6cf97ad50e Fixes aiming at the click catcher. (#64147)
My PR to fix pixel aiming broke aiming when you were aiming at obscured turfs.
The click catcher was properly modifying the click target to be the turf under the click location,
but it was passing the `ICON_X` and `ICON_Y` variables on unmodified.
This means that instead of being measured from the bottom left corner of the turf you clicked on they were being measured from
roughly the bottom left corner of your screen.

This makes the click relevant click parsing proc also update the ICON_X and ICON_Y values of the click modifiers.

7bead07444 General pAI code improvements (#63688)
Fikou said they would've made MODsuits be controllable by pAI's rather than AI's, if pAI code wasn't as bad.

But pAI code ISN'T AS BAD AS AI CODE LIKE HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK MAN???

Anyways, this is just general code improvements for pAIs that I thought would be nice to have.

Documents previously undocumented vars
Moves loose vars to be where they should be
Removes single-letter variables
Makes pAI a defined job
Moves vars around to where they should be while removing unused ones.
Makes pAI abilities its own .dm file
Replaces var/silent with Stun() (like cyborgs)
Reworks pAI's doorjack to not have a ton of procs, copy paste, and a reliance on Life(), instead it just uses a do_after()
Moves screwdrivering radios from attackby to screwdriver_act

Just general code improvement for Silicon, the thing no one likes or wants to touch.

a2fa7799f3 Removes swarmers from the game (#63989)
What the title says. But why?
I generally have a rule when making a contribution, that is "don't make the game less fun"
I'm not salting, I didn't die to a swarmer.
... Yet that's the problem. Swarmers are the griefiest antag in the game, but when you complain that they're annoying or unfun, you're doomed to hear "lol they can't even hurt you though."

WELL THAT ACTUALLY MAKES THEM WORSE. I would rather die to a hundred xenos and space dragons than be forced to untie myself in maintenance for 45 seconds while the shuttle leaves.
Why It's Good For The Game

Unfun game modes should be removed from the game.

Being griefed by swarmers is annoying
Playing as a swarmer is not very exciting either. Click on iron.

lastly, because oranges authorized it

b7922744b7 Fix Transparent Floors Multi Z clipping (#63878)
Fixes #63770 (Objects on Lower Z level appearing on top Z level when under glass tiles)

This fixes some MultiZ issues that were discovered after I made #62875 (566b9ee1d8). I never setup a new plane for the transparent turfs and because of this any objects, icons, or sprites that were offset from the boundary of the turf would make any bottom Z level stuff appear on the current Z level.

We want stuff to look normal.

413fd90502 Dullahan Partial Refactor: They Work Again Edition (#63696)
So, a few months ago I was like "hmm there's something weird going on with party pods...", which got me looking into important_recursive_hearers or something like that. I spoke about it in the coding channel and Kyler actually fixed it before I did. But I also caught a similar glitch with Dullahans, so I decided to investigate...

Two months later...

I present to you a partial unfuckening of the Dullahans, in that I made them fully functional once again:

They only hear speech through their head (not sounds, sadly, someone else would have to tell me how to do that because I otherwise really wouldn't know how to do it in a sane way), they speak through their head, runechat-included.
When you spawn a Dullahan, you're set to look through the Dullahan's eyes (so from their head), and that doesn't reset when you log off and back in, or admin-ghost and come back in your body.
When you're looking through your head, your view will no longer be reset to your body upon entering a locker, which is nice to avoid not being blind while looking through your body.
Dullahan heads no longer look completely lifeless and without organs. They have eyes that don't look dead and that even match the player's intended eye color.
Dullahan can now properly examine things from their head, which was intended and 100% not functional.
Dullahan heads now speak with the proper name of their owner, instead of having a random name attached to it at round-start.
Dullahan heads are also now properly named too.
Dullahans can now properly whisper, sing and do all these funny things that they were unable to do before.
Dullahan whispers will now properly respect the range of the whisper.
Dullahans can now succumb in hardcrit by whispering, as intended. This potentially fixes other species that worked similarly not being able to succumb, like abductors, although I didn't test if they normally could, I just know they absolutely will be able to now.
When switching from Dullahans to a different species, your old head will no longer stay behind.
I also added a proc for species to do some code when we get a ckey login in our mob, which could potentially be useful for other stuff in the future, but it was necessary here as the view is reliant on the client, which we want to ensure doesn't get weird view glitches like having their head's vision overlay while actually being centered on their body.

I also made it so say() now takes a range argument, which is 7 by default, just so things that aren't humans can also whisper and do all those kinds of things. Going with that, there's probably a few more things that will be able to be done better thanks to this, although I haven't tested every edge case with this, but I doubt it will make much of a difference in the future.

