JacquerelandGitHub 8c6062e948 Traitor Reputation does not scale with population & reintroduces population locked items (#89617)
## About The Pull Request

Closes #89617

Prior to progression traitor some items were only available with a
minimum number of (normally 25) players in the round.
These items were:
- The dual esword
- Noslip shoes
- The ebow
- Holoparasite
- Sleeping Carp
- Contractor Kit
- Maybe a couple of others that I forgot to write down

When we moved to a progression system this concept was merged with
reputation; under 20 players your reputation would advance more slowly
thus making these "dangerous" items less obtainable and also serving as
a sort of scaling factor on rewards (with fewer players the secondary
objectives are easier to complete, so the reward is commesurately
lower).

Now that we have removed secondary objectives this doesn't really make
sense any more, so now reputation simply advances at a rate of one
second per second all the time, but that leaves the old population locks
in question.

So... I just recoded items that are only available when there are enough
players

![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/206577f0-dfdb-4b53-a00f-36e39b2a7f44)

![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/8f840168-9550-4c77-aad0-cb87beb20499)
(This iconography simply vanishes once the pop level is reached).

Note that this is based on "players who have joined" (roundstart +
latejoin), not "players who are online" or "players who are alive".
Once an item becomes available it will never stop being available, but
it only becomes available based on people who are playing and not
watching.

Currently the only items I applied this to (with a value of 20 players)
are:
- Dual esword
- Sleeping Carp
- Spider Extract (the spider antagonist usually requires like 27
players)
- Romerol

It isn't applied to anything else.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Reputation isn't really a tool used to designate how dangerous an item
is any more (if it ever was) and resultingly it doesn't make any sense
to slow its gain based on population.
Some items though we maybe still don't want to show up in a "low pop"
round because they'll create an overall unsatisfying experience, so we
should be able to remove those items from play.

## Changelog

🆑
balance: Traitor reputation now advances at a fixed rate, not dependent
on current server population.
balance: The dual esword, sleeping carp scroll, spider extract, and
romerol vial cannot be purchased if fewer than 20 players have joined
the game.

JacquerelandGitHub 23ac16411d Removes Secondary & Final Objectives from Traitors (#89466)
## About The Pull Request

![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/cb0bffb3-33be-4fb1-baec-a4d0f4a4cd57)
Pre-discussed with @Watermelon914, this PR removes Secondary & Final
Objectives from all Traitors, rather than just midround ones. It also
removes all of the surrounding supporting code.
Randomly assigned Primary Objectives still exist, I just used the
ability to rewrite mine to take the screenshot.

In terms of final objectives, the surrounding items that were available
still exist but don't necessarily have sources.
If anyone has good ideas for readding these in some other form it can be
done in future PRs.

It also allows all traitors to buy the Contractor kit, previously
limited to midround traitors which lacked secondary objectives, because
now all traitors lack secondary objectives.

This essentially limits all traitors to a maximum of 20 TC (16 if they
spawn with an uplink implant). Currently I don't foresee that they
strictly need any additional way of gaining TC during a round as 20 is
quite sufficient, but it may take some time to adjust and get used to it
after such a long time of having access to more. If we need to adjust
the starting value or add a slow drip of more points over time or
something, that can be done in followup PRs.

This also removes the ability to recreate your uplink added by my
beautiful wife in #74315
This was part of the progression traitor design document, but ultimately
probably a bad idea as it essentially made traitors impossible to
properly disarm. You will once more just need to carefully protect your
uplink.

**This does not remove the threat/progression system**.
Like midround traitors, all Reputation requirements on gear are now
simple timelocks, most of which will have elapsed by the time 30 minutes
have passed.

**Finally** this PR also adds Romerol to the traitor uplink for 25 TC
and 30 minutes of reputation, as a treat (and because I removed the
final objective that previously granted it).

## Why It's Good For The Game

We've tried this system for a long time (3 years last month!) and while
I think it had a lot of promise, enabled some cool moments, and also
solved several of the problems it set out to solve, overall I think some
of the behaviours it has encouraged in players have been overall
negative for the game.
While the _game systems_ are fine, even quite fun and cool (especially
final objectives) I am of the opinion that having them in the game
creates a net negative purely in the way that they react with players'
_brains_, creating incentives towards behaviour we don't actually want
people to pursue.

While it's hard-to-impossible to prove any of this with hard data, there
has been a prevailing feeling for some time among many (though certainly
not all) people that the simple fact of _having_ a constant drip-feed of
objective available to players leads directly to less interesting
antagonist play. While certainly nobody is _forced_ to do secondary
objectives you are directly and quite strongly rewarded for doing so,
doing so efficiently, and doing so in a way which makes sure that nobody
(alive) sees you do it. This leads to a tendency to play defensively and
try to maximise the number of tasks you can complete in one round, which
also has a knock-on effect of generally minimising the number of people
you attempt to interact with in a round (unless you are killing them).

