pant.
How I forgot how pants should look like: the PR.
From the changelog:
> - imageadd: "Resprited all jeans, black pants and colorable dress
pants."
> - rscdel: "Removed tan, khaki, red, white pants due to the existance
of colorable dress pants. All maps and outfits where these were used now
use black pants (I did not want to put in the effort)."
Images, as always, in the details below.
Old (current) sprites on the top, new on the bottom unless stated
otherwise.

Do yell at me if these don't look like jeans. Also imagine these but
shorter, now you have jean shorts, which were also resprited.
# Summary
This PR adds the alt title "Foreign Service Officer" to the consular
role. The alt title can only be selected if the citizenship is set to
"Sol Alliance".
PR is a commission for the_ill_fated and has been pre-approved by human
lore.
## Changes
- Added logic to allow alt titles to be locked to citizenship. It
follows the same logic as faction locking.
- Added "Foreign Service Officer" to the consular role, locked to "Sol
Alliance" citizenship.

Very ancient, decrepit proc that is somehow still used. Got rid of it in
favor of byond's proc, which has been around long enough there isn't a
version I can cite for it.
No user facing changes.
- Leather gloves, black gloves and workboots now have unique names for
taj and unathi variants
- Updated the description of the leather and black gloves
The above was done so they can be recognized on sight, particularly in
the wardrobe machines where they otherwise looked identical.
- Renamed the black gloves to work gloves
This is effectively what they are. They have unique stats compared to
other colored gloves and as such, they should stand out a bit more aside
from just their description.
- Added taj and uanthi variants of the work gloves, leather gloves and
workboots to the wardrobe machines
The drobes had the human versions already, so this permits taj and
unathi to get their versions too.
- Made hangar techs spawn with work gloves and workboots
They already had access to these in the drobes, and it make sense for
their warehouse work that they got proper gear when spawning. The
workboots replace the sneakers they used to spawn.
This has zero reason to exist in our code base. We have no procs or
variables tied to this. I removed it to make future modifications
cleaner.

## Description
Hello! First PR here so I figured I'd do a big one ~~and stress out the
maintainers as quickly as possible~~. :)
While going through the process of creating a character the 'faction
select' UI stuck out to me as *functional*, but difficult to parse
visually and pretty dated looking by modern SS13 standards. (Not too
bad, but you know what I mean)
The new version is realistically *bit* too flashy for what it is (a
single-use interface hidden away in the character creation menu), but it
was very good practise for me to get back into DM/TGUI programming so it
works out either way.
I'm very happy to implement any feedback or suggested changes that could
help improve it.
## Actual Description
This PR replaces the old HTML 'faction select' interface with a new TGUI
one, and also cleans up and fixes some adjacent code I bumped into while
working on it.
A couple of notes about the current version:
* The 'Citizenship Check' line is currently non-functional and will
always show a checkmark. I know a lot of the corporations have specific
backgrounds/origins they won't hire people from, but I wasn't sure where
exactly that's enforced in code, if at all.
(I noticed `/datum/faction` has a `blacklisted_citizenship_types`
variable, but it's currently unused.)
* De-adminning or changing species doesn't immediately update the UI to
reflect the changes, you have to click on something new to trigger an
update manually. This doesn't have any actual consequences since I made
sure to sanitise everything, but it is a visual thing.

## Changelog
- rscadd: "Revamped the 'Faction Select' UI in the occupation menu of
character setup."
- bugfix: "Fixed changing species in character setup not resetting your
faction if it became invalid."
- Not player-facing:
- Fixed the TGUI dev server not working by bumping up the 'source-map'
version. You still have to manually refresh the interface with Ctrl+R or
Ctrl+F5 but it actually links now.
- Added a `wiki_page` variable to each faction to allow for it to be
manually set rather than being exclusively based on the name. (Mostly
just futureproofing)
- Added some line breaks to the faction descriptions to make them more
easily readable.

Currently, all "outsider" jobs (that is, journalist, consular, liason,
aides and bodyguards) if set to a clip on radio would spawn with the
default one (no command access, or no service in the case of the
journalist)
This adds a clip on for the consular, liason, aides and bodyguards and
makes sure the journalist gets their service clip on.

This restriction made sense when bridge crew were essentially command's
assistants. However, their job has morphed into being dedicated pilots
for odysseys, as well as expected to defend the bridge and/or shuttles.
This restriction therefore no longer makes sense as M'sai were
historically tasked as pilots, and are able to be part of security.
This also fixes a bug where unathi and tajara bridge crew spawn with
human shoes.

