## About The Pull Request

Heretic has received a complete overhaul. This PR touches nearly every
aspect of the antagonist. For readability's sake, not every change is
going to be listed in this pull request.

For the full list of changes please refer to the design doc:
https://hackmd.io/@BiST8PJVRjiwVPY86U3bLQ/B11HyChz1g.

Code by Me, @Xander3359 and @Arturlang

TGUI by @Arturlang

Sprites by OrcaCora and GregorDM

Writing bits by @necromanceranne

### Core changes

- Cross-pathing has been removed. Main knowledge spells are now
exclusive to their path (for the most part).

- For every main knowledge unlocked (save for the robes and the blade
upgrade), Heretics can choose one option from a draft of 3 random side
knowledges (this is a free point).

- Heretics can now purchase side knowledges from a new tab, the
"Knowledge Shop". Side-knowledges have been divided by tier (Stealth,
Defense, Summons, Combat and Main). Tiers are unlocked as you progress
toward your main path.

- Heretics now gain the grasp and mark upgrade immediately, but their
main knowledge choices cost twice as much (except for the first spell,
the robes and the blade upgrade).

- Path specific robes have been introduced! They come with their own set
of quirks.

- Each Path has received a passive ability. This passive is upgraded
when you first create your robes, and again when you complete the Ritual
of Knowledge.

- Paths have been rebalanced as a result of the removal of cross-path
progression. Cosmic and Moon paths have received soft reworks.

- Upon unlocking the path 2nd level or reaching a total of 8 points
worth of knowledge, Heretics will lose the ability to blade break (and
the limit on blades all together).

- Ascension now automatically calls the shuttle with no possibility of a
recall.

- Late join Heretic has been removed.

### New UI

### Quality of life //General balance changes

- Heretics will now gain X-ray vision for a few seconds when nearby an
eldritch essence (this effect has a cooldown).

- Ritual of knowledge now requires 1 uncommon item instead of 2. You may
now use a stunprod instead of a baton to complete the ritual. Beartraps
have been removed from the list of possible reagents.

- The maximum number of possible sacrifices required to ascend has been
reduced from 6 to 5 while the minimum has been upped to 4.

- Codex Cicatrix no longer requires a special pen to be made.

### Passive abilities

- Heretics now start with a passive ability. You can find what it does
on the path info tab after a path has been selected, and what they gain
when upgraded.

- Crafting your first set of Eldritch robes will bump your passive to
level 2.

- Unlocking the 2nd level will subsequently unlock your "Ritual Of
Knowledge"

- Completing the ritual of knowledge or ascending will net you the final
level.

### Path Specific Robes

- Armorer's Ritual is no longer a side knowledge. Each path will have
their own unique version of the ritual. This is placed after the 2nd
spell in the tree.

- Robes can no longer be destroyed by fire and acid, grant t4 flash
protection (Moth Heretics stay winning) and protection against basic
syringes, to bring them on par with other antagonist's armor sets.

- The recipe to craft the robes is now a set of armor/vest, a mask (any
mask will do now, not just gas masks), plus the unique reagent required
for the blades (Plasma for Cosmic, Trash For Rust, match for Ash and so
on)

- Wearing the robes as a non-heretic may yield some unfortunate
side-effects.

### Moon Path Rework

Moon path rework.

Moon Heretics gain immunity to brain traumas and slowly regenerate brain
health. Equipping the moon amulette channels its effects through the
moon blade; making it unblockable and cause sanity damage instead of
brute. Ring leader's Rise now summons an army of harmless clones that
explode when attacked; the explosion briefly stuns non-heretics and
cause sanity and brain damage to them. Moon blade can also now be used
when pacified and Moon spells are no longer blocked by regular anti
magic, only mind magic protection.

**Cosmic Path Rework**

Cosmic path has received the biggest batch of changes alongside Moon.
The path has been dead last in ascension and pickrate (less than 5%) for
almost 2 years. It did gain some popularity over the last few months,
reaching the highest ascension rate in the game (12%) while mantaining a
relatively low pickrate.

Cosmic sits in a weird spot, where pretty much every knowledge
surrounding the path is either mediocre or, in the case of the
ascension, dysfunctional. Yet it has maintained a smidge of relevancy
due to how quickly Cosmic heretics can capture and sacrifice targets
thanks to Star Touch.