Even people who _intend_ on doing some more interesting gimmick can fall
into this trap, as "having more tools" is always useful for anyone who
is intending on any kind of plan at all, but then executing on the
secondary objectives again incentivises you to lay low, not interact
with anyone, be efficient, and then reduces the time you are spending
doing the thing that's your actual plan for the round. Removing the
ever-present temptation to fish for extra TC leaves "doing whatever your
actual plan is" as the sole thing to optimise.

Final Objectives too have created unfortunate psychological effects
between crewsided players and other antagonists. Because of the _threat_
(no matter how remote, Final Objectives have always been tuned to be
appropriately rare) that leaving any antagonist alone will cause them to
snowball by acquiring more power, it starts to feel foolish to respond
to any threat with less than the maximum possible level of force even if
they seem relatively innocuous in the moment. This even has an effect on
other non-progression antagonists, as traitors are the most common
antagonist type and how people treat them is going to be their default
level of reaction to most other station threats.

While there has always been the promise of expanding the system with
novel and exciting objectives that leverage appearing mid-round to do
something unique, we've taken very little advantage of that over time.
Most objectives we have added that didn't boil down to "kill someone,
with a twist" have been somewhat unsuccessful, serving either as ways to
get yourself arrested and killed for no reason or ways to get free
telecrystals by doing something the crew don't really care about
stopping you from doing. The option still exists to add more roundstart
objectives to traitors, if someone suddenly has a great idea that would
fit in this space.

The ideal outcome of making this change is a slight relaxation of crew
attitude towards feeling like their only option after catching an
antagonist that isn't sandbagging is to permanently remove them from the
round (although it's fine to do this still in many scenarios), and a
broadening of traitorous activity which is not purely focused on
collecting as many checkboxes as possible and might give people more
time to roleplay with other players, not worrying that this time could
have been more efficiently spent pursuing a different secondary goal.
I don't anticipate or desire that this will prevent traitors from
killing anyone (or even stop them from killing people they don't have a
specific objective to kill), I just want to remove the FOMO from
people's minds.

Also this gives us something to talk about at the coder townhall meeting
on the 22nd.

del: Misplaced or stolen traitor uplinks can no longer be recreated
using a radio code and special device, guard yours carefully or buy a
backup implant.
del: Roundstart traitors can no longer take on additional objectives in
order to earn additional Telecrystals and fast-forward any unlock timers
on items. They also cannot earn the ability to complete a Final
Objective.
balance: Roundstart traitors can now buy the Contractor Kit from their
traitor uplink, rather than only midround traitors.
add: Traitors can buy Romerol for 25 TC, after 30 minutes of time has
passed in a round.

Y0SH1M4S73RandGitHub c597ea9850 syndicate sleeper agents can forge custom objectives (#87180)
## About The Pull Request

The removal of the ability for midround traitors to take progression
objectives had the run-on effect of preventing them from using their
uplink to view their primary objectives, which also means they cant
forge custom objectives. This PR changes that, and provides additional
logic in uplink ui code to account for uplinks belonging to traitors
with one type of objective but not the other.

san7890andGitHub c403a6eccc Wraps lowertext() to ensure proper stringification. (#82442)
## About The Pull Request

Fixes #82440

This PR just creates a new macro, `LOWER_TEXT()` (yes the irony is not
lost on me) to wrap around all calls of `lowertext()` and ensure that
whatever we input into that proc will be stringified using the `"[]"`
(or `tostring()` for the nerds) operator. very simple.

I also added a linter to enforce this (and prevent all forms of
regression) because I think that machines should do the menial work and
we shouldn't expect maintainers to remember this, let me know if you
disagree. if there is a time when it should be opted out for some
reason, the linter does respect it if you wrap your input with the
`UNLINT()` function.

John WillardandGitHub fdcd4d3979 Adds a signal to buying items from the uplink (& fixes TC misinfo) (#81372)
## About The Pull Request

Adds a signal when someone buys an item from the uplink and removes
single-letter vars from the ``spawn_item`` proc, and adds/standardizes
add/removing of telecrystals from uplinks (and admin setting how much TC
they have) to ensure the UI always has the right amount of telecrystals
displayed in it.

