Wallem d20a1dac71 Adds a holiday-exclusive mail pool (#90437)
## About The Pull Request
Holidays with mail allowed are now able to have a pool of mail goodies
associated with them.

(If anyone has any ideas I missed please do tell me them. Ones I really
wanted to add are things for Ramadan and Hanukkah but I both don't know
enough about them and also don't know any traditional Islamic/Jewish
foods/trinkets we have in our codebase)
## Why It's Good For The Game
Adds more flavor to the game's various holidays.

Lucy 8c721d11f9 Small and tiny mobs no longer trigger the squeak component (#89100)
## About The Pull Request

This prevents mobs with `MOB_SIZE_SMALL` or `MOB_SIZE_TINY` from
triggering squeak sounds on crossed. Simple enough.

Also made the cooldown use the cooldown macros.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Small or tiny mobs are, well, tiny, and wouldn't really be able to
trigger the same kinda reaction.

Also sound spam is universally bad, and this gets rid of another method
of sound spam.

Ghom 778ed9f1ab The death or internal/external organ pathing (ft. fixed fox ears and recoloring bodypart overlays with dye sprays) (#87434)
## About The Pull Request
This PR kills the abstract internal and external typepaths for organs,
now replaced by an EXTERNAL_ORGAN flag to distinguish the two kinds.

This PR also fixes fox ears (from #87162, no tail is added) and
mushpeople's caps (they should be red, the screenshot is a tad
outdated).

And yes, you can now use a hair dye spray to recolor body parts like
most tails, podpeople hair, mushpeople caps and cat ears. The process
can be reversed by using the spray again.

## Why It's Good For The Game
Time-Green put some effort during the last few months to untie functions
and mechanics from external/internal organ pathing. Now, all that this
pathing is good for are a few typechecks, easily replaceable with
bitflags.

Also podpeople and mushpeople need a way to recolor their "hair". This
kind of applies to fish tails from the fish infusion, which colors can't
be selected right now. The rest is just there if you ever want to
recolor your lizard tail for some reason.

Proof of testing btw (screenshot taken before mushpeople cap fix, right
side has dyed body parts, moth can't be dyed, they're already fabolous):

MrMelbert c1ed62915b Adds UPSIDE_DOWN movetype for negative gravity / makes Atrocinator affected by less things (#79785)
## About The Pull Request

Fixes #79764

I was going to tackle this issue by slamming `TRAIT_NO_SLIP_ALL` on
Atrocinator users and calling it a day, but like, that didn't feel
proper.

So I thought hey, we could just give them the flying movetype, even
though they technically aren't flying it means they're unaffected by
things that flying would make you unaffected by.

Nope, this means the mob technically "negates gravity", so no falling
and no feetsteps.

Let's try floating - this give us feetsteps but no falling upwards.

So instead of going back to square one, with `TRAIT_NO_SLIP_ALL`, I
decided to go for the more complex route of just adding a movetype.

Hence, move type `UPSIDE_DOWN`. This covers situations where a mob would
be "floating" above the ground, but still walking. ...Negative gravity.

This means overall the Atrociator acts more as you'd expect - you don't
slip on ice, you don't trigger bear traps or mouse traps, you can walk
over railings, unaffected by conveyor belts, etc.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Makes the Atrocinator a lot more consistent with how you'd expect for it
to work.

Admittedly it is a bit niche use of movetypes, but it can possibly be
expanded to more things in the future, who knows? I applied it to mobs
on meat spikes (even though they don't move), just for proof of concept.

## Changelog

🆑 Melbert
fix: Atrocinating mobs will now behave more as you'd expect. Meaning
they don't slip on wet patches, can't trigger bear traps / landmines /

ground), glass tables
fix: Floating mobs won't squish stuff like roaches anymore

## About The Pull Request

Signals were initially only usable with component listeners, which while

This pr pulls the two apart. Partially because mso thinks we should, but
also because they really aren't directly linked anymore, and having them
in this midstate just confuses people.

