- Added killswitches to all Enter() and Entered() procs to try to determine if movement is the source of all the constant lag we're having. Toggle the killswitch with the 'disable all movement' verb, available in debug verbs.

Toggling these preferences in-game will update your savefile. Meaning that your preferences will persist between rounds.
Added some savefile_version updating stuff. It's pretty crude. If you're changing any of the savefile stuff just ask and I can change it/help.
Removed some unused client vars
Ghosts no longer hear ambience. Simplified ambience code.
Simplified lobby music code. It will no longer cause a massive queue of events (which would eventually balloon in memory use)
Moved ooccolor and sound_adminhelp back to prefs. It's easier and allowed me to remove the setupclient() stuff completely.

-Almost every instance of 'for(mob in world)' has been killed. Because GODDAMN was it being run a bunch. Instead, a series of global lists have been made, and they are all handled auto-magically through New()'s, Del()'s, Login()'s, death()'s, etc...
Lists are as follows:
-mob_list : Contains all atom/mobs by ref
-player_list : Like mob_list, but only contains mobs with clients attached
-admin_list : Like player_list, but holds all mobs with clients attached and admin status
-living_mob_list : Contains all mobs that ARE alive, regardless of client status
-dead_mob_list : Contains all mobs that are dead, which comes down to corpses and ghosts
-cable_list : A list containing every obj/structure/cable in existence
Note: There is an object (/obj/item/debuglist) that you can use to check the contents of each of the lists except for cables (Since getting a message saying "a cable," x9001 isn't very helpful)
These lists have been tested as much as I could on my own, and have been mostly implemented. There are still places where they could be used, but for now it's important that the core is working. If this all checks out I would really like to implement it into the MC as well, simply so it doesn't check call Life() on every mob by checking for all the ones in world every damn tick.
Just testing locally I was able to notice improvements with certain aspects, like admin verbs being MUCH more responsive (They checked for every mob in the world every time they were clicked), many sources of needless lag were cut out (Like Adminwho and Who checking every single mob when clicked), and due to the cable_list powernet rebuilding is MUCH more efficient, because instead of checking for every cable in the world every time a powernet was broken (read: A cable was deleted), it runs though the pre-made list, and even with a singulo tearing all the way across the station, the powernet load was VERY small compared to pretty much everything else.
If you want to know how any of this works, check global_lists.dm, there I have it rigorously commented, and it should provide an understanding of what's going on.

Rather than calling a function on every single radio object which expensively collects hearers(in closets etc.), the proc will now instead build a list of radios. This list is then passed to another proc, which iterates through all clients in the world, and checks if the client's mob can hear the message.
Note that I did shallow testing, but deeper issues may still be present with stuff like pAIs which I wasn't able to test on my single player server. If any other problems are found, please notify me.

I'm currently working on moving all of the vars in mob_defines.dm and some procs in mob.dm into more fitting places. For example, ghosts and simple animals can not be cloned, so they do not need a cloneloss var. Cloneloss would be better fitting to /mob/living or even /mob/living/carbon.
By moving these defines into proper children of /mob we lower the amount of resources that must be set aside every time a mob is created and we lower the amount of data that gets transfered between mobs when we combine, transfer or transform them. In theory, this should help free up some resources and combat lag.
Due to how integrated some of these defines are in the rest of the code, I'm going to be committing this cleanup in small batches. Doing it this way instead of one massive commit means that bugs will be easier to locate and identify. It is also less likely to overwhelm players with bugs, and if it still does, it will make it easier for us to revert only the section that is causing problems. Smaller commits also means merging with existing code will be less of a nightmare and has less potential for merging mistakes.
One of my goals in this cleanup is to add a description to every single variable in mob defines. While some of them are self explanatory, there are some there that are used in horribly obscure ways on top of having no comment to describe their use.
-----------------------
Mob defines moved to living:
- last_special*
- bruteloss
- oxyloss
- toxloss
- fireloss
- cloneloss
- brainloss
- halloss
- hallucination
- hallucinations(list)
*Note: I believe this variable is not needed, but the code it is used in (the resist verb) is cluttered and messy. That chunk of code probably use a re-write. I'll put it on my TODO list and if I survive mob_defines I'll try to get around to it but if anyone wants to do it for me, that would certainly help!
-----------------------
Mob procs moved to living:
- getBruteLoss()
- adjustBruteLoss()
- getOxyLoss()
- adjustOxyLoss()
- setOxyLoss()
- getToxLoss()
- adjustToxLoss()
- setToxLoss()
- getFireLoss()
- adjustFireLoss()
- getCloneLoss()
- adjustCloneLoss()
- setCloneLoss()
- getHalLoss()
- adjustHalLoss()
- setHalLoss()
- getBrainLoss()
- adjustBrainLoss()
- setBrainLoss
Mob procs moved to carbon:
getDNA()
setDNA()
-----------------------
Mob verbs moved to carbon:
- Sleep
- Lay down / Get up
-----------------------
The : operator...
The thing that has been killing me through this whole cleanup is people using or copy/pasting the : operator everywhere.
*** Please use obj.var_or_procname. Do not use obj:var_or_procname ***
Using obj:procname will not throw a compiler error if obj does not have that specific var or proc. This means that the coder making changes will NOT be informed of an error which will result in a proc failing, potentially being completely unusable and definatly causing a runtime error.
With that said, I fully anticipate that most bugs (if any) caused by this mob define cleanup to be the result of : operators.
I've been replacing many : operators in favour of the . operator as I've been going, most noteably I went out of my way to remove almost every : operator from the 4000+ line Chemistry-Regents.dm
Exceptions:
- Water: Turf and Atmos related vars. I'm not familiar with the members and methods in those class' hierarchy.
- Silicate: because it's commented out and I honestly dont see it returning.
- Thermite: Turf and Atmos related vars.
- Corn Oil: Turf and Atmos related vars.
Final note: While this may be the source of some mob-related bugs, there are two other revisions that have been committed between now and the last time either of the the two tgstation servers have been updated. These revisions both touch mob-related files. I'm not blaming these other revisions for anything, especially since one of them is mine anyway, I'm just listing them here for refrence to help quickly identify any problems.
- My human/life() changes in r3925
- Carn's life() standardizations in r3933
Stuff unrelated to mob defines:
- Fixed borgs and such being able to go into DNA modifiers.
- Changelog updated and I added Sieve to the list of coders.