As a result, the best course of action would be to rebalance the
entirety of the kit; granting the heretic more tools to manipulate space
and dictate the flow of a fight, while lessening their ability to end a
confrontation by instantly sleeping their opponents.

lastly The Star Gazer is now ghost controlled ; And they shoot lazers!

## Why It's Good For The Game

### Ok...but why do we want this?

Again, if you want my full reasoning, please check my doc
https://hackmd.io/@BiST8PJVRjiwVPY86U3bLQ/B11HyChz1g.

To keep it short and concise; Heretic is too complex and unintuitive for
its own good. Too impenetrable for new players and too abusable for
experienced players. This can be chalked up to a lot of poor design
decisions. But ultimately, what I believe being the biggest contributor
to the current status of Heretic is the ability to move into different
paths, also known as "Cross-Pathing".

### Cross Pathing my beloathed.

Cross-pathing, while cool in theory, overcomplicates the antagonist and
overloads them with power. Players dealing with the heretic are
incapable of working out what a given heretic can do. This also leads to
late game heretics having 3 rows Worth of action buttons and virtually
no weakness.

Over the last year, I've often received the understandable but also kind
of unfair accusations of making Heretic too powerful without a clear aim
or purpose.

My goal with the paths I've reworked over the last year (Rust,Void and
Blade) wasn't necessarily to just make them stronger (although that was
also part of the goal, as they were paths that were underperforming),
but for them to have more interactions with the sandbox and to better
live up to the fantasy presented to the player.

If an harbringer of frost gets countered by a cup of coffee, we probably
messed something up.

Unfortunately, the current incarnation of Heretic doesn't really allow
for surgical balance changes to specific paths. Every time a knowledge
gets buffed, we make every path that can easily tap onto that knowledge
stronger by default. It doesn't take a genius to understand why this
system is ultimately unsustainable.

### Blade Breaking

I feel that after a heretic has reached the near peak of their power,
they no longer need the ability to instantly escape any encounter. Check
my doc for my full reasoning.

## Less versatile, more specialized paths.

By removing cross-pathing, we remove a huge maintainability burden from
the antagonist. Paths can now be designed around clearer strengths and
weaknesses. They become easier to balance and less of an headache to
understand for everyone.

It also means we can give paths some needed quality of life quirks
without having to worry how such a change might have a knock-on effect
for other paths.

Ash heretics can finally let loose without dying by their own flames.
Cosmic Heretic can go to space without having to carry a modsuit. Moon
Heretic can use their abilities without fear of one random trauma
ruining their day, and so on.

### What a horrible night to have a curse...., wait how do I curse
people again?

As of right now the heretic tree has quite a hefty amount of trinkets
that pretty much never see use.

Partly because the tree itself is a nightmare to navigate. And partly
because why would anyone set up an elaborate plan or scheme when they
can unleash 2 rows of spell in the span of bunch of seconds.

Heretics mostly gravitate towards powers that push them towards greater,
more potent combat strength. If it doesn't contribute to killing people
quicker, it isn't worth doing for most. And given the opportunity cost
associated for taking those powers, they will remain that way so long as
there are better choices to be poached.

The new draft system encourages Heretics to play more with the tools at
their disposal. If you want to go for a specific combo from the side
path options, you may now do so by tapping into the knowledge shop.

Yes, the shop does include a few knowledges from the other paths. But
these are limited to 1 per path, are very expensive and can only be
unlocked very late into the shift.

## Drip Of the Mansus

The iconic heretic robe is actually sequestered to a side path that is
most easily access by only two paths at a time. Since heretic paths are
being made to be much more specialized, the most obvious way in which
this can be showcased is through an easily
identifiable outfit.

By using the robes, we can both telegraph WHAT heretic you are looking
at, and just how much power they've accumulated and when it is
reasonable to take the kid gloves off and treat them as a genuine
threat. If a heretic is in their
robes, that heretic is now a significantly more prominent danger to the
station.

It also serves as a useful means for gating some of the more powerful
effects of a heretic's path behind the robes, AND enable options for
disarming them of that power should they be captured without making it
something endemic to their mob.

A major problem with heretics is a lack of certainty as to how powerful
they have become. A heretics robes is one of the milestones to help
players dealing with heretics identify that.

### Will this be 100% fair and balanced?

This is a massive overhaul to a pretty complex and bloated antagonist.
I've done my best to show the changes to several maintainers and other
members of the community for their feedback. But at some point we'll
have to see how this behave in the environment to get a feel if
something is over or undertuned. (that's my way of saying, yes this is
likely gonna require a testmerge or two).

