## About The Pull Request
The barcode scanner now uses balloon alerts and only has 2 modes: check
in and add to inventory. It used to have 4, 2 of which were useless.
Added a title and author to chuuni granter so it's not broken to the
Curator's console. Moves inventory ui data stuff to ui static data so we
can reference it in checkout, which now uses a dropdown list of all
books in checkout, instead of having you fill out the name of the book
yourself.
Removes sending things to a computer by scanning a book then connecting
it to a computer. Just connect it to a computer first, there's no need
for this copy and paste stuff.
Finally, lets the book bag hold posters, since the Curator prints them
and it would be nice if they can also carry them without filling a bag.
Video was taken before the balloon alert stuff so just ignore that part

## Why It's Good For The Game
The library is currently very confusing for new people to figure out, I
thought this might be able to help with that.
The dropdown in the UI now means it's easier to give out books in
inventory, and you can no longer just type whatever the hell you wanted.
## Changelog

## About The Pull Request
The classic belts have been a staple of SS13 as a whole for years, all
the way back since /TG was first created. They have pooled downstream to
many other smaller servers with little to no change (except for the rare
few) to their overall design. This PR aims to give the old belts some
fresh life while retaining the soul that makes them that staple. Better
shading, more defined shape/color, just an overall facelift.

## About The Pull Request
Changes syndicate surgery duffelbags to contain advanced tools.
In total, they contain
- All advanced surgical tools, alongside the normal ones without an
advanced version
- Sterilizine gel
- Bone gel and surgical tape
- Roller bed
- Straight jacket, muzzle, and MMI
Changed the Syndicate Infiltrators' surgery areas to contain a full
syndicate surgery duffelbag.
The normal infiltrator now has a operating computer and a closet of
misc. surgical clothing and anesthesic tank.
## Why It's Good For The Game
> Changes syndicate surgery duffelbags to contain advanced tools.
> In total, they contain (...)
The only real reason to buy this item is for the increased storage space
the duffelbag gives, and I find that a little sad. Surgical tools are
plentiful, as they can either be lathed from cargo, medbay, or just
taken. A surgeon, the role that *should* thematically need this the
most, has absolutely no reason to take it. Now they do! A full set of
advanced tools is certainly something that can be considered for
purchase, especially with all the bonus items in here - which might just
allow a traitor to repair their bones if they're heavily wanted and
licking their wounds in maintenance. The TC cost has been increased to 4
to compensate.
> Changed the Syndicate Infiltrators' surgery areas to contain a full
syndicate surgery duffelbag.
Similar to above, but instead, the reasoning is that nukies really do
not have a lot of time to do surgery. A lot of the 20 minutes of prep
time in War is spent figuring out what you're buying with your
exorbitant amount of TC, in non-War you don't really want to delay the
mission for five minutes for surgery, and its hassle means that most
people do not really want to bother with things like nerve threading,
etc. due to the large, annoying time cost.
> The normal infiltrator now has a operating computer and a closet of
misc. surgical clothing and anesthesic tank.
The former is because, well, what the hell, why didn't it have one!
Removing the loose tools gave me the space for it. The latter is just me
realizing that empty closet is weird and lame and so I gave it some
fluff contents to give it a reason to exist.

## About The Pull Request
This PR will add new (antag) device, that will allow players to
counterfeit mails, putting (almost) anything they want and arming it, if
they liked to.
Upon activation this device will give you multiple choices like:
- Is it gonna be an envelope or a normal mail?
- Is it gonna be armed?
- Who is gonna be a recipient?
- If it is a non private mail, then what title it is gonna have?
Those devices can put any single normal sized item inside a mail, that
is gonna be activated upon opening if mail armed. Mail creator and other
ditalis will be shown to admins upon activation for admin purposes.
By activation i mean `attack_self` proc of an item.
Armed mail can be disarmed by using, BUT! Only owner can disarm it with
100% success rate. Other people will have 50% chance of fail, that will
activate a trap.
Those devices also have few more admin-only variations:
```
/obj/item/storage/mail_counterfeit_device/advanced
/obj/item/storage/mail_counterfeit_device/bluespace
```
They can put more items inside a mail.
### How to get those naughty devices?
- Those devices can be purchased in uplink. One device goes for one TC.
- QM and Cargo Technicians have special kits that costs 2 TC and have 6
devices.
And yeah, i also fixed issue with envelopes, they actually have 2 items
inside, but player were given only first one.
Proof of testing:

(minibomb was set to instant detonation before recording)
## Why It's Good For The Game

## About The Pull Request

Bottles have varied volumes - some of them hold 30, some 50, while
having the same sprite. And the size is comparable with small beaker, so
it was a bit weird that it can hold only 30 units. Now the default
bottle volume is 50, consistently.
Test tubes are the new 30u container that replaces bottles created in
chem master (but not condi master) and pandemic.
For better management of test tubes, this PR also adds a rack that can
be crafted from 1 wooden plank. The rack stores up to 10 test tubes and
can pick them up and drop quickly similar to how the pill bottle works
with pills.