## Why It's Good For The Game

There are reasons why someone would want to hook up to a traitor's
uplink and listen to items they purchase to do any special effect
on-purchase, so this adds support to do anything in the future with it.
Also tells players how much TC they actually have without forcing them

GhomandGitHub f9957b0373 Integrated circuits for modular computers (#80530)
## About The Pull Request
This PR integrates circuits for modular computers and a good bits of
their programs.
The peculiarity here is that modular computers have no fixed amount of
unremovable components (except the base one with just a couple ports for
now), instead, they're added and removed along with programs. With a few
exceptions (such as the messenger and signaler), for these program
circuits to work, their associated program has to be either open or in
the background.

For a reason or another, not all programs have a circuit associated to
them, still, however the programs with a circuit are still a handful.
They are:
- Nanotrasen Pay System
- Notepad
- SiliConnect
- WireCarp
- MODsuit Control
- Spectre Meter
- Direct Messenger*
- LifeConnect
- Custodial Locator
- Fission360
- Camera
- Status Display
- SignalCommander

*By the by, sending messages has a cooldown, so it shouldn't be as
spammy. If it turns out to not be enough, I can make it so messages from
circuit will be ignored by other messenger circuits.

The PR is no longer WIP.

## Why It's Good For The Game
I believe modular computers could make for some interesting setups with
circuits, since they're fairly flexible and stocked with features unlike
many other appliances, therefore also a speck more abusable, though
limits, cooldowns, logging and sanitization have been implemented to
keep it in check.

## Changelog

🆑
add: Modular Computers now support integrated circuits. What can be done
with them depends on the programs installed and whether they're running
(open or background).
add: Modular Consoles (the machinery) now have a small backup cell they
draw power from if the power goes out.

edbc7c5622 PDA update (Messenger works while dead, Microwave works, etc). (#80069)
## About The Pull Request

This is an update that touches many more things all at once (compared to
my other PRs) meant to make PDAs in general feel more consistent and not
take away from one of the experiences we want to encourage: interaction
between players.

1. Replaced all checks of a 'pda' with a 'modular pc'. This means
technically (though not done in-game currently) other modpcs can hold an
uplink, and microwaves can charge laptops.
2. Speaking of microwave, they now don't break and require
deconstruction if the cell is removed mid-charge.
3. When a Mod PC is out of power, it will now allow the Messenger to
work (which now also doesn't consume any additional power), if the app
exists on the PC. Here's a video demonstration

https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/assets/53777086/7ae12f81-a271-49b8-95fa-2ba54d2e2d1f

4. Flashlights can't be turned on while the cell is dead
5. I replaced a bunch of program vars with ``program_flags`` and renamed
``usage_flags`` to ``can_run_on_flags``.
6. Added a debug modPC that has every app installed by default. Mafia
had some issues in the past that were unknown because Mafia wasn't
preinstalled with any tablet so was never in create & destroy nor in any
other unit test. This was just an easy solution I had, but PDAs should
get more in-depth unit tests in the future for running apps n stuff- I
just wanted to make sure no other apps were broken/harddeling.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Currently when a PDA dies, its only use is to reply to PDA messages sent
to you, since you can still reply to them. Instead of just fixing it and
telling players to cope, I thought it would be nice to allow PDA
Messenger to still work, as it is a vital app.
You can call it some emergency power mode or whatever, I don't really
mind the reason behind why it is this way.

When I made cells used more on PDAs, my main goal was to encourage
upgrading your PDA and/or limiting how many apps you use at once, I did
not want this to hit on players who use it as a form of interaction.
This is the best of both worlds, I think.

The rest of the changes is just for modularity, if some downstream wants
to add tablets, phone computers, or whatever the hell else, they can
still get just as far as PDAs should be able to get to, hopefully.

## Changelog

🆑
add: PDAs with a dead power cell are now limited to using their
Messenger app.
fix: Microwaves now stop charging PDAs if the cell was removed

fix: Microwaves can now charge laptops.

fix: You can now hold a laptop up to a camera (if it has a notekeeper
app installed) like PDAs already could.

JacquerelandGitHub 6d258e5527 Choose your own Objective (#78118)
## About The Pull Request

![image](https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/assets/7483112/12d3cf8d-4538-42c3-a962-bf2d6653ef55)

![image](https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/assets/7483112/60981726-8495-47e8-8924-dd18c000fdfe)

This PR adds the ability for solo antagonists (Traitor, Changeling,
Heretic, Wizard, Malfunctioning AI, and Ninja) to "write-in" their own
objectives in place of the ones the game gave them.
For traitors this is located on the uplink (though the button is not
present if you aren't the owner of the uplink, thieves can't give you a
troll objective) and for everyone else it is on the antagonist
information panel.

Pressing this button will replace all of your objectives _except_ ones
like "escape alive" or "survive" or "die a glorious death".
By default a player can only do this once per round, but the Traitor
Panel admin tool contains a button which can display the prompt again.