Ghom 7bc5e03ae5 Late adjustments to my previous move_loop PR. [NO GBP] (#75778)
## About The Pull Request
Lemon guy was a bit too late in reviewing #75732 because it got already
merged by someone else, and I too hadn't managed to make some adjustment
to that PR in time.

This PR applies suggested changes, turns a simple proc into a macro, and
makes it so that also waddling, squeaky shoes and swivel chair sounds
don't running when moved by conveyor belt.

This doesn't stop squeaking from happening when other
conveyor-belt-moved objects or mobs cross its tile. That'd be hacky and
I'm not here to fight sfx-spamming machines.

## Why It's Good For The Game
These are changes that should have been included in #75732 but couldn't.

Jacquerel 38bd952b19 Pet Command Component + Regal Rats can order their subjects around (#71590)
## About The Pull Request

Another atomisation of #71421 but I had a fun idea while I was testing
it.

This adds a component based on the existing system for giving
instructions to tamed carp or dogs, but hopefully more modular.
It also gives it to the rat minions of a regal rat.
The basic function allows the mob to listen and react to spoken
commands, which passes things to its AI blackboard. Additionally if you
alt-click a commandable mob it will show a radial menu which both allows
you to select a command, and also contains tooltips explaining what they
do and what audible words trigger it.

<details>
  <summary>Video</summary>

https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/7483112/204308693-0eccebec-75c9-411c-81c5-5aa0d682d1a5.mp4

</details>

Now if you riot some rats, you can alt click on them individually to
give them specific orders (more useful for other creatures than rats),
or you can speak out loud to command your legion.
Rats aren't very smart so you can't give them many instructions, but
this is expandable for other creatures.

Additional change: Mice don't squeak if stepped on by other mice because
this made an absolutely unholy noise and I am not sure there's a way to
get non-dense mobs to spread out.

## Why It's Good For The Game

Allows for giving more mobs the ability to be tamed and instructable by
their owner, without copy/pasting code which lives inside a specific
mob.
Yelling at your rats to give them commands is funny. It also adds the
possibility of telling your rats to stop biting someone if they have
agreed to your demands, allowing for more courtly roleplay.
When Regal Rat is converted to a basic mob its AI can also give other
AIs instructions by yelling at them which I think is a good feature.

## Changelog

add: The followers of Regal Rats will now respond to simple
instructions, if given by their rightful lord. Except frogs. They're too
busy licking themselves and watching the colours.

Mothblocks fa7688d043 Save 0.6-0.7s of init time by splitting registering lists of signals into its own proc, and optimizing QDELETED (#71056)
- Makes QDELETED use isnull(x) instead of !x, giving about 0.2 to 0.25s
of speed.
- Make disposal constructs only update icon state rather than go through
expensive overlay code. Unfortunately did not have much effect, but is
something they should've been doing nonetheless.
- Makes RegisterSignal only take signals directly as opposed to
allocating a fresh list of signals. Very few consumers actually used
this and it costs about 0.4s. Also I think this is just a bad API anyway
and that separate procs are important

`\bRegisterSignal\((.*)list\(` replaced with `RegisterSignals($1list(`

AnturK 4d6a8bc537 515 Compatibility (#71161)
Makes the code compatible with 515.1594+

Few simple changes and one very painful one.
Let's start with the easy:
* puts call behind `LIBCALL` define, so call_ext is properly used in 515
* Adds `NAMEOF_STATIC(_,X)` macro for nameof in static definitions since
src is now invalid there.
* Fixes tgui and devserver. From 515 onward the tmp3333{procid} cache
directory is not appened to base path in browser controls so we don't
check for it in base js and put the dev server dummy window file in
actual directory not the byond root.
* Renames the few things that had /final/ in typepath to ultimate since
final is a new keyword

And the very painful change:
`.proc/whatever` format is no longer valid, so we're replacing it with
new nameof() function. All this wrapped in three new macros.
`PROC_REF(X)`,`TYPE_PROC_REF(TYPE,X)`,`GLOBAL_PROC_REF(X)`. Global is
not actually necessary but if we get nameof that does not allow globals
it would be nice validation.
This is pretty unwieldy but there's no real alternative.
If you notice anything weird in the commits let me know because majority
was done with regex replace.