9c6fdb567d TGUI list conversions + bug fixes (#63354)
About The Pull Request

Converts more inputs to TGUI. Possibly all user-facing input lists in the game.
Did any surrounding text/number inputs as well
Added null choice support so users can press cancel.
Added some misc TGUI input fixes
Fixed custom vendors while I was there

I refactored a lot of code while just poking around.
Primarily, usage of .len in files where I was already working on lists.
Some code was just awful - look at guardian.dm and its non use of early returns
If there are any disputes, I can revert it just fine, those changes are not integral to the PR.
Why It's Good For The Game

Fixes #63629
Fixes #63307
Fixes custom vendors /again/
Text input is more performant.
Part of a long series of TGUI conversion to make the game more visually appealing

d005d76f0b Fixes Massive Radio Overtime, Implements a Spatial Grid System for Faster Searching Over Areas (#61422)
a month or two ago i realized that on master the reason why get_hearers_in_view() overtimes so much (ie one of our highest overtiming procs at highpop) is because when you transmit a radio signal over the common channel, it can take ~20 MILLISECONDS, which isnt good when 1. player verbs and commands usually execute after SendMaps processes for that tick, meaning they can execute AFTER the tick was supposed to start if master is overloaded and theres a lot of maptick 2. each of our server ticks are only 50 ms, so i started on optimizing this.

the main optimization was SSspatial_grid which allows searching through 15x15 spatial_grid_cell datums (one set for each z level) far faster than iterating over movables in view() to look for what you want. now all hearing sensitive movables in the 5x5 areas associated with each spatial_grid_cell datum are stored in the datum (so are client mobs). when you search for one of the stored "types" (hearable or client mob) in a radius around a center, it just needs to

iterate over the cell datums in range
add the content type you want from the datums to a list
subtract contents that arent in range, then contents not in line of sight
    return the list

from benchmarks, this makes short range searches like what is used with radio code (it goes over every radio connected to a radio channel that can hear the signal then calls get_hearers_in_view() to search in the radios canhear_range which is at most 3) about 3-10 times faster depending on workload. the line of sight algorithm scales well with range but not very well if it has to check LOS to > 100 objects, which seems incredibly rare for this workload, the largest range any radio in the game searches through is only 3 tiles

the second optimization is to enforce complex setter vars for radios that removes them from the global radio list if they couldnt actually receive any radio transmissions from a given frequency in the first place.

the third optimization i did was massively reduce the number of hearables on the station by making hologram projectors not hear if dont have an active call/anything that would make them need hearing. so one of hte most common non player hearables that require view iteration to find is crossed out.

also implements a variation of an idea oranges had on how to speed up get_hearers_in_view() now that ive realized that view() cant be replicated by a raycasting algorithm. it distributes pregenerated abstract /mob/oranges_ear instances to all hearables in range such that theres at max one per turf and then iterates through only those mobs to take advantage of type-specific view() optimizations and just adds up the references in each one to create the list of hearing atoms, then puts the oranges_ear mobs back into nullspace. this is about 2x as fast as the get_hearers_in_view() on master

holy FUCK its fast. like really fucking fast. the only costly part of the radio transmission pipeline i dont touch is mob/living/Hear() which takes ~100 microseconds on live but searching through every radio in the world with get_hearers_in_radio_ranges() -> get_hearers_in_view() is much faster, as well as the filtering radios step

the spatial grid searching proc is about 36 microseconds/call at 10 range and 16 microseconds at 3 range in the captains office (relatively many hearables in view), the new get_hearers_in_view() was 4.16 times faster than get_hearers_in_view_old() at 10 range and 4.59 times faster at 3 range

SSspatial_grid could be used for a lot more things other than just radio and say code, i just didnt implement it. for example since the cells are datums you could get all cells in a radius then register for new objects entering them then activate when a player enters your radius. this is something that would require either very expensive view() calls or iterating over every player in the global list and calling get_dist() on them which isnt that expensive but is still worse than it needs to be

on normal get_hearers_in_view cost the new version that uses /mob/oranges_ear instances is about 2x faster than the old version, especially since the number of hearing sensitive movables has been brought down dramatically.

with get_hearers_in_view_oranges_ear() being the benchmark proc that implements this system and get_hearers_in_view() being a slightly optimized version of the version we have on master, get_hearers_in_view_as() being a more optimized version of the one we have on master, and get_hearers_in_LOS() being the raycasting version currently only used for radios because it cant replicate view()'s behavior perfectly.

680ca7d3b9 Field of View and Blindness improvements [bounty + upstream push] (#63312)
About The Pull Request

I have received exemption from the freeze by Oranges.
This PR was originally done for Skyrat-tg, as a bounty. Oranges took interest and Skyrat people approved taking it upstream so I did. (original PR Skyrat-SS13/Skyrat-tg#9912 )
Features:
This PR adds "field of view" mechanics, which by default don't do anything.
Once you pick up and wear a gas mask you'll notice a cone behind you.
That cone will hide all mobs, projectiles and projectile effects.
HOWEVER... hidden things in the cone (or for people who are blind or nearsighted) will play a visual effect.