Custom-entered objectives are not mechanically tracked in any way and do
not report success or failure on the round end screen, whether they were
successful or not is up to you the audience. Resultingly, doing this
will make you ineligible for getting the hardcore random points from
completing your objectives.

Admins are capable of using this button to show the prompt to _any_
antagonist, including team antagonists, but do so at their own risk. A
single cultist changing their objective to something else only updates
them, not their team.
Admins can also choose whether or not it replaces existing objectives or
just adds a new one entered by the player.

When someone sets a new objective, it informs any active administrators
of their choice and provides linked buttons to send them a syndicate
radio message or immediately smite them, because unfortunately our
players cannot always be trusted with arbitrary text entry.
I _didn't_ make this a system which requires approval because I don't
think admins _want_ that level of micromanagement, although plausibly if
it is thought to be a good idea I could add a time delay and reject
button similar to the "rename the station" charter item.

Heretics work slightly differently and have an "Are you sure?"
confirmation other antagonists lack.
This is because Heretic objectives are directly tied to ascension, thus
by replacing the objectives you are locking yourself out from being able
to do it.
I don't _necessarily_ think this is a terrible thing, because "try to
ascend" _is_ the default objective. There's no point entering a new one
if that is what you want to do anyway.

While I was in here I gave Ninjas a very rudimentary custom antagonist
panel, because they didn't have one.
I also made their C4 display where it can be detonated on examine, in
case you no longer have the relevant objective to reference.

## Why It's Good For The Game

It's a reasonably frequent refrain that "Objectives are just guidelines"
and that more interesting players should strive to ignore them and do
something else, I would hope this would encourage that kind of
behaviour.
If you _are_ going off and doing your own thing, now other players can
actually see what it was that you were trying to do when the round ends
(and judge you based on whether you actually did it).

This bug was, to my knowledge, introduced with bubby traitors when
uplinks were turned into components, as the code no longer supported it
due to what I presume to be an oversight, since there's plenty of
references to it ingame still.

> Turned TC reimbursement into a bespoke element.

Seemed like the best way of doing this. Since for some godforsaken
reason attackby() is one-way only (no attackto() ), the uplink component
sends a signal to any item hit with it instead.

LemonInTheDarkandGitHub ae5a4f955d Pulls apart the vestiges of components still hanging onto signals (#75914)
## About The Pull Request

Signals were initially only usable with component listeners, which while
no longer the case has lead to outdated documentation, names, and a
similar location in code.

This pr pulls the two apart. Partially because mso thinks we should, but
also because they really aren't directly linked anymore, and having them
in this midstate just confuses people.

[Renames comp_lookup to listen_lookup, since that's what it
does](https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/commit/102b79694fa8eb57ecf7b36032616a9e368ccced)

Sol NandGitHub 11cbbba018 Replaceable Traitor Uplinks (#74315)
## About The Pull Request

Following [from the suggestion in this hackmd
](https://hackmd.io/IkDWWkpfQa2lkdevsnLqhA?view#Replacement-Uplinks)with
a few twists of my own, I have made a method for traitors to acquire a
replacement traitor uplink that has its own set of flaws and limiters in
order to prevent abuse.

![ZC0WYDFRzc](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/116288367/228101432-9352390b-9538-4c62-8dc4-55e2e798c466.png)

The basic pitch is as follows, all traitors now start with a new,
crafting recipe exclusive to them, it costs a teleport beacon, a
bluespace crystal, and some iron and cable coil, and then allows them to
build a static, dense machine that they can synchronize with, which
allows the machine to know what signal it should be looking out for from
the traitor.

![dreamseeker_iErI3vju0C](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/116288367/228094286-c2bca198-82cd-4ce0-a4a7-c26c24a9327c.gif)

The traitor then uses any radio, sets it to the frequency that has been
added to their static antagonist ui, and then speaks their codeword,
also in the ui, and then a few things happen.

![dreamseeker_gbzSFeHuS5](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/116288367/228094354-a649c713-f013-4ac2-b8d7-0754a852f987.gif)

Most obviously, they get a replacement uplink that is in the conspicuous
shape of the nukie or lone op uplink. This uplink can be unlocked by
speaking your replacement codeword to it again, it remembers your
previous TC amount and locks all other uplinks associated with your
uplink handler(they can then be unlocked as normal). It also destroys
any other replacement uplinks associated with your uplink handler, which
means you can never have more than one replacement uplink.

This means that if your uplink has been confiscated and you left it
unlocked, if it hasn't been emptied out you can continue from where you
were, and if you want to get back on the TC grind you won't lose the new
TC to whoever stole your uplink. Of course, the new uplink can not be
locked, so you have to be more careful with it or buy an uplink implant
and destroy it. You can destroy your replacement uplink with a
screwdriver right click, same for the machine.