## About The Pull Request
Adds a new quirk called Chronic Illness. It provides a -12 score as it's
a pretty life-altering quirk, but could give way to interesting RP.
- Hereditary Manifold Sickness (HMS) can not be cured, it can only be
delayed and treated using a new unmakable vaccine called
"Sansufentanyl". You spawn with 6 pills and are able to order crates
containing 12 more from cargo as it's proprietary to Interdyne.
- HMS has 5 stages total.
Stage 1 does nothing
Stage 2 gives minor effects
Stage 3 becomes debilitating
Stage 4 is a danger zone.
Upon reaching Stage 5, there are 4 possibilities, 1 is a recovery back
to stage 1, and the other 3 are deaths which I won't explain here to
avoid ruining it. (read the code I guess.)
This also adds a new traitor objective to infect someone with HMS.
- [x] Correcting the chronic aspect.
- [x] Add traitor objective.
- [x] Tweaking for fairness.
## Why It's Good For The Game
HMS is a new quirk that gives a much more hardcore junky or tumor
playstyle. Neglecting HMS can mean the end of your shift. it's not
something you want to mess with.
It puts a reliance on cargo rather than medical for a quirk and gives a
use case for money. (price may be tweaked still). I think it'd be
interesting to see if people will start mugging or robbing the vault
more to get their life-saving medication.

## About The Pull Request
Adds the Syndicate Induction Kit for Nuclear Operatives.
The kit contains the following
- One Ansem pistol
- One each of 10mm AP/HP magazines
- An energy dagger
- A syndicate bowman headset
- A nuclear PDA and agent card
- A syndicate fabric space suit and helmet, alongside a jet harness
- Combat boots, turtleneck, fingerless gloves
- The Fission Mailed book
- And the most important part, the induction implant.
The induction implant will make anyone who is implanted by it a
Syndicate Operative. This will give them the syndie faction and the nuke
op datum, alongside the usual weird name nukeops get.
The implant will NOT work on anyone who is not an antagonist in some way
or form. Normal crew members do not gain benefits from implanting, and
in fact the implant disintegrating inside gives them toxin.
It costs a total of 10 TC, for what is more or less 25 TC of gear. The
value is totally up to change, it's probably way too low.
Uplink spacesuits are randomized between all their different colored
variants! Visual only.
## Why It's Good For The Game
It's cool and rewards teamwork. Traitors can team up with nukies, and if
they choose to do so they gain some basic gear (a free gun, a space
suit, the dagger) that isn't really even close to the degree of gear
real ops get. As a downside, their name becomes an extremely obvious
nuclear operative name, meaning if they want to be stealthy they either
have to never talk or purchase a voice changer.
Being able to just obtain a whole new member of the team for so little
likely seems bonkers, but my intention is to just encourage something
that's neat and interesting ingame without hopefully being *too*
impactful and strong.
Imagine stumbling upon a heretic and inducting them into the team. Or a
changeling, or a wizard? Running around hypnoflashing people to be nuke
ops and then giving them the kit?? There's a lot of fun moments that
could arise from this, but they're balanced by the fact that, well,
nobody ever saves TC for the station.
Something I can see becoming a problem is EVERY traitor buying syndicate
encryption keys to beg for an induction kit every time war is declared.
I'm not sure if this is going to be a huge issue, but I think I'd rather
just get this ingame and see if that does turn out to be a problem. If
it does, we can just make it so that traitors can't be inducted, as the
syndicate has already hired them for something else and doesn't want to
flare inter-faction tensions.

Safeguards against #74965 happening in the future.
Noticed a bunch of these were using ITEM_SLOT_HANDS. This is incorrect,
as the element already automatically updates held items. grep'd it to
catch future instances.
Likewise, a number of objects weren't passing slot_flags to the element,
meaning it wasn't actually updating those things properly when they were
being worn. I've simplified this so now the element will automatically
update all slot_flags, and passing an additional slot to the element
when being added is only needed for additional slots that might need to
be updated. This also means if slot_flags change, the element will now
update correctly as well.
🆑 ShizCalev
code: The update_icon_updates_onmob element will now automatically
update all slots in an item's slot_flags var. This does fix multiple
things that weren't updating properly. Passing a slot to the element is