A pull request commissioned by the Synthetic Lore Team to
comprehensively rework synthetics (read: IPCs) and how they work in
Aurora. The objective is to make IPCs as unique as possible from humans,
upgrading the robotic feel and atmosphere, while also preserving a good
sense of balance in-game.
Key features:
- A comprehensive expansion of synthetic organs, all of which now
fulfill a purpose: hydraulics, cooling units, power systems, actuators,
diagnostics units.
- Customizable organs with benefits and drawbacks, such as with cooling
units and power systems.
- Unique ways to repair the organs and more involved steps.
- Unique damage mechanics - every organ has wiring and electronics which
affect its functioning, and they are defended by plating which provides
natural armour.
- Improved and immersive diagnostics.
- Unique features, benefits, and drawbacks for every IPC frame.
- A rework of the positronic brain, which can be either destroyed or
shut down, alongside effects caused by low integrity.
- A rework of how EMPs affect IPC organs.
- Non-binary damage states for each organ.
To-do:
- [x] Finish the unique features for each frame.
- [x] Look into if mechanical synthskin is possible.
- [x] Power system.
- [x] Posibrain mechanics.
- [ ] Passive cooling expansion.
- [x] EMP mechanics.
- [x] Repair mechanics.
- [x] Mob weight mechanics.
- [ ] Gurney for heavy mobs.
- [x] New augments.
- [ ] IPC tag scanning and flashing.

The hide uniform, suit and hat buttons now work in character setup. I
changed it slightly so it will work regardless of it being a loadout or
job item in the specific slot, mainly because that was easier but also
because sometimes you want to change the uniform but the suit is in the
way.
**Overview:**
The first huge fuckoff mapping PR for giving the Horizon enough extra
space to be able to comfortably map on it for the duration before NBT2
and not be super cramped (extends aft by 6 turfs).
Includes a SECOND vault to heist at the back of the ship and a lot of
maint area people can repurpose. Notably, this also removes the Xenobio
Hazardous Containment room and the Medical Emergency Storage room
(contents of the latter have been moved). Otherwise, y'all got more
ship.

Will say this here on the top, this PR removes all letterman labcoats,
it also does these things:
> - imageadd: "Standardised the sprite of most if not all
standard/corporate labcoats."
> - imageadd: "Colorable labcoats now use the new, standard colorable
palette."
> - imageadd: "Uplifted the sprite of long labcoats."
> - rscdel: "Removed all letterman labcoats and the science labcoat."
Now, to explain each change
> - imageadd: "Standardised the sprite of most if not all
standard/corporate labcoats."
Basically, if the corporation did not have a specified white color on
their wiki page, then their labcoat uses the colorable white palette.
> - imageadd: "Colorable labcoats now use the new, standard colorable
palette."
> - imageadd: "Uplifted the sprite of long labcoats."
Hopefully self-explanatory
> - rscdel: "Removed all letterman labcoats and the science labcoat."
Quite honestly? File bloat, and they did not look all that great, these
are my arguments for their removal. That's about it.
Nothing player-facing in this one, for now. This adds the ability for
factions to be unavailable for certain citizenships.
It has been implemented as a blacklist due to the variety of
citizenships in the game. An example would be if the DPRA was added to
the list for Idris, then anybody with a DPRA citizenship would be unable
to select Idris as their faction.
This was done for the taj lore team.

Readds ID resprites from #19522 that were removed in #20535.
Fixes ID cards improperly rotating in storage. The workaround is clunky
but functional. This is applied to all vertical IDs.
Fixes firing pins not turning vertical in storage.
These fixes were PR'd with the IDs due to the IDs requiring the fixes.
The IDs can be dropped for just the fixes if desired.

Fixes https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/issues/21104
Grants Xenobotany/Xenobiology radios with hailing freqs like Xenoarch on
spawn, provide appropriate access to similar shortwaves.
Not going to be giving them all the cool stuff Xenoarch gets for solo
exploration like machetes and shit, they still ought to bring escorts or
else tag along with the xenoarch.
Xenoarch still stuff xenobots/bios in lockers.