Additionally, the Syndicate Uplink Beacon has another quirk to it, which
is that the teleporter beacon used to create it is intact, which means
people eagle eyed on the teleporter console could go find you, not to
mention that if you use an existing teleporter beacon, someone might
notice its gone missing...

oh also while making the replacement uplink i found a bug caused by a
recent pr that broke debug uplinks due to them not having a purchase
log. thats fixed too

## Why It's Good For The Game

It can be easy to lose your uplink, and as a traitor having your uplink
confiscated, even if it is locked, feels really bad. While the old
traitor objectives were added back to prog traitor to prevent situations
where a confiscated uplink meant that you were completely aimless, I
think that having a backup solution would be good for more inexperienced
traitors or for ones who get unlucky.

Hopefully this is generally balanced well enough but there are a few
levers that can be pulled, but overall I do think that making it so that
traitors can always get a chance to get an uplink and do some objectives
is good for the game. I like the idea of someone getting perma'd,
someone breaks them out, they both craft a new uplink beacon, and then
they go back and get the traitors old gear with stuff they got from the
new uplink, I think that's a cool possibility to throw into the sandbox.

san7890andGitHub ccef887efe Lints Against Unmanaged Local Defines (#74333)
# MAINTAINER - USE THE BUTTON THAT SAYS "MERGE MASTER" THEN SET THE PR
TO AUTO-MERGE! IT'S MUCH EASIER FOR ME TO FIX THINGS BEFORE THEY SKEW
RATHER THAN AFTER THE FACT.

## About The Pull Request

Hey there,

This took a while to do, but here's the gist:

Python file now regexes every file in `/code` except for those that have
some valid reason to be tacking on more global defines. Some of those
reasons are simply just that I don't have the time right now (doing what
you see in this PR took a few hours) to refactor and parse what should
belong and what should be thrown out. For the time being though, this PR
will at least _halt_ people making the mistake of not `#undef`ing any
files they `#define` "locally", or within the scope of a file.

Most people forget to do this and this leads to a lot of mess later on
due to how many variables can be unmanaged on the global level. I've
made this mistake, you've made this mistake, it's a common thing. Let's
automatically check for it so it can be fixed no-stress.

Scenarios this PR corrects:

* Forgetting to undef a define but undeffing others.
* Not undeffing any defines in your file.
* Earmarking a define as a "file local" define, but not defining it.
* Having a define be a "file local" define, but having it be used
elsewhere.
* Having a "local" define not even be in the file that it only shows up
in.
* Having a completely unused define*

(* I kept some of these because they seemed important... Others were
junked.)
## Why It's Good For The Game

If you wanna use it across multiple files, no reason to not make it a
global define (maybe there's a few reasons but let's assume that this is
the 95% case).

Let me know if you don't like how I re-arranged some of the defines and
how you'd rather see it be implemented, and I'd be happy to do that.
This was mostly just "eh does it need it or not" sorta stuff.

I used a pretty cool way to detect if we should use the standardized
GitHub "error" output, you can see the results of that here
https://github.com/san7890/bruhstation/actions/runs/4549766579/jobs/8022186846#step:7:792
## Changelog
Nothing that really concerns players.

(I fixed up all this stuff using vscode, no regexes beyond what you see
in the python script. sorry downstreams)

55528681b1 Reduces progression cost of a lot of traitor items. Groups assassinate/behead/eyesnatching objectives together so that they're treated the same under the traitor no-dupe rules. (#74270)
<!-- Write **BELOW** The Headers and **ABOVE** The comments else it may
not be viewable. -->
<!-- You can view Contributing.MD for a detailed description of the pull
request process. -->

## About The Pull Request

<!-- Describe The Pull Request. Please be sure every change is
documented or this can delay review and even discourage maintainers from
merging your PR! -->
Assassinate/behead/eyesnatching objectives now share one common type so
that they don't end up sharing the same targets. Also, this allows me to
limit the amount of assassinate/behead/eyesnatch objectives by treating
them like one objective type instead of 3 separate objective types.
As a result, you can only get 4 of these objectives within a 15 minute
period, which means your potential objective list won't be flooded with
assassinate/kidnap objectives.

Additionally, progression costs for traitor items have been rebalanced.
Primarily, progression costs have either been removed or reduced for
most non-murderboney traitor items. There are a few notable exceptions
where the progression costs have been removed/reduced for murderboney
traitor items, primarily for the Clown Car and His Grace. I'll go into
the reasoning why below.