I played some as coroner, and realized there were a few things that were
either errors in the original PR, left out, or that could be added to
improve the feel of the job a little more. It ended up covering a fair
bit of ground, with a number of changes, but i'll go over the biggest
parts here:
First up! jumpsuits and jumpskirts! the medical doctor job, despite
starting with scrubs, still has a jumpsuit and skirt available in the
medidrobe. So, i added a pair for coroners to the mortidrobe, enjoy!
(and thanks to the kind morgue skeleton for modeling these with me!)
also, you may notice some black pixels on my head - that's because i
added a black scrubcap to the mortidrobe as well! the sprites were done
for this already, so when i noticed it was absent i opted to include it
here, for consistency with the other scrub types in the game.
next up, we have the other addition of this PR, the coroner's medkit
this is mainly for storing and consolidating coroner job items, in a
flavorful and interesting way. the coroner spawns with the larger
variant, that has more storage, but can still only hold up to small
items. it also includes a few more flavor items, that the compact
version lacks. the smaller version can be obtained in the autopsy kit
from cargo, and one more is available in the mortidrobe.
smaller changes:
i fixed some weird transparent pixels on the autopsy scanner itself, and
cleaned up some incorrect shading on the obj icon for the black scrubs.
before and after here:
i also gave the coroner their own type of pda, since they were
previously inheriting the medical one. this one matches their color
palette! in addition to this, i swapped the botkeeper app they
previously had for plexagon crew manifest.

Adds a Coroner job to the game, they work in the Medical department and
have their office in the Morgue.
I was inspired to make this after I had played my first round on
Paradise and messed around in there. The analyzer is copied from there
(https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/20957), and their
jumpsuit is also mostly stolen from it (i just copied the color scheme
onto our own suits).
Coroners can perform autopsies on people to see their stats, like this

They have access to Medbay, and on lowpop will get Pharmacy (to make
their own formaldehyde). They also have their own Secure Morgue access
for their office (doubles as a surgery room because they are edgelords
or whatever) and the secure morgue trays.
Secure Morgue trays spawn with their beepers off and is only accessible
by them, the CMO, and HoS. It's used to morgue Antagonists. Security's
own morgue trays have been removed.
The job in action

### Surgery changes
Autopsies are a Surgery, and I tried to intertwine this with the
Dissection surgery.
Dissections and Autopsies both require the Autopsy scanner to perform
them, however you can only perform one on any given body. Dissections
are for experiments, Autopsies is for the paper of information.
Dissected bodies now also give a ~20% surgery speed boost, this was
added at the request of Fikou as a way to encourage Doctors to let the
Coroner do their job before reviving a body.
I also remember the Medical skill, which allowed Doctors to do surgery
faster on people, and I hope that this can do something like that
WITHOUT adding the potential for exploiting, which led to the skill's
downfall.
### Morgue Improvements
Morgue trays are no longer named with pens, they instead will steal the
name of the last bodybag to be put in them.
Morgue trays are also removed from Brig Medical areas and Robotics, now
they have to bring their corpses to the Morgue where the Coroner can
keep track and ensure records are properly updated.
### Sprite credits
I can't fit it all in the Changelog, so this is who made what
McRamon
- Autopsy scanner
Tattax
- Table clock sprites and in-hands
CoiledLamb
- Coroner jumpsuits & labcoats (inhand, on sprite, and their respective
alternatives)
- Coroner gloves
- CoronerDrobe (the vending machine)
## Why It's Good For The Game
This is mostly explained in the hackmd, but the goal of this is:
1. Increase the use of the Medical Records console.
2. Add a new and interesting way for Detectives to uncover mysteries.
3. Add a more RP-flavored role in Medical that still has mechanics tied
behind it.

Ladies, Gentlemen, Gamers. You're probably wondering why I've called you
all here (through the automatic reviewer request system). So, mineral
balance! Mineral balance is less a balance and more of a nervous white
dude juggling spinning plates on a high-wire on his first day. The fact
it hasn't failed after going on this long is a miracle in and of itself.
This PR does not change mineral balance. What this does is moves over
every individual cost, both in crafting recipes attached to an object
over to a define based system. We have 3 defines:
`sheet_material_amount=2000` . Stock standard mineral sheet. This being
our central mineral unit, this is used for all costs 2000+.
`half_sheet_material_amount=1000` . Same as above, but using iron rods
as our inbetween for costs of 1000-1999.
`small_material_amount=100` . This hits 1-999. This covers... a
startlingly large amount of the codebase. It's feast or famine out here
in terms of mineral costs as a result, items are either sheets upon
sheets, or some fraction of small mats.
Shout out to riot darts for being the worst material cost in the game. I
will not elaborate.
Regardless, this has no functional change, but it sets the groundwork
for making future changes to material costs much, MUCH easier, and moves
over to a single, standardized set of units to help enforce coding
standards on new items, and will bring up lots of uncomfortable balance
questions down the line.
For now though, this serves as some rough boundaries on how items costs
are related, and will make adjusting these values easier going forward.
Except for foam darts.
I did round up foam darts.
Adjusting mineral balance on the macro scale will be as simple as
changing the aforementioned mineral defines, where the alternative is a
rats nest of magic number defines. ~~No seriously, 11.25 iron for a foam
dart are you kidding me what is the POINT WHY NOT JUST MAKE IT 11~~
Items individual numbers have not been adjusted yet, but we can
standardize how the conversation can be held and actually GET SOMEWHERE
on material balance as opposed to throwing our hands up or ignoring it
for another 10 years.
## About The Pull Request
### Divine Archer 🏹

