FinancialGoose e98cb75c57 Refactor gasmix mole change into a proc (#95327)
## About The Pull Request
Refactor the majority of the current gasmix mole change use cases into a
proc called adjust_gas which simply adds the designated mole count of
the species into the gas mix while also handling asserting the gas and
garbage_collect()
I also added adjust_multiple_gases and convert_gas() for modifying
multiple gases and within a gasmix

## Why It's Good For The Game

MrMelbert 442ad835bc Reverts inertia based space movement (#95536)
## About The Pull Request

Reverts space movement being affected by inertia

What is kept:

- Items have a varying force on your drift speed, ie heavier items will
move you faster through space, and smaller items, slower.
- Jetpacks can have varying force of impulse - the effect is applied
directly to the mob's `inertia_move_multiplier`
- Tethers are unreverted - they still stop you from drifting too far
from the tether point, however you can no longer 'swing' with them.

What is removed:

- Multiple impulses in the same angle/direction no longer speeds you up.
Only the fastest impulse in 1 direction is accounted for.
- An impulse in a different angle/direction will completely override any
existing impulses, even if they are faster.
- Jetpack stabilizers are once again perfectly capable of immediately
stopping any active impulses.

TL;DR

If you point yourself in a direction you will now go that direction

## Why It's Good For The Game

The concept was fun and had potential but the fight between impulses vs
tiles was very, very clunky and janky.
Multiple fixes were attempted to reduce the jank but it ultimately
nograv still acts very cumbersome and jetpacks are still very
unappealing to use.
Smartkar gave the go-ahead to revert this a while back so, o7.

Ghom 0b0c5ea91e Unit test material checks are now performed on all crafting recipes by default. All stack recipes now transfer mats to the results (#92620)
## About The Pull Request
Extends the part of the crafting unit test that ensures consistency
between the total mats of the components of a recipe (or rather, the
result of said recipe) and a generic instance of the same type as its
result, previously only implemented on food recipes.

## Why It's Good For The Game
This ensures a degree of consistency with the material composition of
various objects in the game. I couldn't do it in the original PR as that
one was too big already and it took months to get it merged, and have
the relative bugs fixed.

Currently a WIP as I slowly deal with the unit test reports.

## Changelog

🆑
refactor: Follow-up to the crafting/material refactor from months ago.
All objects crafted with stacks now inherit their mat composition (not
necessarily the effects and color) by default, while previously only a
few things like chair, sinks and toilets did. Report any object looking
or behaving weirdly as a result.
fix: The material composition of ammo boxes is no longer a 1/10 of what
it's supposed to be. It was a shitty hack to make it harder to recycle
empty ammo boxes. Instead, they lose materials as they're emptied now.

SmArtKar 4dd6cdeb72 Refactors how item actions are handled (#89654)
## About The Pull Request

This PR tackles our piss-poor item action handling. Currently in order
to make an item only have actions when its equipped to a certain slot
you need to override a proc, which I've changed by introducing an
action_slots variable. I've also cleaned up a ton of action code, and
most importantly moved a lot of Trigger effects on items to do_effect,
which allows actions to not call ui_action_click or attack_self on an
item without bypassing IsAvailible and comsigs that parent Trigger has.
This resolves issues like jump boots being usable from your hands, HUDs
being toggleable out of your pockets, etc. Also moved a few actions from
relying on attack_self to individual handling on their side.

This also stops welding masks/hardhats from showing their action while
you hold them, this part of the change is just something I thought
didn't make much sense - you can use their action by using them in-hand,
and flickering on your action bar can be annoying when reshuffling your
backpack.