Also fixed an obscure bug where traitor categories with a list depth
greater than 2 would have their list mutated because they weren't being
properly deep copied.
Also, purchasing His Grace or Syndicate Balloon will now lock you out of
future purchases and they can't be bought if you've already bought other
items.
## Why It's Good For The Game

<!-- Argue for the merits of your changes and how they benefit the game,
especially if they are controversial and/or far reaching. If you can't
actually explain WHY what you are doing will improve the game, then it
probably isn't good for the game in the first place. -->
Less duplicate objectives is for the better. Also, this'll give some of
the other objectives some breathing room to appear.

Progression costs have been normalised amongst the more
murderbone-orientated items so that they all mostly unlock at 30 minutes
for consistency purposes.

Progression costs have been largely reduced for non-murderboney items
because most of these items didn't need a progression cost in the first
place, as they weren't really a problematic tool to use at the start of
a round.
For the items where their progression cost was reduced to 5 minutes,
I'll go into the reasoning why now:
**Clown car** - It's not really a tool that's used for murderbone and it
works best at the start of a round. It can end up killing a large
portion of the crew, but it takes a lot of effort to reach that point. I
think reducing the progression cost of the clown car to 5 minutes allows
for the clown car gimmick to happen more often.
**His Grace** - Now this is a tool that is used primarily to go on a
murderbone, but the reason that the progression cost has been decreased
down to 5 minutes is because I think it's the one tool where you are
supposed to get it at the start of a round and go on a murderbone, given
its absurd price tag and the fact that you're required to kill others to
survive. If this ends up being a boring roundstart murderbone tool, then
I can look at increasing the progression cost back up to 30 minutes, but
it's worth giving it a shot.
To balance out His Grace, you can't purchase any uplink items after
purchasing it, and it can't be purchased if you have already purchased
items.

Sol NandGitHub 7687a28e7c refreshes syndi-kits and syndicate surplus crates, introduces shared limited stock (#71869)
## About The Pull Request

After all, the Syndicate loves a good throwback.

![C6O47fPhAB](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/116288367/207737104-3d24574f-02e0-433d-8ea7-6825ca4cb970.png)

This PR does a few things with the goal of reimplementing and
revitalizing syndicate traitor kits and the syndicate surplus crate.
Of note is that I have added in a way for limited stock items to share
their limited stock.

Following maintainer guidance the syndicate traitor kits have increased
in price and as a result some of the lower value ones have been
adjusted. I've given all active bundles current TC costs per item
knowing full well they will be inaccurate eventually.

<details>
<summary>Changes as a result of my audit of syndikits</summary>

### UNCHANGED
Recon, Spai, Stealthy, Screwed, Sniper, Nukie Meta, Implants
Mad Scientist, Bees

Lord Singuloth is also unchanged and disabled, I think that it should
turn into a new supermatter themed kit maybe. outside of current scope.

### Gun Kit
Replaced emag with doorjack and gave it a chameleon holster, literally
moved 1 tc elsewhere

### Murderer
replaced emag again, no additions its a lot of tc and Just Good

### Hacker
added doorjack, otherwise unchanged

### Sabotage
no changes other than adding in extra bombs it didnt have

### James Bond
gave him some gadgets with the freedom implant, emp flashlight, and one
x4. also a cyanide pill and deck of cards for fun

### Ninja
Added in miner Jump Boots, smoke spell, and doorjack. dont just want it
to be space ninja

### Dark Lord
Added in new lightning bolt spell granter and made the desword default
to red. probably overbudget.

### White Whale
dehydrated carp added so you can ride it alongside the ones you grenade
out. hard to imagine changing this

### Mr Freeze
changed temperature gun to be cryo only so that i could give him the
cryo thermal pistol. cold attacks only.

### 2006 Traitor
doorjack.

</details>

tl;dr theyre all about 30 tc worth of shit more or less some are more
but thats what rarity should be for
you can only buy from one type of syndicrate per round

![QOF1WO7CC6](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/116288367/207739417-00ae6b81-b6aa-4774-a4bb-f2d880988ff4.gif)

Next up is the return of the surplus crate.
Crate is generated, gives you gear **based on your progression at the
time of buying the crate**, you can use it all at the start and get some
chameleon kits and not a lot of dangerous weapons or wait till later.
I've changed the weight on some items here and there and given weight to
role and species locked items, though I will admit that latter is
unimportant because I set moth lanterns to be unable to appear in these
two crates.

![dreamseeker_t8abXysKqK](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/116288367/206761978-96e2a51e-f9a5-48e4-a863-a9198fa15ea2.gif)

But who cares about that your eyes instantly went to the United Surplus
Crate and the United Surplus Key lets be honest.