Adds a new chaplain weapon and suit of armor, the divine archer. It's an
orderable set of armor, but provides less armor than the rest, but you
get more pieces of armor (boots, bracer, undersuit).
The divine bow comes with a quiver that holds holy arrows. The holy
arrows come with bane support, dealing critical damage to revenants.
### Bow Features ⭐

### Bow Improvements 🔧

## About The Pull Request
Gives nuke ops three free health analyzers in their shuttle, advanced
health analyzers in both medic kits, and a bonus health analyzer MODule
in the premium medical kit.
## Why It's Good For The Game
Nuke ops had these until, most likely, base medkits lost their scanners,
and nobody has really noticed or cared about it until now. While they
aren't obligatory, they are nice to have and especially useful if the
patient is suffering non-standard symptoms. Given that there is
absolutely no way to actually scan someone's health in the Infiltrator
shuttle, having some for free is a _must_ else you are just left
confused as you slowly die. You *can* buy the radioactive microlaser,
but that's a crapshoot, it costs 4 TC, nobody does it and it shouldn't
even be purchasable tbh, and there's the risk of irradiating your
teammate.
Combat medic kits get advanced health analyzers because, well, they're
medics and they NEED a way to diagnose patients, and the premium kit
gets both an advanced analyzer and a module so the medic can choose
whichever is most comfortable for them.

## About The Pull Request
Labels a few bits of security equipment as lethal, nonlethal,
less-than-lethal or highly destructive (in the case of ion carbines or
flamethrowers). For shotgun shell boxes, ammo boxes and weapon crafting
kits, it clarifies this in the name. For printable individual ammo, it
clarifies this in the print name.
## Why It's Good For The Game
[This
thread](https://tgstation13.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=676311#p676311)
reminded me that I've seen a lot of confusion about various pieces of
security equipment and what exactly the distinction is between lethal,
nonlethal and less-lethal actually is. People actively use a lot of
less-lethal equipment while thinking that it is nonlethal. It isn't. You
absolutely can kill someone with rubber shot and beanbags, and the AI
will get up in your grill about it.
The same can be said about weapons such as the energy crossbow. I saw
one person flabbergasted that by repeatedly shooting someone with it,
they killed their prisoner with toxin damage. While the weapon is mostly
stamina damage, it still deals a hefty amount of toxin damage, so
shouldn't be used necessarily in place of a disabler or baton. Equally,
I've seen some people using temperature guns recklessly and finding out
far too late that they've murdered a lizardperson by shooting them once,
or wondering why the AI is angry at them for using it when it doesn't
_seemingly_ cause damage immediately. This has resulted in
administrative issues.
We can't assume our players know these distinctions before utilizing
this equipment, so having some helpful gear titles will hopefully inform
them before they walk into these problems.
## Changelog

qol: Clarifies in various names and descriptions whether security
equipment is lethal, nonlethal, less-than-lethal or destructive.

## About The Pull Request
### **Cargo Black Market goods should stay in cargo's hands**
#### New Cargo Console Category: Imports
This category is explicitly the non-departmental category beyond simply
having a Misc category. It is meant for material that nobody is meant to
be buying for their departments, and mostly for the odd-ball crates that
might show up. It also allows us to maintain contraband as exactly that;
contraband that the departments shouldn't have access too whatsoever. If
someone is buying from this category, they probably intend to be a
cheeky fuck.
<details>
<summary>The New Changes</summary>
#### Baseline Imports
MEAT: MEAT (meat backpack you can eat)
<details>
<summary>MEAT</summary>