The fov cone shadow density can be adjusted

Technicalities:
Originally a component, but by Watermelon's advice I have made this a datumized behaviour instead. (semi-component) This way it is faster, less memory use etc. Once again a component
People have native fov, which can be enabled by a config, by default it's off. (or by an admin verb)
People have fov traits, which add the fov impairings to you, gas masks do that now. All clothes have a support for possibly applying them.
Moves all things that should be hidden onto a new plane which is just above GAME_PLANE, that was we can efficiently filter them out of clients views.
Being dead or extending your eye view (xenobio console) will disable the FOV mask.

This PR was brought to you by Skyrat paying me aswell as rotational mathematics

Why It's Good For The Game

Oranges approves so it's good.

7107128fbb pAI TGUI conversion (#62916)
About The Pull Request

Does what it says! pAI interfaces, including pAI card interfaces, have all been reworked.

I spent a bit of time working with pAIs doing this, so I've changed and fixed other things in the process.

Door jacking had little to no UI feedback
Many of the pAI actions had little feedback
Some of the logic was poor or not working (pAI request, for instance)

Why It's Good For The Game

One of the worst UIs in the game is redone
Three interfaces are now two: pAI cards and recruit window -> 1 tgui window, pAI software interface -> tgui
Door jacking gives more feedback, including sounds and messages.
New procs inside general and security records to fetch data
Requesting a pAI now uses the notify_ghosts proc like most other ghost roles

Changelog

cl
refactor: pAI interfaces have been converted to TGUI.
refactor: Requesting a holographic pAI friend now correctly notifies ghosts of your loneliness.
add: pAI door jacks have been given a bit more UI feedback.
del: Requesting and downloading a pAI no longer uses two separate screens.

ec9dde6462 Instant cameras can now be used as circuit shells. (#62810)
A circuit and shell components have been given to instant cameras around the station, so they can now be used for wiremod. There's no new wiremod design here since they can already be printed at any autolathe.
@Watermelon914 also told me a while ago that items should be given the shell component and not the usb port one.
Outside of the sci department and more specifically the protolathe and component printer, there's currently a lack of objects that can be used as circuit shells, which means wiremod is more or less limited to its own printables and the less versatile, higher end usb ports around the station. This is a small step toward a more inclusive wiremod that can use station devices for circuits building.

d9f4153a41 clickon signal procs cleanup (fixes inability to examine things in certain situations). (#62180)
Title. The clickon proc calls params2list only after the component signal was sent notwhitstanding clickon comsig procs also needing to access these parameters in order to work properly, which means every one of these comsig procs has its own params2list(params) call. This problem isn't exlusive to these comsig procs. For some reason the params text string is passed down to the melee click chain, afterattack and afterattack_secondary instead of the params/modifiers list... buuut we'll get there later. TL;DR params2list is being called more times than necessary because of a suboptimal old code.

Another issue: Some of these comsig procs ignore parameters such as shift, which is used to examinate things and access popup menus, alt, ctrl and/or middle mouse button. This is the case of the honorbound mutation datum, shy and shy in room components, mechas and the clown car. This is of course also getting fixed.

a7c69aa341 clickon now includes attack_secondary (#61848)
I... don't know how this was missed. Ranged right clicks only called post secondary attacks, which is hilarious and mysterious. How did NOBODY notice you could only hold someone up in MELEE range?

I also named the vars in the proc to be more readable, and added a few early returns. I didn't touch much about the top part of the proc so it may still look gross.

901bbf7699 Rendering refactor P1: Plane unification and render relaying (pictures and video included) (#61286)
What does the PR do

This reworks how our rendering is handled, specifically moves away from plane masters as the end solution:

Instead we replace plane masters rendering directly to client with planes that render multiple planes onto them as objects in order to be able to affect multiple planes while treating them as a single object. This is done by relaying the plane using a "render relay" onto a "render plate" which acts as a plane master of plane masters of sorts, and since planes are rendered onto it as single objects any filters we apply to them will render over the planes, treating them as a single unit
image

Also cleaned up unused plane masters and render targets to reduce clutter, as well as removing a useless filter that was resulting from confusion due to said clutter.

Clientside performance testing showed no significant change, no effect on serverside performance as this is clientside.

Also added the blackness plane master so it can be relayed, side effect is that it can now be used to adjust how blackness is rendered

P2 should introduce rendering one plane to multiple render_plates, but i want to get this done before I finish that, though testing shows its feasible

Why It's Good For The Game

Allows more advanced effects.
As an example i made a grav anomaly effect in like 30 seconds for this video i will improve it once im awake properly:

Documentation images should be merged here after this pr is done