Closes #89653

## Why It's Good For The Game
Makes action handling significantly less ass, allows us to avoid code
like this
```js
/obj/item/clothing/mask/gas/sechailer/ui_action_click(mob/user, action)
	if(istype(action, /datum/action/item_action/halt))
		halt()
	else
		adjust_visor(user)
SmArtKar ad111f4950 Spacemove refactor - Newtonian physics (#84869)
## About The Pull Request
This PR significantly enhances how zero-g movement works. Its no longer
locked to one of 8 directions, everything now has inertia and is
affected by weight. This means that throwing a piece of wire will no
longer completely reverse your movement direction, and that being thrown
out of mass driver no longer will slow you down to a halt at some point.
This leads to following gameplay changes:
* Guns now accelerate you. Ballistics have higher acceleration than
lasers, and higher calibers have higher acceleration than smaller ones.
This means that firing full-auto weapons in zero-g will make you drift
and accelerate significantly. While this can be a hilarious way to
travel in space, it makes using them trickier.
* Impacting a wall or an object while moving at high speeds will cause
you to violently crash into it as if you were thrown. Careful when
exploring!
* Jetpacks now have inertia. Changes introduced in #84712 have been
mostly reverted, although speed buff has been reduced to 0.3 instead of
0.5 (although this is compensated by new movement mechanics, so overall
speed should be roughly equal). All MODsuit jetpacks now possess the
speed boost. Advanced MODsuit jets (which has also been added back) and
captain's jetpack instead have higher acceleration and stabilization
power, providing much more precise control over your movement.
* Firing guns while moving on a jetpack will partially negate your
pack's acceleration, slowing you down. Non-advanced jetpacks'
stabilization is not enough to compensate for heavy caliber weaponry as
sniper rifles, shotguns or rocket launchers.
* You no longer instantly decelerate upon sliding along a wall. Instead,
it may take a few tiles if you are moving at extreme speeds. Passing
over lattices still allows you to grab onto them!
As space movement is angle-based instead of dir-based now, its much more
smooth than before due to using new movement logic.
Example of jetpack stabilization in action:
https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/assets/44720187/6761a4fd-b7de-4523-97ea-38144b8aab41
And, of course, you can do this now.
![jetpack_500](https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/assets/44720187/37b11cd8-2bd1-4640-ae0c-5e0cc505bf52)
**This pull request requires extensive gameplay testing before
merging**, as a large amount of numbers have been picked arbitrarily in
an attempt to keep consistency with previous behavior (guns and
normal-sized items applying 1 drift force, which is equal to what
everything applied before this PR). Jetpacks and impacts may also
require adjustments as to not be frustrating to use.
Closes #85165
## Why It's Good For The Game
Zero-G refactor - currently our zero-g movement is rather ugly and can
be uncomfortable to work with. A piece of cable being able to accelerate
you the same as a duffelbag full of items when thrown makes no sense,
and so does instantly changing directions. Inertia-based version is
smoother and more intuitive. This also makes being thrown into space
more of a hazard (possibly opening the door for explosive
decompressions?)
Jetpack inertia and gun changes - this is mostly a consequence of
inertia-based movement. However, zero-g combat being preferred during
modes like warops was an issue due to it negatively affecting everyone
without jetpacks which are in limited supply onboard. This reverts the
mobility changes which severely impacted space exploration, while making
zero-g combat more dangerous and having it require more skill to be a
viable option.
## What's left
- [x] Refactor moth wings to use jetpack code
- [x] Refactor functional wings to use jetpack code
- [x] Locate and fix a recursion runtime that sometimes occurs upon
EnterTheJake 0cb765a5e0 Creates an EMP act for Jetpacks + minor buffs to sec modsuits (#84582)
## About The Pull Request
Jetpacks are now vulnerable to EMP, they get disabled for a few seconds
after getting hit by an EMP blast.
Sec modsuits now start with the jetpack module preinstalled instead of
the mirage module, and their starting powercell has been upgraded.
## Why It's Good For The Game
It's no secret that regular jetpacks and your run of the mill eva suit
see far more use than actual security issued equipment.
Having your best option available from the start of the shift is just
boring, and doesn't encourage the crew to even engage with Modsuits in
any way.
With this PR i'm introducing a weakness to jetties by having em turn of
for 4 seconds if you get hit by a pulse.
In exchange sec mods are now a bit more suited for their job, Mirage
module has been swapped with Jetpack module and they now spawn with a
better cell.
Stonetear 07ac92015c Fixes stowing suit storage jetpacks when retracting modsuit chestplates (#75844)
## About The Pull Request
This is a bizare bug I discovered while trying to develop another
feature, so let's just get into the reproduction steps:
- Wear a modsuit and extend it's parts
- Put a jetpack in the suit storage slot and turn it on. Currently, the
only jetpack that fits in the storage slot on TG is the captain's
jetpack.