</details>
Duct Spiders: They're adorable and cause a mess, but that doesn't stop
Nanotrasen from importing them from the Australicus sector to your
station!
Stack of 50 Bamboo Cuttings: Pretty expensive and kind of a premium.
Allows for those people looking to make bamboo decorations without
hoping botany exists, and are at least willing to pay. Also lets them
make horribly dangerous stuff with bamboo, of course.
A Single Sheet of Bananium: The problems this will cause I think speak
for themselves. (mostly due to a clown fruitlessly attempting to make
something actually disruptive while bankrupting cargo)
Natural Fish Bait: It isn't cheating, it's homemade. (Really good bait
but expensive and obviously drugs)
A dumpster...: A corpse in a dumpster, doesn't get more complicated than
that. Useful for corpse reasons.
Made using some code I borrowed from over here!
https://github.com/lizardqueenlexi/orbstation/pull/354
#### Contraband Imports
Foam Force Pistols: Same as it ever was with a price reduction. I
brought it down because riot darts are like 8 bullets a clip, and do
less damage than a disabler using riot darts. It feels like a sidegrade
weapon, and even if it technically is a ballistic weapon, it...isn't
that strong. I think this is pretty safe.
Definitely Not a Duct Spider: It's actually a giant spider in a box. If
you want to waste cargo's money while also sending them a mess to deal
with, this is the crate for you.
Russian Surplus Military Gear Crate: I took this opportunity to futz
with boltaction rifles. There are two kinds of mosin nagant you can get
in this crate. One of them is the good kind (no jamming). The other is
the shit kind (yes jamming), but you get more of them. You can get the
good ammo, or you can get the shit ammo. You'll have to pick through it
a lot more carefully to make sure you know which ones you've received.
Since this dilutes the pool even further, getting a good number of
mosins that aren't trash is even more expensive, and even if you do get
mosins at all, you might still only get the bad ammunition that doesn't
work against actual human threats as well. It also now cannot be
purchased through the security cargo supply console, and as to why they
could in the first place baffles me. Doesn't have a lock anymore
because...it's contraband? Who is locking this stuff?
**Side note: _You can make surplus 7.62 in the autolathe as well. It is
not very good except to fight fauna or naked assistants._**
**Side Side note: _I've killed off the shitty brand_new subtype and
brought peace once more to this land._**
#### Illegal Imports (Emag)
NULL_ENTRY: A journal that suggests how to make a...very interesting
weapon. The Regal Condor. Kind of an evolution on some other ideas I've
had over the years. This one is basically a secret weapon with a few
hurdles to jump through. Very lethal. Very expensive.
**Side note: _For reference, it's effectively 19 TC worth of gear to
make, but there does exist some methods to acquire this more cheaply if
you can get some bits and pieces from world spawns. Given it requires
you to get some pieces of equipment that might require additional
purchases of contraband, and getting into the captain's office to loot a
specific piece of clothing, the stakes more than make up for the
effectiveness._**
Smuggled WT-550 Autorifle Crate: This is basically the same, but you
might have noticed had you recently attempted, like me, to buy these
when you emagged them using a personal account and discovered a tragic
oversight. You couldn't, because they still needed armory access. This
removes that access, because you've already gone to the effort of
getting your hands on an illicit firearm through cargo, and if they
techs somehow miss the fact that you've purchased a WT-550...all the
better for you!
Smuggled WT-550 Ammo Crate: Includes AP and Incendiary!
**Side note: _You can get WT-550 ammo again via the Illegal Technology
node._**
Shocktrooper: Replaces the Special Ops crate. Contains a box of EMPs,
smoke grenades, a couple of gluon grenades and a couple of frag
grenades. Funsies.
Special Ops: The NEW Special Ops crate. Contains a chameleon mask,
jumpsuit and agent card. And a knife.
**Side note: _This is what appears in some cargo loan events._**
Refurbished Mosin Nagant Crate: The actual good mosin nagants. There are
6 of them. But they don't come with spare ammo. Hand them out to your
techs!
</details>
#### New Crates
- MEAT crate - Standard
- Duct Spider crate - Standard
- Giant Hostile Spider crate - Contraband
- 50 sheets of Bamboo crate - Standard
- A single sheet of bananium crate - Standard
- Natural (drugs) fish bait - Standard
- Dumpster with a corpse in it - Standard
- Shocktrooper crate (Grenades) - Emag
- Special Ops crate (Disguise) - Emag - Appears in some cargo loan
events
- Refurbished Mosin Nagant crate - Emag
- Regal Condor construction journal (NULL_ENTRY) - Emag
#### Changed Crates
- Foam Force Pistols (cheaper) - Contraband
- Russian Surplus Crate (less reliable, can't be bought by security
console) - Contraband
- WT-550 crate (more obtainable via personal accounts, thus
incriminating, not armory locked) - Emag
- WT-550 ammo (includes incendiary and AP) - Emag
#### Crates that got moved, unchanged, into Imports
- Foam Force Crate
- Cosa Nostra Crate
- Black Market LTSRBT
- 'Contraband' Crate
- Biker Gang Crate
#### Not crate changes
- You can print Surplus 7.62 (same as normal 7.62 but it sucks against
armor) from hacked autolathes.
- You can get WT-550 ammo from illegal tech.
- Removes the redundant Brand New Mosin subtype
- Fixes a potential exploit with jamming chance on Mosins.
## Why It's Good For The Game
I just think some of the magic of Cargo getting their hands on obviously
dangerous equipment and either hording it for themselves or attempting
to pawn it off was lost in recent times. A lot of this 'black market'
gear, however, suddenly became openly available to the crew anyway. For
_free_. Contraband crates and mafia crates could be purchased via the
Service budget. Security could just stock up en masse on mosins through
their console. And one fairly unfortunate consequence of a few recent
changes has made it nearly impossible to actually get illicit gear in
the first place, even if you did go to the effort of getting the money
for it.
On top of this, most of cargo's goods are pretty safe purchases. There
isn't much that would be considered 'actually a really bad idea to buy'
other than maybe supermatter shards. I wouldn't mind there existing ways
for someone to waste cargo's money while also causing them to have to
clean up the mess.
## Changelog
🆑
balance: A significant overhaul of various illicit and dubiously legal
goods and gadgets available via cargo.
balance: Cargo now has an Import category for all non-departmental
goods. (And black market goods)
balance: Most contraband that already exists has been moved into
Imports.
adds: Includes several new imports of dubious quality. You get what you
pay for.
code: Removes the brand new mosin subtype as it is now defunct.
fix: Fixes potentially exploitative code in the jamming proc. Cleans up
that code while I'm at it.