@tgstation/commit-access Since the .proc/stuff is pretty big change.

Watermelon914 ffe2750744 Refactors connect_loc_behalf into a component (#60678)
See title. Also refactors caltrops into a component because they use connect_loc_behalf which requires them to hold the state.

This also fixes COMPONENT_DUPE_SELECTIVE from just outright not working.

connect_loc_behalf doesn't make sense as an element because it tries to hold states. There is also no way to maintain current behaviour and not have the states that it needs.
Due to the fact that it tries to hold states, it means the code itself is a lot more buggy because it's a lot harder to successfully manage these states without runtimes or bugs.

On metastation, there is only 2519 connect_loc_behalf components at roundstart. MrStonedOne has told me that datums take up this much space:
image

If we do the (oversimplified) math, there are only ever 5 variables that'll likely be changed on most connect_loc_behalf components at runtime:
connections,
tracked,
signal_atom,
parent,
signal_procs

This means that on metastation at roundstart, we take up this amount: (24 + 16 * 5) * 2519 = 261.97600 kilobytes
This is not really significant and the benefits of moving this to a component greatly outweighs the memory cost.

(Basically the memory cost is outweighed by the maint cost of tracking down issues with the thing. It's too buggy to be viable longterm basically)

* Converts all uses of connect_loc over to the new patterns

* Adds some comments, actually makes turfs persist signals

* There's no need to detach connect loc anymore, since all it does is unregister signals. Unregisters a signal from formorly decal'd turfs, and makes the changeturf signal persistance stuff actually work

Rohesie e03cd1aada Refactors move procs to support multitle objects (#59658)
Enter(), Entered(), Exit() and Exited() all passed the old loc forward, but everything except a single a case cared about the direction of the movement more than about the specific source.
Since moving multi-tile objects will have multiple sources of movement but a single direction, this change makes it easier to track their movement.

Cleaned up a lot of code around and made proc inputs compatible.

I'll add opacity support for multi-tile objects in a different PR after this is merged, as this has grown large enough and I don't want to compromise the reviewability.

Tested this locally and as expected it didn't impair movement nor produced any runtimes.

coiax 89eea73703 Rework job food/alchohol benefits into livers (#55721)
By moving the "special behaviour" of something like security officers
eating donuts, or engineers losing radiation by drinking Screwdrivers,
into traits on the liver, this makes the "origin" of that behaviour more
clearly defined, rather than something that's attached to the mind of
the person. (For example, now if a wizard mindswaps into a Security
Officer, they too can now digest donuts good.)

Having this behaviour be partially visible to the more medically
inclined members of the station (like doctors, and the chaplain for
"entrails reading mystic" themes), means that a dismembered liver tells
a story to those who know how to read it.

Some jobs have more "benefits" than others, for example the only thing
that the liver of a Quartermaster gives them is a sense of inadequacy
when consuming royal carpet.

Clowns having livers that honk make them easier to identify, and plays
into the retconned "bike horns are clown livers lore"? Also, why not cut
out a clown's liver then honk them with it? You monster.

Qustinnus 74755a5a3a Audio falloff re-work, and increased audio range. (#54362)
imo; the ss13 audio-scape is quite barren, you can only hear most things if you can see them, which in my opinion doesn't make much sense. This changes that so you can hear further away, but falloff is much higher, so in reality you will only hear things relatively quietly when they're out of sight.

This PR increases the hearing distance of most sound by 9, excluding sounds such as antag items that are meant to be used stealthily

This PR also replaces Byond's inbuilt falloff system with something I made, (And thanks to potato for helping me throw together a formula for it). This fall-off system makes sound fall off more naturally, with sounds being full volume within a certain range, and then softly falling off until they are completely quiet. This makes for a smoother transition between "This sound is full volume" and "I dont hear this sound".