The united surplus crate is 80 TC worth of uplink items relative to your
current progression when you purchase it and gives you a locked box. It
**will explode if you try to break it** so be careful with it. It gives
you 80 TC and costs 20 TC because it is impossible to open without key.
The rub of course is that the Syndicate forbids agents from buying more
than one surplus item of any kind, you need to find another traitor and
make them buy you a key to open your box. Or I guess you can share the
box?

![dreamseeker_ts0AZeiyfy](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/116288367/207740388-3f688bba-5d71-48d2-8079-671bbed7e54e.gif)

Regardless, if the crate is opened with any other means it doesn't spawn
its contents, you need 2 traitor uplinks.
Both of these items have a 30 minute timer because you don't want a
crate that has 5 emp flashlights in it. You at least want one energy
sword.

I did a lot of code shit and changed various things to be proc based to
allow for more editing and interjection of things, as I wrote in code
comments making a crate thats locked to a specific set of progression
just means changing the proc that generates a list of valid uplink items
to check items' progression values to a specified value instead of your
characters progression.

Ok I think that goes over everything more or less????

## Why It's Good For The Game

I've heard that people liked these and I think they are quite fun, being
able to go from "i dunno what to do as a traitor" to "ah, of course, I
will become the Bombler" is a fun thing to be able to have, and people
like to get a bunch of random shit in the mail. Some of it even feels
free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brain points go up!!!

The division of procs allows for more creativity with this system than
existed before as well as other possibilities for interacting with the
uplink handler in funny ways.

zxaberandGitHub 54cfbcce2e Replaces Traitor Greentext Objectives with Assassination/Escape Objectives (#71349)
## About The Pull Request
- Traitors now have the old two kill + escape objectives from before
progressive traitors. These objectives are for greentext/victory
conditions only, and are known as "Primary Objectives".
- The Progressive Traitor system remains in place for unlocking
dangerous gear.
- Completing the Final Objective from the progressive list is an
alternate route to victory.
- Traitor Uplinks now have a new tab that lists Primary Objectives,
which will also indicate when the Traitor has a secured victory by Final
Objective.
- Also cleaned up the round end report, see below.
## Why It's Good For The Game

See https://hackmd.io/WVjTLp6xTJiTFEkhSqqWIQ?view for my complete
thoughts.

TL;DR:
- Getting Rep is too much of a time commitment for Greentext.
- Most of ProgTraitor is quiet sabotage that no one cares about, leading
to less conflict with the crew.
- Losing the Uplink creates an unwinnable state.

This PR fixes the above, by bringing back the 2 kill + escape system.
Traitors are now required to actually negatively affect at least some
crewmembers, and actually survive the round, to gain a victory state.
Alternatively, if they reach the Final Objective, they are given a free
pass, as an alternate route if they cannot find their Primary Objective
targets. Final Objectives will count as a victory even if the traitor
dies.

The Progressive Traitor system is still used for unlocking gear, and no
values for items, or restrictions based on role, have been changed.

John WillardandGitHub 2425531eb2 Removes tablets (not PDAs) entirely. (#71507)
## About The Pull Request

**Comes with an UpdatePaths!**

Removes the tablet subtype, PDAs now replaces them entirely.

Nukie and Silicon tablets are now subtypes of the PDA instead, while
contractor ones were removed entirely as they didn't do anything and
were unused (though it wouldn't be hard to re-add).

Nukie PDAs are now the only type of PDA that uses modular_tablets.dmi,
which is just larger icons of modular_pda. Each application requires an
icon state in both of these, for 2 different sizes, which makes it
annoying to make new applications, especially if it can also run on
computers/laptops.

### Icons

Because Silicon tablets are now a subtype of PDA, they use PDA icons
instead of tablet ones. Luckily for us, they already exist in code.

![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/53777086/203876575-56eb1593-774c-47c6-8e7d-491a7805f28c.png)

AI's don't use a tablet icon though, so they aren't affected.

## Why It's Good For The Game

There's very little difference between tablets and PDAs, PDAs overshadow
them in every single way, so at this point I don't see why we should
have both of these, and if you compare the two in usefulness and actual
in-game use by players, it's a no-brainer than the item all players get
roundstart and comes with a messenger should be the one we go with.

Also as said in the about section, when making an app you would need to
make icon states for the program running for all hardware it can run on,
which is Computer, Laptop, PDA, and Tablet.

Laptop is just a smaller computer icon
PDA is just a smaller tablet icon

However, you can't simply shrink the size of the icon, instead you have
to completely resprite the same app icon FOUR TIMES for it to not
bluescreen on all these different devices.

<details>

</details>

If we wish to help in simplifying this, we should remove tablet icons
entirely, which means 1 less icon to worry about. To do this, we'd need
to resprite nukie PDAs, however I am very much not a spriter and never
tried GAGS, so I'll leave it to someone else to do.