<summary>Dark Matt-eor Image</summary>

</details>
> A barely visible blur in the cosmic darkness, like a ghostly shadow on
a moonless night. A piercing howl in the vacuum of space, as if it were
tearing the fabric of reality. A twisted halo of light around it,
bending and breaking the rays of distant suns. A shower of quantum
sparks, flickering and fading in its wake. A dark matter meteor (dark
matt-eor) is a wonder to witness, and to dread.
> A sudden impact, like a hammer blow to the heart of the station. A
violent tremor, shaking and shattering the metal walls and windows. A
deafening roar, as the air rushes out of the breached hull. A blinding
flash, as the dark matter meteor unleashes its hidden energy. A tiny
black hole, forming and growing in the center of the station. A
relentless pull, dragging everything towards the abyss. A dark matter
meteor is incredibly deadly.
Emagging too many meteor shields will summon a dark matt-eor. This comes
with several warnings, and after awhile, warns the station that someone
is trying to summon a dark matteor.
The dark matt-eor itself is not that damaging in its impact, but drops a
singularity in its final resting place.
## Why It's Good For The Game
It's a new way to terrorize a round as an antagonist. Before, emagging a
lot of meteor shields would basically make meteor showers the only event
that can run, which is cool, but since constant meteor waves are going
to destroy the station, let's also throw in the mother of all meteors!
This also adds warnings to spamming emagging meteor shields, which imo
needs it. The round ends when someone spams emagged meteor shields, and
since they're meteor shields nobody is going to reasonably check on
them.
## Changelog
🆑
add: The dark matt-eor
add: Summon a dark matt-eor final traitor objective
add: Dark matter singularity variant, which can't grow as big as a
regular singularity but hungers for blood
code: cleaned up/sorted meteor shield code, satellite control, and more
qol: added a lot of feedback to interacting with meteor shields
balance: emagging a lot of meteor shields warns the station, but
emagging enough of them summons a Dark Matt-eor.