as the title says.
in my long contemplation of adding this, people have offered arguments
that an offworlder hos would be unable to fit the requirements for a
security job. i disagree here because not only do they have a lower
brute modifier than M'sai Tajara (who are the only tajara species
allowed to be HOS), but the negatives which would prevent them from
fitting any requirements can easily be made up with the various items
available to offworlders which pretty much alleviate any concerns here.
additionally, given off-worlders are currently allowed to be other
physically strenuous jobs which require even more exertion than HOS
would, such as paramedic, atmos tech, miner, or even security officers
(while i understand some think the final job is also undesirable, as far
as i am aware it has created no issues in the past), there seems to be a
massive inconsistency in the standards applied on offworlders.
so, i think that allowing offworlders to be HOS on the ship does make
sense, as they are adapted for work in space, and allows for a few cool
potential character concepts, with any drawbacks being pretty
inconsequential.
Permission given by Matt. Have fun y'all.
Did a little extra code refactoring in here while fixing things up to be
a bit more consistent. Xenoarchs also had access to the pilot room for
sensor readings etc, so gave the same to xenobots/xenobios.
However, while in here I got annoyed by the fact that while
ACCESS_INTREPID exists, the other shuttles all rely on per-job manual
overrides to their mapped objects to handle access control. Therefore, I
added ACCESS_SPARK, ACCESS_QUARK, and ACCESS_CANARY, and updated all the
associated jobs/objects to use them instead of a mishmash of bespoke
edits.
_(I would have preferred to use naming conventions like
ACCESS_SHUTTLE_EXPEDITION, ACCESS_SHUTTLE_MINING,
ACCESS_SHUTTLE_SCIENCE, ACCESS_SHUTTLE_INTERCEPTOR, but I was good and
used the in-game names in the code, as was existing convention.)_
- Reworked prices, wages and balances of (almost) everything ingame.
- Added coinage and decimal support to cash, ruthlessly sanitized to
avoid floating-point errors. Reflected in cash-related things like ATMs.
- Tweaked how cash bundles are made and distributed to support
decimalization.
- Adjusted the starting money individuals and departments receive in
their accounts.
- Adjusted the funding Tajara, Unathi, Diona, Vaurca, and IPCs receive
in their accounts. Should earn more on average than they used to.
Credit values are now roughly 1/10th what they were before, across the
board.
Coins were added too! These have names:
- Unie: 0.01 credits
- Quin: 0.05 credits
- Dece: 0.10 credits
- Quarter: 0.25 credits
These can be seen cameo'd in the screenshots below.
Values, wages, etc, are based on the wiki page
https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Guide_to_Wages_and_Pay .
Values are not anchored to any singular real-world currency.
Example price differences:
| Example Item | Old Price | New Price |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Comet Cola | 15.00 | 1.50 |
| Cup Ramen | 20.00 | 2.00 |
| Jyalara | 38.00 | 3.00 |
| Trans-Stellar Cigarettes | 76.00 | 9.00 |
| Zo'ra Soda | 29.00 | 2.50 |
| Gumball | 5.00 | 0.25 |
| 50x plasteel sheets | 700.00 | 120.00 |
| 5x meat (cargo) | 160.00 | 55.00 |
| 50x phoron crystals (cargo) | 2200.00 | 400.00 |
Wages and account balances have also been tweaked:
| Type | Old Amount | New Amount |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Ship Account | 75,000.00 | 35,000.00 |
| Departmental Accounts | 10,000.00 | 15,000.00 |
| Personal Account (avg) | 200.00 - 20,000.00 | 20.00 - 2,000.00 |
Might break the economy; prices will likely need some adjusting
depending on gameplay constraints. Can be adjusted in TMs.
A little testing never hurt anyone.