- While the jetpack is activated, deactivate your modsuit using the UI,
which stows the jetpack into your storage module automatically.
- This fails to unregister some signal thing because it can't find the
user.
My fix *could* be shitcode, so any feedback would be appreciated.
Jetpack activation and deactivation signals now pass a user.
`/datum/component/jetpack/proc/activate(datum/source, mob/user)`
`/datum/component/jetpack/proc/deactivate(datum/source, mob/user)`
Some jetpack `pre_move_react` thing now has a check to see if it's
argument is null.
```
if(!trail)
	return FALSE
```
ShizCalev d927f28951 Makes update_icon_updates_onmob more robust (#75324)
Safeguards against #74965 happening in the future.
Noticed a bunch of these were using ITEM_SLOT_HANDS. This is incorrect,
as the element already automatically updates held items. grep'd it to
catch future instances.
Likewise, a number of objects weren't passing slot_flags to the element,
meaning it wasn't actually updating those things properly when they were
being worn. I've simplified this so now the element will automatically
update all slot_flags, and passing an additional slot to the element
when being added is only needed for additional slots that might need to
be updated. This also means if slot_flags change, the element will now
update correctly as well.
🆑 ShizCalev
code: The update_icon_updates_onmob element will now automatically
update all slots in an item's slot_flags var. This does fix multiple
things that weren't updating properly. Passing a slot to the element is
now only necessary if you want to add additional slots to be updated.
MrMelbert 329921639a Rewrites how action buttons icons are generated, makes them layer nicer. Allows observers to see a mob's action buttons. (#71339)
## About The Pull Request
- Rewrites how action button icons are generated.
- Prior, generated an action button icon was fairly simplistic and
didn't allow for many changes. Someone recently added the option for
overlays to be generated over action buttons, but the framework was very
weak.
- Now, action button icon generation is split across multiple procs,
like atom icon updates.
      - The background of action buttons are underlays
- The actual icon of the action button is the icon and icon state of the
action button movable
- The rim / border of the button is an overlay, layered overtop the
button.
- Allows observers to see what action buttons a mob has. They even
update in real time! And no, the observers cannot click on them.
## Why It's Good For The Game
- Runechat text of action buttons are no longer hidden behind the actual
icon. This was very ugly with cooldown actions, as the cooldown text was
hidden behind a lot of spell icons.
- Cuts down on a lot of icon duplication.
- Gives much finer control over action button icons
- Saves a bit of processing from generating full action button icons
when not necessary. Not implemented in many places, but is in some.
AnturK 4d6a8bc537 515 Compatibility (#71161)
Makes the code compatible with 515.1594+
Few simple changes and one very painful one.
Let's start with the easy:
* puts call behind `LIBCALL` define, so call_ext is properly used in 515
* Adds `NAMEOF_STATIC(_,X)` macro for nameof in static definitions since
src is now invalid there.
* Fixes tgui and devserver. From 515 onward the tmp3333{procid} cache
directory is not appened to base path in browser controls so we don't
check for it in base js and put the dev server dummy window file in
actual directory not the byond root.
* Renames the few things that had /final/ in typepath to ultimate since
final is a new keyword
And the very painful change:
`.proc/whatever` format is no longer valid, so we're replacing it with
new nameof() function. All this wrapped in three new macros.
`PROC_REF(X)`,`TYPE_PROC_REF(TYPE,X)`,`GLOBAL_PROC_REF(X)`. Global is
not actually necessary but if we get nameof that does not allow globals
it would be nice validation.
This is pretty unwieldy but there's no real alternative.
If you notice anything weird in the commits let me know because majority
was done with regex replace.
@tgstation/commit-access Since the .proc/stuff is pretty big change.
LemonInTheDark 7e9ff85f2a [NO GBP] Jetpack and spacedrift: Fixes and niceties (#66628)
* Jetpack and spacedrift: Fixes and niceties
Ok so when I ported spacemovement onto movement loop,
I neglected to port this behavior that existed to support jetpacks.
Basically, if something that lets you move while spacedrifing
completes a move while you're spacedrifting, the
drift should "disable" to let it complete, and then later restart.
I neglected to add support for that, so that's what this does.
There's some other stuff going on here, mostly things to let jetpacks
ignore some of drift's extra behavior, since when a jetpack is not on
stablized, we want both to coexist.
It's a bit of a mess, I'm sorry about that.
Oh and at temporal's suggestion I've moved the visual_delay set from
newtonian move to an istype on the drift component, that was a good
idea, thanks quiet
* Makes dropping a pull while drifting carry the momentum into the pulled thing\
* Adds some extra context to Process_Spacemove, fixes a bunch of stupid
space bugs
It used to be, if you called Process_Spacemove with a direction, it
assumed you were an "action", so a client or mob trying to move in a
direction.
Unfortuantely for it, I needed to be able to use direction to make mob