Temp-fix for mob/say.dm It's being sent null from Tcomms, so I'll leave it to somebody with experience with that.
Fix for items bein in your inventory and on the floor
Fix to stop people pulling themselves and causing runtimes (lol)
Fixes a bunch of stuff in the flash code. EMPs will now cause flashes to flash their holder. They don't runtime when flashing cadavers. They don't runtime when being EMPed. They will (hopefully) rev those select few buggy people who weren't getting reved previously. (I can't fix that totally without playing with a bunch of mind stuff)
Fix for throwing nothing. :P
Fix for removing tanks that don't exist from transfer valves.
ummm...I think that's it

This variable is set ONLY when you spawn. It is also only used for deadchat communication. This variable is not to be changed after mob creation.
the new deadchat format is:
http://www.kamletos.si/deadchat222.png
line before suicide = spoke alive just before I suicided (name = unknown; real_name = "Duncan Sagan"; original_name = "Duncan Sagan")
the 2nd to last line is me speaking from the human body (name = "Unknown"; real_name = "Duncan Sagan"; original_name = "Duncan Sagan")
the last line is me speaking after ghosting (name = "Duncan Sagan"; real_name = "Unknown"; original_name = "Duncan Sagan")
So when alive everything is as before,
When you speak as a dead human you get
DEAD: Original_name says, "message"
When you speak as a ghost you get
DEAD: Original_name (as real_name) says, "message"
(the as real_name is skipped if the two are the same)
If there is some overlooked situation where new mobs are created and original names don't copy over, then real_name is used in all forms of deadcast communication.

As the attempted list dead people's names as their real_name did not work, dead people's names are back to the old style.

Instead of what was once
DEAD: ghost Unknown says: "FU"
it is now
DEAD: Real Name says: "FU"
Should make talking easier in changeling rounds where there are lots of unknowns.

- Two new admin verbs. "toggle hear radio" and "toggle hear deadcast". These don't care if you're a ghost or what you had for breakfast, they work because they're tied to your client, not your mob. To non-admins it might seem silly that this is needed but when dealing with multiple adminhelps you don't want text to move at lightning speed, so anything that you can disable is good.

Assigned categories to assorted verbs that lacked them. Commands tab is now more or less gone. Instead, things are in "IC" for things like say, whisper, me, that are inherent to you, "OOC" for things like OOC chat, and "Objects" for verbs originating from the world around you. I suppose for those non-admins in the audience, you now also get an "Admin" tab, because I stuffed adminhelp and adminwho in there.
This change was only to verbs defined as verbs in the code, procs that are assigned to things as verbs are far more numerous and harder to isolate, but also mostly admin-related.

Admin Crew Manifest can read assignments from PDA.
Some other id-in-pda related glitches fixed.
APC frame can we unwrenched in hand.
Medical computer now have DNA records.

If you look at your PDA window, there should be an option to stick an ID in, like with some computers.
While carrying an ID, a PDA can be used for almost everything an ID can.
While ID scanners can read cards through a PDA, it is difficult to shove a PDA into the ID slot on some computers.
It is possible I missed some functions, but I was quite thorough in my sweep through the code.
In the event of PDA destruction, any inserted ID is ejected unharmed.
It is now possible to stick PDAs in your jumpsuit's ID slot.
Since PDAs are named, you can disguise yourself as someone else using one.
Beepsky/ED-209 can see through a PDA disguise if you stick your real ID in for access.

Made sure every verb now has a name which starts with a capital letter and makes sense, because OCD.
Changed the categories of verbs a lot, now they are in much more sensible tabs.
Added a couple of admin verbs:
- Right click monkeyize
- Call Shuttle
- Recall Shuttle
Removed some goon verbs.
Gave "Coder" admin group a little more admin verbs:
- Monkeyize, Cultistize, Abominationize, Call Shuttle, Recall Shuttle, Make Sound
Added mobs a "say_message" variable. Now admin-created mobs can "scree", "squeak" etc. instead of just "chimper" or "hiss".