See changelog for the full list, several little QoL things coming off
https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/20890.
The most notable mechanical change is that, if outside of their light of
heat tolerances (or otherwise afoul whatsoever of the handle_environment
proc), plants will stop growing. This is to avoid the awkward
interaction of a plant being grown at completely improper temperatures
or light levels still managing to mature before it dies.
Makes hydroponicists spawn with full belts at roundstart. Engineers do
and machinists do, it just cuts down on a little roundstart begrudgery.
Includes light and heat preferences on seed packets!
<img width="633" height="118" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/4ac4b728-072a-4510-bb52-c9e5ed76c6a5"
/>
Coming up next will be extended descriptions explaining the mechanics
somewhere visible to players, once
https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/20923 is in.
- rscadd: "Adds Lavatory vendors to the public bathrooms, that dispense
hygiene goods."
- refactor: "Migrates bartender's supply of 6 pack beers and Sencha teas
to the cargo database."
- refactor: "Migrates impact wrenches to the cargo database."
- balance: "Removes the extraneous dylovene, kelotane, bicaridine and
coagzulug in medical. Migrates medication to the medication closet."
- balance: "Removes the unused Nanomed Minis in medical. Replaces the
surgery side Nanomed Plus with a Nanomed Mini."
- balance: "Removes the two large medical kits from medical storage, and
the kit in the exam room. Moves the wheelchairs from the morgue lift to
medical storage."
- rscadd: "Adds cranberries to the game. Now you can actually make
cranberry juice!"
- refactor: "Juices found in soda machines, booze dispensers and the
booze-o-mat have been migrated to the cargo database."
- rscadd: "Cream and fatshouters milk cartons can be ordered from
cargo."
- balance: "Certain juices are now cartons when separated in a
CondiMaster."
- balance: "Removed coffee, milk and sugar from soda machines, as they
are made redundant by CoffeeMasters."
- balance: "Non-CoffeeMaster coffee machines now just dispense coffee
instead of espresso."
TL;DR
- Juices aren't free anymore - get them from supply, the botanist, or
alternative means.
- Soda machines don't dispense coffee, milk and sugar anymore. Since we
have coffee machines already.
- Migrates the stuff in the bar that just got shoved in through mapping
that shouldve been a cargo order in the first place.
- Adds lavatory vendors, which helps to replace manually mapped in
toiletries.
- Removes the extra medical supplies from medical that end up basically
unused for most rounds.
- Adds more things that can be ordered from supply.
- Un-powercreeps the impact wrench. It's made screwdrivers and wrenches
obsolete. Imagine if all of Medical's hyposprays were the CMO hypospray.
That's how it basically is right now.
It's going to be mildly inconvenient, sure. But I have full faith that
people will get used to it in a month. I feel kind of vindicated after
the suit sensors removal PR that the mass-complaints have ceased to be
an issue, and I feel it's going to be the same case here.
Anyway, yes, it's rather silly that the Big Ass Flagship doesn't
immediately have the latest and greatest stuff, but this is thinking
towards long term towards NBT2, where we'll definitely be running a lot
more slim.
**Also, please. Don't brigade this pull request. Just ping me in the
general Discord if you have anything to bring up. I'll try respond to
you if I'm available.**
Unblacklists Sol Alliance citizenship from the consular selection.

A thanks to the Human Lore team for their Pharsalia arc :)
Per request of synthlore - you can no longer select the android job

neither can you manufacture one.
Cyborgs broadly are not removed and are completely playable, but they
must contain either an MMI or a robot circuit. Positronics can still be
installed into an AI core.
I had to unironically bust out my pen and paper for this bullshit and
magnifying tool to actually check if things were pixel perfect.
- bugfix: "Fixes storage box alignment and storage space UI to use
better maths."
- qol: "Tweaks IDs, IDs and firing pins now rotate 90 degrees when in
storage for easier clickability."
- bugfix: "Fixes Item Tooltip toggle message."
- bugfix: "Fixes roundstart items in storage not showing item outlines."

Changes:
Medical Orderly, Technical Assistant and Wait Staff now have Medical,
Engineering and Service radios.
Medical Orderly gets Medical Equipment and Morgue access.
Why?
If they're meant to be helping roles, they need to be able to be reached
by their superiors on the frequency. Having to ask for a radio every
round is repetitive and makes no sense at all.
Orderly got morgue added for obvious reasons, and medical equipment has
been added so that they can can access the medical cubicle + exam rooms.
Turned a ton of unmanaged globals into managed globals.
Refactored some UT output.
Removed some unused things, including vars.
Added a test to ensure people don't keep adding new unmanaged vars.
FORUM THREAD:
https://forums.aurorastation.org/topic/20580-assistant-overhaul/#comment-179129
This one will probably need a wiki change or two.
The Assistant Overhaul! A.K.A "FlamingLily commits to coding something
and forgets for six months"
Also, the "Lab Assistant" (Science's learner role) has been renamed to
"Research Intern" with alt-titles to match, in the same vein as the
medical intern. This serves the dual role of clarifying the role's
nature as a departmental learner, AND makes space for the assistant alt
title.
This PR adds four new titles to the Assistant role, complete with access
and loadouts to match.
* Wait Staff: This one's pretty self explanatory. They haul food and
drinks FROM the kitchen and bar TO customers. They do not cook, and do
not get kitchen or bar access.
* Technical Assistant: This one's job is to haul crates and parts for
engineers. They get access to engineering's lobby and main hallways (as
far as a Janitor can get), but otherwise get nothing. They CANNOT start
the engines, shields, atmosphere, or anything. They spawn with a
high-vis vest and a debugger, for token vending-machine fixing efforts.
* Lab Assistant: This one's job is to haul crates and equipment for
scientists. They get access to ACCESS_RESEARCH which is like, two doors
in the research meeting room and not even the hallway outside I think
(idk). They also get a labcoat and safety goggles. For safety.
* Medical Orderly: This one's job is to haul equipment and corpses,
clean up a messy GTR, and stay out of medical's way when an alert is
called. Maybe they can man the reception as well. They spawn with a
labcoat and sterilizine (not even cleaner, because it's funnier that
way.)
I want to insist that these are assistant alt titles, and not roles with
responsibilities. They cannot do repairs, they cannot do science, they
cannot do surgery, and they CERTAINLY can't cook.
Changelog:
- rscadd: "Added four new assistant alt titles: Wait Staff, Technical
Assistant, Lab Assistant, and Medical Orderly (These are still
ASSISTANTS, and cannot perform the relevant departmental skills. These
are also different from learner roles, such as the Interns.)"
- rscadd: "Renamed the existing "Lab Assistant" (The learner role) to
"Research Intern" to better represent the intent for the role and to
make space for the alt title."