What I will say is that I'm not trying to change the core identity of
Heretic.

Heretics should have the upperhand in single encounters early on, be
able to joust a small group of players after they unlock their final
spell, and end the round when they ascend. They're a progression
antagonist. They should retain their payoff as well as pose a danger as
they grow stronger.

But if more players feel like they are more reliably able to play the
antagonist in more varied and interesting ways, rather than the
antagonist largely existing as a measuring stick for 'robustness' due to
its elitist design philosophy, then the rework has been a success. There
should be something for
everyone in the antagonist, as is true for all of our antagonist roles.

MrMelbert 4b77c6f7c0 Decouples "Is this affected by a mop" from layer var (#88465)
## About The Pull Request

Rather than checking for object layer if we can clean something, has a
trait which accomplishes this

This better allows us to pick and choose what objects we want to clean
when mopping

Note: I didn't apply the trait to everything it previously affected
Currently, it cleans stuff like pipes and plumbing, which I deemed not
necessary to carry over since they can't get dirty anyways
I can re-add this if desired though

larentoun 692540a7b9 Singularity_pull() standartize (#87304)
## About The Pull Request
Previous attempt - https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/87227

`/atom/proc/singularity_pull(obj/singularity/singularity, current_size)`
has first arg typed, but other procs were just referencing it as a
un-typed variable.

Since args are not standartized AND
`atom/proc/singularity_pull(obj/singularity/singularity, current_size)`
is out-dated, since it can be called by things that has
`/datum/component/singularity` - not just by
`obj/singularity/singularity` - This PR just adds args to every

`proc/singularity_pull(atom/singularity, current_size)`

Also puts blood back on the floor plane, since it seems like it used to
be but may have been moved mistakenly questionmark.

This means they will not be affected by Ambient Occlusion:

YesterdaysPromise 8eb3b51ad9 /icons/ folder cleansing crusade part 3 (#83420)
## About The Pull Request

In my effort to make the /icons/ folder cleaner and more intuitive
instead of having to rely on recalling names of stuff and looking them
up in code to find them for poor sods such as myself, plus in spurt of
complusion to organize stuff, here goes. I've tracked all changes in
commit descriptions. A lot still to be done, but I know these waves go
over dozens of files making things slow, so went lighter on it.
Destroyed useless impostor files taking up space and cleaned a stray
pixel on my way.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Cleaner /icons/ file means saner spriters, less time spent. Stray pixels
and impostor files (ones which are copies of actually used ones
elsewhere) are not good.

Ghom 89a3734d99 Deathmatch Modifiers Tweaks and Additions (#82113)
## About The Pull Request
After playing more than a few matches, I came to notice a couple
lingering issues with deathmatch modifiers, and also I came up with more
ideas.

For starters, the echolocation modifier doesn't work, and even if it
worked, I believe it'd be ass, so I'm removing it. The perma-flipping
also doesn't work quite well and gets interrupted by stuff like
knockdowns and the such, plus it's just fluff, so I'm removing it too.
Second, I've forgot to set the style of the deadmatch missiles, so they
look like normal pods right now.

About what's being added rather than removed: There're now a "No
Slowdown" modifier, a "Random Teleports" one that randomly teleports
everyone (and whatever they're buckled too) every 12 to 24 seconds,
"Snail Crawl" which works much like snailpeople's, "Forcefield Trail"
which also works pretty much like the cosmic heretic trail, albeit
lasting way shorter, and finally a "Manual Blinking/Breathing", if you
truly hate players to a misanthropistic level.

So yeah, 2 removed modifiers, and 5 new ones.

## Why It's Good For The Game
Fixing a couple of issues, and lading the feature with a few more
options.

## Changelog

🆑
del: Removed the (non-working) "Perma-Flipping" and "Echolocation"
deathmatch modifiers.
add: Added "No Slowdown", "Random Teleports", "Snail Crawl", "Forcefield
Trail" and "Manual Blinking/Breathing" modifiers.

