single-letter variable names.
I will note that this PR does _not_ address #72129. The issue there is
that sprites for drones-as-hats are entirely nonexistent, and I'm not a
spriter. It shouldn't be too hard to fix if someone makes dronehat
sprites, though!
## Why It's Good For The Game
Kills 8 more simple animals.
In addition to that, drones were clearly a bit neglected, so this fixes
them up a bit and makes the code a little bit clearer. Maybe not that
much clearer, but it's something. It certainly leaves them in a better
place for further work if anyone wants to do that. Plus, a bunch of bugs
and other jankiness are fixed now, which is nice.
## Changelog
🆑
refactor: Maintenance Drones now use the basic mob framework. This
shouldn't come with any noticeable gameplay changes, but please report
any bugs.
fix: Drones can now interact normally with electrified doors.
fix: Drones' built-in tools can no longer be placed in storage objects
and/or thrown on the floor.
fix: Drones can now perform right-click interactions correctly, such as
deconstructing reinforced windows.
fix: Drones can now reboot or cannibalize other drones without being in
combat mode.

## About The Pull Request
Mafia is now friggin playable from the PDA, I also changed other stuff
too
- You can't use abilities on dead people if you're not supposed to (cant
kill the same person over and over)
- Changelings cant kill other Changelings
- Changelings can now only talk to eachother at night, rather than using
:j
- Everyone starts spawned in the center of the map, since people playing
on PDA can't move their characters. This is so everyone can hear PDA
users in person, as I don't want the chat log to be mandatory.
To do this, all messages you are meant to be able to see, is now logged
for you to see in your Mafia panel. This essentially means that people
playing through the PDA get a downgraded version of it, but I don't know
how much larger I want this UI to be.
Playing Mafia through the PDA will not tell you of other players ahead
of time when signing up (as it shows ckeys + pdas), but they can see the
names in-game. Unfortunately this means we'll have to remove your
customization coming with you, to prevent using it to tell who is dead
in round.
Things I am missing
- Program overlays on PDA/Laptop/Computer
- Icon for the app's header while a game is active
I'm not a spriter and can't make either of these
This is the new UI

I also fixed alert calls for PDAs and stuff

and removed the X at the top on computers since they had no battery

Looks a little better now hopefully 👍
## Why It's Good For The Game
- The current Arcade app sucks, and is a solo game. This is much more
entertaining and you can talk to others in it, which is swag as fuck.
- There's a larger potential playerbase for the Minigame making it more
likely to be played.
- Sets groundwork for a better version of
https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/75879
- Adds more suspense and teamwork in the minigame.

## About The Pull Request
Turns all Mafia abilities into datums, instead of being a bunch of
shitcode on every single job.
This means it's easier to add new roles
Gives new names to some defines (such as the signal order, to make it
easier to tell when something is fired)
Adds support for modular Mafia jobs with their abilities being in a
certain order (Escort is now properly first).
De-snowflakes Changeling killing abilities and day voting, they're now
actions that are tallied when necessary.
Turns time vars into defines
Generalizes a lot of behavior for abilities, now all abilities can
properly undo their action at night
Fixes problems with the UI (Thoughtfeeder had 2 buttons during night and
they overlapped with names, that's been fixed).
### Behavior changes
- Doctor/Officer can now protect themselves 1 night, because it gives
them a way to protect themselves.
- Lawyer/Warden/Ect now choose their abilities at night, rather than the
day before. The suspense building up towards the end of the night is
part of the game, telling you that it happened at the very start is
quite lame (in the case of Lawyer, anyway).
- Admin setup now uses TGUI instead of html inputs.
- Cut night time by like, 5 seconds, because I found it a little long
lol.
- HoP doesn't count as votes to win until they reveal, because it makes
no sense an unrevealed HoP has their unrevealed votes tallied. I also
like those 1v1 Mayor V. Evil scenarios where dead chat goes crazy, and
hope to replicate that here.
- Mafia now needs 6 people to start instead of 4, because 4 players is
just not enough to play a Mafia round that will do anything but annoy
people.
- The game no longer ends if it's in a standoff with 1 Town, 1 Mafia,
and 1 Neutral, as you've got a kingmaker and they should decide who
wins.
### Things I want to change in the future
Every time night starts/ends, it checks the entire ``GLOB.airlocks`` for
doors with the "mafia" ID. This is stupid.
Rework ``check_victory()`` to make it make more sense, and be more fun
for players.
A visible death animation?
I want to use something similar to admin popup for messages about people
being on stand, and decluttering the UI in general
Also more use of balloon alerts instead of to chat messages for
everything.
Also also, making the UI more responsive to players. Button should be
red when a player is selected, so they know that's who they've selected,
if they want to unselect.
Are votes public when you first cast them? They shouldn't be wtf.
Can we also make the description for roles not be a to chat message? It
can just say when you hover over the '?' come on.
User-written wills instead of auto-generated, and able to send them in
chat
Add support for roleblock-immune roles
## Why It's Good For The Game
Updates a lot of old code to modern standards
Makes it considerably easier to work with Mafia and add new roles
Makes things less prone to breaking as easily.
Code also looks a lot cleaner now.
## Changelog
🆑
refactor: [Mafia] All Mafia abilities have been overhauled in the
backend, it's now much easier to understand what each role's ability can
do and how it works.
admin: [Mafia] Admin setup of Mafia is now in TGUI
balance: [Mafia] Doctors/Officers can protect themselves once per game.
Be careful around them!
fix: [Mafia] Thoughtfeeder's UI buttons at night won't overlap with
eachother.
fix: [Mafia] HoP's votes now actually matter, instead of being purely
visual.
qol: [Mafia] Lawyers, Wardens, etc. now perform their night ability at
night, instead of the day prior.
qol: [Mafia] Night time now lasts 40 seconds instead of 45.