## About The Pull Request
### The Rifle:
-The Sniper Rifle is now a bolt action. This replaces the 4 second fire
delay on the sniper rifle. This overall will improve the fire rate if
you're good at racking the bolt, but it will also feel less like you're
in a weird limbo of inaction while using the sniper rifle, since the
fire delay can be quite confusing to players not used to it. This can be
tweaked, like reducing the speed of the racking action, if it seems like
it is too much.
-The scope component now goes up to 50 tiles (or so), which allows you
to gain a significant sightline over an area. The reasoning for this is
simple. The component actually nerfed the overall range of the sniper
rifle's scope, so this should hopefully restore that somewhat. And
having such a huge sightline makes it much easier to utilize the
impressive range of the rifle. Currently, it's really only ideal for
extremely close range fighting.
-The normal sniper rifle, the one that syndicate base scientists get,
can be suppressed. I don't know why it was different.
### The Ammo:
Normal .50 BMG: Does much more object damage, and on top of that deals
additional damage to mechs, but not by much more. Now, when it
dismembers a limb, it also deals its damage to the chest. This ensures
that you didn't straight up lose out on dealing a killing blow because
you took their limb off, and makes the dismemberment property of .50 BMG
a significant upside rather than a immense detriment.
Marksman: Gains a lot of the above benefits, but has much lower range.
Why this nerf? It's actually because of some funny nonsense with how
ricochet works. Which can cause....accidents to happen. To you. Consider
that firing down a straight line and missing could be quite embarrassing
when the bullet has 400 tiles of range.
Soporific: Now called Disruptor ammo. Works as it did before, putting
humans to sleep for 40 seconds (seriously, 40 seconds). Also deals some
stamina damage, if...that's relevant. But now also causes an EMP effect
and a boatload of added damage to both mechs and borgs, allowing it to
be an excellent anti-mech and anti-borg ammo type, as well as scrambling
any pesky suit sensors, energy weapons and so on in an area around the
impact. Useful for support fire.
Incendiary (NEW!): Causes a massive firebomb to go off where it impacts
(no explosion, so this isn't a stun). Also sets the target on fire,
which is always fun. Good for shooting into groups of people with
impunity. Also deals burn damage instead, since I think nukies could use
more methods for direct fire damage.
Surplus (NEW!): It's .50 BMG but it lacks most if not all the upsides.
No armour penetration, no dismemberment, no paralysis. It still deals a
lot of damage to objects, so not a bad option for simply removing
structures from afar. So what's the point in this ammo? You can buy 7
magazines for the price of one. I want to introduce 'Surplus' as an idea
for nukies to invest in if they want to be able to keep shooting but
they're really on a budget, like most non-warop nukies tend to be. This
is definitely subject to change (like a damage decrease on top of
everything else).
Pricing and Capacity: Normal ammo and surplus costs 3 TC. Every special
ammo costs 4 TC. Every special ammo also has the same ammo capacity as
the normal magazine. It's kind of weird how most of the subtypes had 5
shots rather than 6, but then soporific had...3? I don't get it. This
would probably cause a good deal of confusion, especially if you are
swapping ammo types and weren't aware of this particular oddity.
Anyway, 6 shots.
### Minor Addition
Gets rid of the cheap suppressor. It lies to players, tricking them into
thinking this is a low quality suppressor. Newsflash, it isn't. There is
no distinct difference between that suppressor and the normal
suppressor.
## Why It's Good For The Game
The sniper rifle, unfortunately, sucks a lot except for very specific
use cases. It got a big nerf with the scope component in terms of range,
even if the functionality is way cooler. And, at a baseline, there was
some counterintuitive functions attached to it. Dismemberment was cool,
but it also caused a loss in overall damage due to how limbs contribute
to core health. On top of this, the cool ammo types were...not much
better? Penetrator was almost always the best option, even if it lost a
lot of damage as a consequence.
So, what was it good for? X-ray + Penetrator. Pretty much, that's it. It
has some other uses but if I had to be entirely honest, there wasn't
much that other weapon couldn't do as well.
Hopefully this helps things going forward, and I want to mess with this
as well down the line in case its a bit too much of a boost in power.
Absolutely please rip this PR apart.
## Changelog
🆑
balance: Makes the syndicate sniper rifle a bolt-action rifle.
balance: Sniper rifles have a scope range of roughly 50 tiles.
balance: Sniper rifle ammo, if it dismembers your limbs, does damage to
the chest.
balance: All the various syndicate sniper rifle magazines have
consistent casing quantities (6 shots). They also have more consistent
pricing. 3 for normal and a box of surplus, and 4 for every other type.
balance: Reduces the range of Marksman ammo to 50 tiles. Not because it
is strong, but because you might accidentally shoot yourself if you're
not watching where you're shooting. Ricochets are no joke.
add: Replaces Soporific with Disruptor ammo. Works like soporific, but
also EMPS things it hits.
add: Adds Incendiary .50 BMG. Causes a combustion to erupt from the
struck target, as well as setting targets on fire. Great for parties.
add: Adds Surplus .50 BMG. It sucks, but you get a lot of them! Quantity
over quality, baby.
remove: The suppressors in the bundle are of standard quality. The
apparent 'cheap suppressor' that came bundled with the C-20r and sniper
rifle were found to actually be 'fine'. Trust us.

## About The Pull Request
Bone gel spawned inside player medical belts, for the roles of Paramedic
and Medical ERT, now spawns in a stack of 4. Previously they would spawn
with only a single stack. This new amount matches the stack size
received when purchasing the identical item from a Nanomed, or ordering
it in a Cargo crate.
As such, this change creates consistency around the number of uses in an
fresh, "unopened" bottle of bone gel.
## Why It's Good For The Game
Creating a uniform, default stack size for bone gel keeps interactions
with the item consistent and predictable. In the case of paramedics,
their starting kit also includes 5 stacks of surgical tape, so having a
few stacks of bone gel matches the player expectation that they have
enough supplies to treat a few instances of each type of injury (rather
than only one).
Addressing this discrepancy also Closes#71393.

## About The Pull Request
I'm a bit sad about the state of trashbags.
They're very clunky to use, so they almost never get touched. S
depressing. Let's try and fix that.
Let's make em fit in the belt slot (again), but as a tradeoff we'll make
it harder to pull one thing from your bag.
We'll give it a say, 1.5 second delay, so you can't quickdraw from em.
If you try and dump them out into something else, we'll throw any
spillover on the ground below you
I'm also doing some general code cleanup here. Making procs more
readable, vars more direct, removing some old legacy stuff.
I've added a remove_single proc to hook into via subtype, which takes a
mob as input. this has required placing extra requirement on some helper
procs, but fortunately it's not something they're unable to meet.
My hope is this will make garbage bags usable without being stupid.
## Why It's Good For The Game
I don't see these get used at all, cause they're a pain to carry around.
They got gimped because people were using them as infinite storage for
shotgun shells and other small items.
I've made using them for this sort of thing hard and slow, so I think we
oughta be fine. If not I'll do some more touching, maybe give the
autodrop a delay.