Main Paths:
- Eternal Gate: Opens up the Path of Cosmos to you. Allows you to
transmute a sheet of plasma and a knife into an Cosmic Blade. You can
only create two at a time.
- Grasp of Cosmos: Your Mansus Grasp will give people a star mark
(cosmic ring) and create a cosmic field where you stand.
- Cosmic Runes: Grants you Cosmic Runes, a spell that creates two runes
linked with eachother for easy teleportation. Only the entity activating
the rune will get transported, and it can be used by anyone without a
star mark.
- Mark of Cosmos: Your Mansus Grasp now applies the Mark of Cosmos. The
mark is triggered from an attack with your Cosmic Blade. When triggered,
the victim transport back to the Cosmic Diamond, which is the location
your mark was applied to them. After getting transported they will be
paralyzed for 2 seconds.
- Star Touch: Grants you Star Touch, a spell that will give people a
star mark (cosmic ring) and create a cosmic field where you stand.
People that already have a star mark will be forced to sleep for 4
seconds. When the victim is hit it also creates a beam that deals a bit
of fire damage and damages the cells. The beam lasts a minute, until the
beam is obstructed or until a new target has been found. Can remove
Cosmig Runes and teleport you to your Star Gazer when used in hand.
- Star Blast: Fires a projectile that moves very slowly and create a
cosmic field on impact. Anyone hit by the projectile will recieve burn
damage, a knockdown and a star mark.
- Cosmic Blade: our blade now deals damage to peoples cells through
cosmic radiation.
- Cosmic Expansion: Grants you Cosmic Expansion, a spell that creates a
3x3 area of cosmic fields around you. Nearby beings will also receive a
star mark.
- Creators's Gift: The ascension ritual of the Path of Cosmos. Bring 3
corpses with bluespacedust in their body to a transmutation rune to
complete the ritual. When completed, you become the owner of a Star
Gazer. You will be able to command the Star Gazer with Alt+click. You
can also give it commands through speech. The Star Gazer is a strong mob
that can even break down reinforced walls. Star Touch can now teleport
you to your Star Gazer when Star Touch is used in hand."

Side Paths:
- Ash-Cosmic: Fire Fish: Allows you to transmute a pool of ash, eyes,
and a sheet of plasma into a Fire Shark. Fire Sharks are fast and strong
in groups, but are bad at combat.
- Ash-Cosmic: Curse of The Stars: Allows you to transmute a bluespace
crystal, a pool of ash, and a liver to cast a Curse of The Stars on a
crew member. While cursed, the victim will recieve a star mark that
lasts for at least 3 minutes. This star mark makes it so that the crew
member cannot enter cosmic carpet fields. The victim will also recieve a
cosmic carpet trail for at least 3 minutes.
- Ash-Cosmic: Eldritch Coin: Allows you to transmute a sheet of plasma,
a diamond and eyes to create an Eldritch Coin. The coin will heals when
landing on heads and damages when landing on tails. The coin will heal
for more, but only for heretics.

Extra ability information:
- Star Mark: This is a status effect that prevents people from walking
into cosmic fields.
- Cosmig Fields: Only block entities marked with a star mark,
projectiles or throwing items will still work. Lasts only 30 seconds and
5 seconds for the Cosmig Trail trait.

Some things I wanted to mention:
- Why the Star Gazer is balanced: It has 3000 health and can kill people
pretty fast, but at the same time, anyone can space the Star Gazer and
lead it away from the heretic if they do not pay attention.
- The Cosmic Heretics balancing has been carefully considered. It is
relatively weak in group situations but strong in one to one combat.
- Balance changes can also be made after the PR gets merged need be, or
it can be test merged first.

Fikou 35b5ac0c4e Psykers (#71566)
## About The Pull Request
Finishes #66471
At burden level nine (or through a deadly genetic breakdown), you now
turn into a psyker.
This splits your skull in half and transforms it into a weird fleshy
mass. You become blind, but your skull is perfectly suited for sending
out psychic waves. You get potent psy abilities.
First one is brainwave echolocation, inspired by Gehennites (but not as
laggy).
Secondly, you get the ability of Psychic Walls, which act similarly to
wizard ones, but last shorter, and cause projectiles to ricochet off
them.
Thirdly, you get a projectile boost ability, this temporarily lets you
fire guns twice as fast and gives them homing to the target you clicked.
Lastly, you get the ability of psychic projection. This terrifies the
victim, fucking their screen up and causing them to rapidfire any gun
they have in their general direction (they'll probably miss you)
With most of the abilities being based around guns, a burden level nine
chaplain now gets a new rite, Transmogrify. This lets them turn their
null rod into a 5-shot 18 damage .77 revolver. The revolver possesses a
weaker version of antimagic (protects against mind and unholy spells,
but not wizard/cult ones). It is reloaded by a prayer action (can also
only be performed by a max burdened person).