## About The Pull Request
Refactors regenerate organs to be slightly more intelligent in handling
organ changes and replacements.
Noteably:
- We don't remove organs that were modified by the owner; such as
changing out your heart for a cybernetic
- We early break out of the for loop if they aren't supposed to have an
organ there and remove it
- We check for the organ already being correct, and just healing it and
continuing if it is
Also changes the names of some of the organ helpers into snake_case

Departmental shorthand (.h/:h) is a convenience alias that should apply

FUCKING CONFLICT.
if you are ai and not in a holopad, it should go to binary.
if you are ai and in a holopad, it should go to the holopad.
if you are borg it should go to binary
if you are xeno it should go to alien
Removing it from the AI over a stupid need to made universal broad
reaching rules that can be declared upon the code was stupid.
This entire unittest is needlessly overboard and over generic putting
"rules" that are not backed up by logic on the codebase in a way that
hinders making good UX, not help.
The datumized saymode system not being able to handle this complexity
when the old hardcoded system could is a problem with the datumized

Readds the changeling hivemind, but in a simplified form.
There is no linglinking. It was rarely used and imma be real with you, stupid.
Hivemind isn't an unlocked ability, it is just a default.
Bz still mutes lings
Fallen changelings now get an agonizing message about being locked out. We love fallen changeling flavor
Changelings have their Honorific names back! Hello, Mr. Omnicron!
This does NOT readd changeling team objectives, or really anything encouraging teaming beyond the hivemind itself.
I think antagonists have generally lost a lot of power versus the station, and this is one big way to pump up the heat for this antag in particular. Changelings, given an ability to possibly team up, are much MUCH scarier.
One reason it was removed years ago was because teaming was too often, but back then there were entire gamemodes about changelings having team objectives and many other things to encourage it. I'm bringing us back to a point BEFORE all those design ideas were explored, because I don't think they worked out.
Add information about the changeling hivemind, and the dangers of being turned into a fallen changeling if you get betrayed to the Changeling Antag Info UI

What the title says. But why?
I generally have a rule when making a contribution, that is "don't make the game less fun"
I'm not salting, I didn't die to a swarmer.
... Yet that's the problem. Swarmers are the griefiest antag in the game, but when you complain that they're annoying or unfun, you're doomed to hear "lol they can't even hurt you though."
WELL THAT ACTUALLY MAKES THEM WORSE. I would rather die to a hundred xenos and space dragons than be forced to untie myself in maintenance for 45 seconds while the shuttle leaves.
Why It's Good For The Game
Unfun game modes should be removed from the game.
Being griefed by swarmers is annoying
Playing as a swarmer is not very exciting either. Click on iron.

I only changed code that was spelt correctly, so if there actually is a typo somewhere, it isn't changed
Converts most spans into span procs. Mostly used regex for this and sorted out any compile time errors afterwards so there could be some bugs.
Was initially going to do defines, but ninja said to make it into a proc, and if there's any overhead, they can easily be changed to defines.
Makes it easier to control the formatting and prevents typos when creating spans as it'll runtime if you misspell instead of silently failing.
Reduces the code you need to write when writing spans, as you don't need to close the span as that's automatically handled by the proc.
(Note from Lemon: This should be converted to defines once we update the minimum version to 514. Didn't do it now because byond pain and such)
Removes all /datum/game_mode except dynamic. Eventually, all of mode and game_mode will be removed, and Dynamic will become an ingrained system.