Assistants can take faction coloured items from the loadout, so I don't
see why they shouldn't be able to have faction coloured backpacks as
well.

To-do:
- [x] Finish storyteller verbs.
- [x] Storyteller landmarks.
- [x] Proper storyteller spawning. Right now the gamemode system is
happy with just picking one storyteller and no actors.
- [x] Antagonist whitelists code.
- [x] Adding the Storyteller whitelist.
- [x] Mission map loading code.
- [x] Map in a bunch of missions.
- [ ] Storyteller adminhelps.

This updates the armory roles to account for the removal of the crew
armory in #19728. In particular, these roles no longer have the role:
- Chief Engineer
- Chief Medical Officer
- Research Director
The rest of the roles on the list can access the security armory, or can
at least provide the access to the armory via an ID change.
The Operations Manager remains on the list. While they do not have
direct access to the armory, their department is allowed to distribute
guns, and this is an intended function of their role as stated in
#19728.

- Fixed the Corporate Aide slot not being opened.
- Fixed the Open Aide Slot verb not being removed upon use.

It is now fairly simple to add your own aide to any job. The code has
been made more modular, cleaner, and overall easier to work with.
Added a corporate aide role for representatives. Live out your
privileged wage slave dream.

### Description of the bug
The game is configured to allow three Atmos techs to spawn at
roundstart, there are also three spawn markers in the engineering
breakroom, but at round start only two out of three readied ATs spawn,
one gets thrown back into the lobby.
### Changes implemented
In the job code configuration of the Atmospheric technician the number
of spawn_positions was raised from two to the expected three.
### Testing
I am not aware on how the change can be tested locally. If it is
testable somehow, let me know.
_Edit: ~~lobby~~ breakroom_
This resolves every issue I could eyeball with Vaurca Attendants.
Added to every ghostrole where they're appropriate, mostly wherever
warriors are. Included as non-combatants in the TCAF ghostspawn.
Added to every list for species-specific loadout items and augments, so
they should be able to select them now.
Added to every job blacklist warriors were already on, most notably so
you can't join as a consular officer or corporate representative.
Accounts for attendants with a lot of admin outfits and ERT spawns.
Resolves https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/issues/19974

Basically, Attendants are now a subspecies of Warriors instead of a
subspecies of Workers, meaning they carry most of the traits over from
Warriors aside from the ones that have been modified by me. They also
have a unique appearance that should still work with Vaurca clothing,
instead of needing adjustments a la Bulwark. Hopefully, an acceptable
alternative to the Attendant subspecies that was previously offered in
#17550.

Per request of synthetic lore, this allows Zeng-Hu frames to be played
in every role in security.
I'll toss this over to Noble in the lore discord for a look-over.
Resolves a couple of the odd quirks on the Horizon that have piled up,
including:
1. Aligning the cafe stools in the direction of the counter.
2. Fixing a misaligned APC in engineering maintenance.
3. Pixel shifting the bar glasses vendor so it doesn't overlap with the
coffee machine.
4. Giving missing custodial access to a few maintenance hatches. Access
on maintenance airlocks seems very inconsistent so I'm sure this isn't
comprehensive, but janitors can now access bar maintenance, the areas of
maintenance behind the main lift on deck two and three, and the area of
maintenance between the garden and security maintenance. Custodial
access appears separate from generic maintenance access, so I think it's
just been forgotten in some recent remaps.