## About The Pull Request
This transforms the Calomel now into a better version called Ammoniated
Mercury and brings the old Calomel back. Calomel purges all chemicals
again and Ammoniated Mercury purges toxins. Calomel deals toxin damage
until you have less than 100 health in which case it starts doing to
opposite. Ammoniated Mercury heals toxin damage if you do not have
enough brute or fire damage.
Paramedics now get a bottle of Ammoniated Mercury since it is the new
Calomel.
## Why It's Good For The Game
I always used to use Calomel back in the day to get rid of all
chemicals. Multiver does the same but has very weird conditions, so now
I split the old and new Calomel into two chemicals for both uses to
become available. I have never seen anyone use Calomel so now it can be
used to fix overdoses again.

contains both candy items and explosives purchasable by clown
operatives.
The pinata functionality is also a component so admins can turn any
structure/machine/mob into a pinata and customize the "candy" inside
Sprites by @Mey-Ha-Zah animated versions by me
## Why It's Good For The Game
Adds a cute little celebration themed structure that can be bought by
players to accommodate a celebration based gimmicks or the party trait.
I think the options on things to do as a crew during a celebration are a
bit limited at present with most of the options being making/purchasing
food, activity wise the main example of a celebration item is pin the
tail on the corgi which is a bit uninteresting, the pinata on the other
hand is more cathartic and provides a "reward" in the form of various
candy items for people who participate in smashing it. I also think its
just funny to have clown operative gambling half their TC to try and get
explosives.

## About The Pull Request
Adds a new neutral station trait the announces to the crew its a member
of staff's birthday, spreads some confetti/balloons around and gives out
some birthday themed items including hats, new toys and cake ingredients
for the chef.
The mechanical impact of the trait is quite minimal only giving out some
fluff items and giving the janitor some extra work. However the event
has a lot of potential roleplay impact by singling out a crewmember and
informing everyone about their birthday, I can foresee players using
this as an opportunity to run birthday themed gimmicks or give one
specific player preferential treatment for the shift which should allow
for some interesting stories to be produced.
<!-- Describe The Pull Request. Please be sure every change is

## Why It's Good For The Game
Partially explained in my about section but in short I think a lot of
the station traits we have at the moment are very mechanically driven
and we could use a more open ended roleplay prompt themed one which this
one provides. The idea of one player getting put in the spotlight while
not being an antagonist is also something I can see potentially great
stories come from.
<!-- Argue for the merits of your changes and how they benefit the game,

fix: Folding a "fancy box" like donut or candles will now put cardboard
in your hand, rather than on the floor.
fix: You can always see how many pickles are in a jar of pickles, or
rolling papers there are in a pack of rolling papers, since it's not
possible to close them.

Currently, folding a "fancy box", one where the contents are visible in
the icon, like a donut or candle box, the cardboard will drop on the
floor.
The `attack_self()` proc between the two types of boxes have been
unified.
In addition, the `is_open` for fancy boxes has been expanded to include
the "always open" option, where the contents of the box are always
countable on examine, and the box does not have a closed appearance.
Candle boxes previously special cased the `attack_self()` proc, and with
this addition, no longer need to.
## Why It's Good For The Game
Consistency in box interaction. Cardboard in hand. Always can count
pickles.
## About The Pull Request
/obj/item/food/canned_jellyfish, /obj/item/food/desert_snails, and
/obj/item/food/larvae are now all /canned subtypes. All this means is
that to eat them, you use them once, and now they drop an empty tin
rubbish item.
## Why It's Good For The Game
Making fake false versions of real types that exist is such a pet peeve
of mine, we recently had a bug from it where the snails would go bad.
But even with that fixed you're just chomping the container of snails
and it's not the same behavior as all the other cans
grumgrugmrg I FIXED IT.

refactor: Lizard related canned food now acts like canned food
/🆑
This builds on what #69790 did and improved the code even further.
Notable things:
- `Topic()` is a deprecated proc in our codebase (replaced with
Javascript tgui) so it makes sense to rename `canUseTopic` to
`can_perform_action` which is more straightforward in what it does.
- Positional and named arguments have been converted into a easier to
use `action_bitflag`
- The bitflags adds some new checks you can use like: `NEED_GRAVITY |
NEED_LITERACY | NEED_LIGHT` when you want to perform an action.
- Redundant, duplicate, or dead code has been removed.
- Fixes several runtimes where `canUseTopic` was being called without a
proper target (IV drips, gibber, food processor)
- Better documentation for the proc and bitflags with examples
This makes it so that you need a weapon permit to be able to purchase
and open weapon goodie packs. The only one that still needs armory
access is combat shotguns.
In addition:
You can buy disablers and lasers as goodie packs. Disablers come with a
holster to stow your gun in, and also allow a security officer the
ability to stow two disablers in the holster if they choose to buy
another.
Energy holsters (what were just thermal holsters) can also store mini
ebows because I just kind of forgot about them the first time around,
oops!

## Why It's Good For The Game
Don't give me rapid construction devices that don't fit in my toolbelt,
that's lame!