## Why It's Good For The Game
Rewards the burdened chaplain with some pretty cool stuff for going
through hell like losing half his limbs, cause the current psychics dont
cut it as much as probably necessary, adds echolocation which can be
used for neat stuff in the future (bat organs for DNA infuser for
example).

tralezab 6c01cc2c01 every case of initialize that should have mapload, does (#61623)
## About The Pull Request

stop forgetting to include mapload, if you don't include it then every single subtype past it by default doesn't include it

for example, `obj/item` didn't include mapload so every single item by default didn't fill in mapload

![](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/823293417186000909/875122648605147146/image0.gif)

## Regex used:

procs without args, not even regex

`/Initialize()`

procs with args
`\/Initialize\((?!mapload)((.)*\w)?`

cleanup of things i didn't want to mapload:
`\/datum\/(.)*\/Initialize\(mapload`

Rohesie 25f670f8de Opacity refactor (#52881)
Moves all opacity var manipulation to a proc which sends a signal.
light_blocker element for movable opaque atoms made, which tracks its movement and updates the affected turfs for proper lighting updates.
has_opaque_atom boolean replaced by the opacity_sources lazylist to keep track of the sources, and a directional_opacity which serves a similar function but also allows for future expansion with on-border opaque objects (not yet implemented).
Some opacity-related sight procs optimized as a result of this.
Some variables moved to the object's definition.
A define or two added into the mix for clarity.
Some code cleaning, like turning booleans into their defines.
    One file renamed for clarity.

Changelog

balance: Mechs no longer block sight. It's a non-trivial cost for the lighting system with little to no gain.

Traitor mimes can buy the Guide to Advanced Mimery for 15 tc. Invisible Blockade creates a 3x3 invisible wall around the mime, and Finger Guns allows Mimes to shoot bullets out of their fingers.

Invisible Blockade is 3x1 now to avoid this problem and still make Mimes be blocked by their own walls.

Kyle Spier-Swenson dedb16826e Speeds up world init. (93s -> 49s) (#21992)
* Speeds up world init.

* Armor is now new inited for obj and the first level of subpaths.
* Actions is now lazyinited and deleted with empty.
* Actiontypes is now only inited when actually used and deleted once it pre-fills actions with the action buttons.
* Pipes now prefill their node list(s) in new() using new /list/ (count) syntax to speed up the list initaliztions and remove the init proc.
* Pipes no longer store their item version, instead creating it on the fly when deconned
* Walls no longer store their metal stacks, instead creating it on the fly when deconned.
* obj, walls, floor, plating, item, machinery, structure, pipe, pipenet, atom, and movable no longer have an (init) proc. (along with a few other smaller examples)
* Atmos can pass checking is now a var with the ability to have a proc be call in advance cases.
  * (as a side effect, I had to fix a few things that were calling atmosCanPass rather then using the pre-calculated list, this should speed up chemfoam and flame effects greatly)

* Reverts upload limit
(remind me one day to defuck this, it could easily be a config thats not editable by vv to make changes easier)

* Makes apc update icon a bit faster.
APC new is some what high on the profile of world init, still not sure why, but this stood out as a waste of cpu so i fixed it.

* Fixes runtime with atmos backpack water tanks.

* Makes smoothing faster (and fixes turfs smoothing twice at init)

* Makes apcs init faster by replacing some spawns with addtimer

* fix transit turfs.

phil235 2d2975f783 Some preliminary changes before the damage refactor PR. The changes here do absolutely nothing gamewise.
This just adds some vars that the refactor will use. Putting this in a separate PR prevent the damage refactor PR from becoming too big (number of files changed) and hard to read and review.

Introduces the resistance_flags bitflag that replaces unacidable and burn_state.
Moves the armor var from item to /obj level and gives specific armor values to many objects, the armor list also gets two new armor types: fire and acid, which will be used in the refactor. the new fire and acid armor values are given to plenty of items.

carnie a029a49392 SubSystem rewrite
Misc:

+Fixes unreported issue with initializing lighting on a specific zlevel

+Fixes two similar issues with moveElement and moveRange. Where fromIndex or toIndex could be adjusted incorrectly in certain conditions. Potentially causing bad-sorts, or out of bound errors.

+Rewrites listclearnulls(list/L) to no longer iterate through L.len elements for every null in the list (plus 1). i.e. went from L.len*(number_of_nulls+1) list-element reads (best-case), to L.len list-element reads (worst-case)

+New proc/getElementByVar(list/L, varname, value) which finds the first datum in a list, with a variable named varname, which equals value. You can also feed it atoms instead of lists due to the way the in operator functions.