Current radio uplink is dumb, it has a lot of drawbacks (losing common
radio, fiddling with the tgui slider, having to reset the frequency
after) that its almost unusable. This new uplink has a more unique
trigger method with its own ups and downs
## Changelog

4d6a8bc537 515 Compatibility (#71161)
Makes the code compatible with 515.1594+

Few simple changes and one very painful one.
Let's start with the easy:
* puts call behind `LIBCALL` define, so call_ext is properly used in 515
* Adds `NAMEOF_STATIC(_,X)` macro for nameof in static definitions since
src is now invalid there.
* Fixes tgui and devserver. From 515 onward the tmp3333{procid} cache
directory is not appened to base path in browser controls so we don't
check for it in base js and put the dev server dummy window file in
actual directory not the byond root.
* Renames the few things that had /final/ in typepath to ultimate since
final is a new keyword

And the very painful change:
`.proc/whatever` format is no longer valid, so we're replacing it with
new nameof() function. All this wrapped in three new macros.
`PROC_REF(X)`,`TYPE_PROC_REF(TYPE,X)`,`GLOBAL_PROC_REF(X)`. Global is
not actually necessary but if we get nameof that does not allow globals
it would be nice validation.
This is pretty unwieldy but there's no real alternative.
If you notice anything weird in the commits let me know because majority
was done with regex replace.

@tgstation/commit-access Since the .proc/stuff is pretty big change.

MooshimiandGitHub b09f3868f8 individual LOG_GAME (#68683)
About The Pull Request

replaces a ton of log_game with user.log_message so the log is added to individual and global logs.
adds a few logs for individual LOG_VICTIM, LOG_ATTACK etc logging.
adds logging for bluespace launchpad's tele coords being changed.
took the word "has" out of log_combat, as it's extra and just lengthens the log.

Why It's Good For The Admins

It's extremely laggy to open game.txt so an alternative is individual game logs
Changelog

cl
admin: A lot of game logs will now also be in individual game logs, for convenience in log diving.
admin: Added logging for bluespace launchpad x and y offset changes, which go to individual game logs.
admin: Attack logs will now be slightly shorter, one useless word was removed.

cd1b891d79 Modular Tablets: Converting PDAs to the NtOS System (#65755)
Converts PDA functions and applications over to modular tablets and devices, namely the messaging function. HREF data code is quite honestly clunky and difficult to work with, as I've definitely experienced whilst working on this. By moving from this system over the easier to read (and frankly, easier to add to) TGUI system, you get cleaner looking and more user friendly UIs and a greater degree of standardization amongst other UIs.

John WillardandGitHub b6808270df Fixes species uplinks (#64816)
I was fucking deranged when I originally made this. I not only didn't actually include the assigned species to the uplink's ui data, but I made the code add each objective item to the uplink list twice. This fixes both of those problems, and makes it more readable.

Fixes a mistake I caused.

Watermelon914andGitHub 375a20e49b Refactors most spans into span procs (#59645)
Converts most spans into span procs. Mostly used regex for this and sorted out any compile time errors afterwards so there could be some bugs.
Was initially going to do defines, but ninja said to make it into a proc, and if there's any overhead, they can easily be changed to defines.

Makes it easier to control the formatting and prevents typos when creating spans as it'll runtime if you misspell instead of silently failing.
Reduces the code you need to write when writing spans, as you don't need to close the span as that's automatically handled by the proc.

(Note from Lemon: This should be converted to defines once we update the minimum version to 514. Didn't do it now because byond pain and such)

TemporalOroborosandGitHub 9f598a9662 Makes the explosive compressor and blastcannon actually use the TTVs they're given + the explosion changes to support that. (#58015)
* Adds explosion SFX to the blastcannon and explosive compressor

- Extracts the explosion SFX and screenshake proc from the SSexplosions explosion handling proc and lets the explosive compressor and blastcannon use it.

* Miscellaneous changes

- Adds defines for the internal explosion arglist keys
- Reverses the values of the explosion severity defines
- Changes almost everything that uses `/proc/explosion` to use named arguments

- Removes a whole bunch of argname = 0 in explosion calls.

* Removes named callback arguments.

* Changes the explosion signals to just use the arguments list

Adds a simple framework to let objects respond to explosions occurring inside of them.

Changes a whole bunch of explosions to use the object being exploded as the origin of the explosion rather than the turf the object is on.

Makes the explosive compressor and blastcannon actually use the TTVs they are given.

Adds support for things responding to internal explosions.
Less snowflake code for the explosive compressor and blastcannon calculating bomb range.*
Less confusing explosion severity defines.
Less opaque explosion arguments

*does not guarantee that the solution to letting them actually use the TTV is any less snowflake.