pull drifting work. So we now actually pass in a second variable
called continuous_move, which tracks if this Process_Spacemove is on
behalf of a continuous move or not
In addition to this, I've added logic to bumping "off" someone to
prevent backbumping if that makes sense, since the bump is in the form
of a newtonian move that's run before the thing that's bumping actually
moves, we need some way to exclude it from holding the other object in
place.
* Adds a jetpack component, uses it to unify all three versions of
jetpacking
I hate you fikou
There were three copies of the same behavior, which made it hard to fix
stuff. Let's just componentize it
* Fixes jetpacks stabalizing even without fuel
This is mildly hacky. The real fix is to do this with events, but I
really don't wanna bend my brain like that. This'll do
* Ensures turn_off always has a user)
* Shut pu
* Bulky drags no longer effect your movespeed in space, fixing a consistency issue between them and all other forms of drags
* Removes some redundant code, cleans up some messy stuff
* Removes redundant safety checking from jetpack code
* see above
This PR improves item action button updating code by introducing a proc to update all item's associated action buttons, which simplifies the process and reduces code duplication.
I also fixed a relevant bug where a PDA's action button icon did not properly update upon light toggle because it did not force the button update. Forcing the button update is needed in this case due to how light overlay operates, where the button icon state stays the same, so the code thought updating the action button icon was unnecessary.
Converts most spans into span procs. Mostly used regex for this and sorted out any compile time errors afterwards so there could be some bugs.
Was initially going to do defines, but ninja said to make it into a proc, and if there's any overhead, they can easily be changed to defines.
Makes it easier to control the formatting and prevents typos when creating spans as it'll runtime if you misspell instead of silently failing.
Reduces the code you need to write when writing spans, as you don't need to close the span as that's automatically handled by the proc.
(Note from Lemon: This should be converted to defines once we update the minimum version to 514. Didn't do it now because byond pain and such)
LemonInTheDark 27385e9d70 Converts the atmos senstive component over to connect_loc (#58266)
* Makes all uses of atmos_senstive pass in mapload as context
* Converts atmos senstive to connect_loc, does some general cleanup to the element, and makes it check the state of the tile the thing is on assuming creation didn't happen as a part of map loading
* Updates connect loc to match the new arg list
LemonInTheDark a924226b50 React optimization + event based processing for tanks, canisters and pipelines (#58418)
* Makes tanks only process when needed, rather then doing it constantly
* Makes portable atmos machines only process when needed, makes adding and removing atmos machinery cheaper, makes the tank processing logic actually work properly
* Makes pipelines only react() when their mix changes, fixes a ton of misuses of update_parents that were causing about 10ms of load for atmos just from reconcile_air()
* Adds in a new reaction framework alongside the old one for profiling related reasons
* whoops
* Cleanup, removes the react profiling code, I've chosen a direction to go here
* Cleans up some code, adds comments describing how to interact with portable atmos machines/tanks and their
mixes, adds a blurb to Atmospherics.md about the topic as a whole, leaves a line of bread for someone to follow
if I get hit by a bus in 2 days (Knock on wood)
* Removes priority from reactions, moves priority groups to the defines file
* whoops
* Converts air_contents to _air_contents, replaces all the out of file things that used it with return_air()
* Replaces the canister air contents uses, converts it back to air_contents, I decided I didn't like the _
* Fixes
Ghom b8425c003a Refactors how movetype flags are added and removed and the floating animation (#54963)
I wanted to refactor how movetype flags are added and removed into traits to prevent multiple sources of specific movement types from conflicting one other. I ended up also having to refactor the floating animation loop (the one that bobs up and down) code in the process.
Why It's Good For The Game
A way to avoid conflict from multiple sources of movement types.
This also stops melee attacks, jitteriness and update_transform() from temporarily disabling the floating movetype bitflag altogether until the next life tick.
Tested, but i'm pretty sure improvements could be made.
Changelog
fix: jitteriness, melee attack animations and resting/standing up should no longer momentarily remove the floating movement type.
allow_thrust is used as a check when the jetpack is toggled on to see if it should be allowed to turn on. This line needs to return the parent call instead of presuming it passes.
Jack Edge d93a0de984 Printed oxygen/plasma tanks no longer contain oxygen/plasma
🆑 coiax
fix: Printed oxygen or plasma tanks at the protolathe are now empty.
/🆑
The discrepency in behaviour was because the new /empty types were
using Initialize, which for some reason wasn't working.
However, when I ported the whole of /obj/item/tank into using
Initialize() it works fine, and all the empty tanks are empty
as intended, (and the ones that should have gas, do have gas).