+Fixes an unreported issue with Yota's list2text rewrite. Under certain conditions, the first element would not be converted into a string. Causing type-mismatch runtimes.

+New global map_ready variable. This is not fully implemented yet, but will be used to avoid duplicate calls to initialize() for map objects.

+All turfs now maintain references to all lights currently illuminating them. This will mean higher memory use unfortunately, due to the huge number of turfs. However, it will speed up updateAffectingLights significantly. I've used list husbandry to reduce baseline memory usage, so it shouldn't be any worse than some past atmos modifications memory-wise.

-Removed 'quadratic lighting', can add this back at some point. Sorry.

+modified the way lum() works slightly, to allow turfs to have overridden delta-lumen. i.e. space cannot be illuminated more than its default ambiance. This allowed removal of some iffy special-snowflake lighting areas implemented by somebody else.

+Lighting images in the dmi can now use arbitrary naming schemes. It is reliant on order now. This allows the dmi to be replaced by simply dropping in a new dmi.

-Removed all subtypes of /area/shuttle. Shuttles now create duplicate 'rooms' of /area/shuttle. (More on this later). This will conflict with most maps. Guide on how to fix to follow.

+All verbs/tools relating to world.tick_lag were refactored to use world.fps. However old config text for setting tick_lag will still work (it converts the value to fps for you)

+MC stats improved using smoothing. They now have their own tab so they dont get in the way when you're playing as an admin.

-removed the push_mob_back stuff due to conflicting changes. Sorry Giacom.

_OK, NOW THE ACTUAL INTERESTING STUFF_

Following systems moved over to subsystem datums:
air_master
garbage_manager
lighting_controller
process_mobs (aka Life())
nanomanager
power
sun
pipenets
AFK kick loops
shuttle_controller (aka emergency shuttle/pods), supply_shuttle and other shuttles
voting
bots
radio
diseases
events
jobs
objects
ticker

Subsystems hooks and variables should be commented fairly in-depth. If anything isn't particularly clear, please make an issue.

Many system-specific global variables have been refactored into

All tickers which previously used world.timeofday now use world.time

some subsystems can iterate before round start. this resolves the issue with votes not working pregame

MrPerson 9eee3e5067 First pass at a qdel() garbage collection system for tgstation
Works pretty well. If it can't GC something, it'll just del() it and be done.
Speed is amazing, holy shit.

New procs you should be aware of:
qdel(atom/movable) - sets up an object for garbage collection. Call this rather than del(atom/movable).
atom/movable/Destroy() - called right before the object is GC'd, so it still has a loc. Also called if the object is del()'d.
new controller - garbage.dm has all the details on this. Basically it nulls all references on GC'd objects and force del() them if necessary.
Generally speaking, objects should use Destroy() for behavior prior to deletion rather than Del(). You should also always call the parent so the object gets the right gc_destroyed var set.

ISSUES:
Tries to GC mobs atm. This actually works for new players, not so much for humans/monkies/simple_animals/anything. I'm guessing it needs to clear out their mind and HUD and maybe other things.
Gibbing is really bugged. It works, but the overlays just sit there for awhile and ugh. I'm very tempted just to del() mob/living and mob/camera and call it a day.
qdel() equipment doesn't unequip the item.
Pipes don't generally GC correctly. Debugging suggests they get referenced in many pipenets and that isn't cleared properly. However some do work fine. Need assistance here.
Bots don't GC, probably in the radio controller.
Lots of other shit doesn't GC but it's hard to find them because of the pipe spam.
I think I'm calling Destroy() twice by accident.

AlexanderUlanH 2fcf26667c Overhauled Projectiles
Changed atom's bullet_act to call the projectile's on_hit, and changed
most bullet_acts to call on_hit as well. Removed some now-unnecessary
snowflake code.

These changes will make projectiles which should effect non-mobs, such
as the gyrojet and the ion rifle, work properly. Inanimate objects can
now be empulsed with the ion rifle, whose projectiles used to dissipate
on hitting anything but a mob. Gyrojets now explode on most objects, as
opposed to just on walls and mobs, and the snowflake code that made them
work on walls is no longer necessary. The code for pulse rifles'
breaking walls has been moved from a check in turf to a check in pulse
beams, and has been expanded to include structures, allowing them to
(slowly) break girders. For coders, it means that on_hit is a reliable
proc for the effect of a bullet's hitting an object.