Jared-Fogle 45c14f6330 Adds SIGNAL_HANDLER and SIGNAL_HANDLER_DOES_SLEEP to prevent signal callbacks from blocking (#52761)
Adds SIGNAL_HANDLER, a macro that sets SHOULD_NOT_SLEEP(TRUE). This should ideally be required on all new signal callbacks.

Adds BLOCKING_SIGNAL_HANDLER, a macro that does nothing except symbolize "this is an older signal that didn't necessitate a code rewrite". It should not be allowed for new work.

This comes from discussion around #52735, which yields by calling input, and (though it sets the return type beforehand) will not properly return the flag to prevent attack from slapping.

To fix 60% of the yielding cases, WrapAdminProcCall no longer waits for another admin's proc call to finish. I'm not an admin, so I don't know how many behinds this has saved, but if this is problematic for admins I can just make it so that it lets you do it anyway. I'm not sure what the point of this babysitting was anyway.

Requested by @optimumtact.

admin: Calling a proc while another admin is calling one will no longer wait for the first to finish. You will simply just have to call it again.

Rob Bailey 2029163d33 playsound vary boolean define conversion (#46254)
About The Pull Request

Converts every single usage of playsound's vary parameter to use the boolean define instead of 1 or 0. I'm tired of people copypasting the incorrect usage.
Also changes a couple of places where a list was picked from instead of using get_sfx internal calls

This was done via regex:
(playsound\(.+,.+,.+, ?)1( ?\)| ?,.+\)) to match 1
(playsound\(.+,.+,.+, ?)0( ?\)| ?,.+\)) to match 0
full sed commands:
/(playsound\(.+,.+,.+, ?)1( ?\)| ?,.+\))/\1TRUE\2/ 1 to TRUE
/(playsound\(.+,.+,.+, ?)0( ?\)| ?,.+\))/\1FALSE\2/ 0 to FALSE

I'm not very good with regex and these could probably be optimized, but they worked.

fix: Added a cooldown for datum outputs
/cl

also added an arg called do_owner in playsound that lets the owner of a datum output be different from the atom that plays it, chiefly used for component/squeak so that you can apply the component directly to any single atom without having to fuck with said atom's datum_outputs list so that it can properly play the sound, since the datum output is already stored within the datum component itself.

also send_info now returns true or false based on whether it's cooling down or not, i dont like this and i initially just had a var for whether it's cooling down or not but raz said it saves a var so i guess whatever ill just have it like that

Militaires cecf676684 [Ready] Outputs datum (#41535)
Idea and instructions by @Razharas, many thanks.

This PR only implements the framework required to catalog as well as play the sounds. Their to_chat text, and icons (if any) are not included, are to be pushed in a separate PR.

This PR does not remove the old playsound_local system, it is kept for the sake of not necessitating a direct changeover of every single playsound in the code, which will surely cause a lot of merge conflicts. It does however, replace bike horns' and toy nukes' means of playback to this datum, purely as proof of concept.

Playsound_local may remain in the code to support playback of admin-uploaded sounds that do not have an inherent datum. Playsound will likely be renamed to something else in the next PR to reflect its new, more universal function. We will see.

New process for adding sounds:

    Create a new datum/outputs subtype.
If you wish, write down some supporting text; this gives further meaning to the sound.
Add multiple sounds to the sounds list, and weight them as you wish. (New)
Add a sound icon if you wish, it defaults to a generic sound circle anyways though.
playsound(/datum/outputs/new_subtype, receiver), and it will deliver, icon, sound, and text to the receiver.

Maintaining implication is that from now on playsound should only be processing datum/outputs

This pr intends to gut to_chats that are added alongside playsounds in the code.
This pr eliminates the need to initialize sounds in a list so that you can weight them or have the game play them randomly from the list.

Sound Rings
Currently, only mobs with the audiolocation var may view them. Sound icons have an alpha that depends on the volume of the sound, louder sounds create a more opaque image

Sound rings are completely modular and may be changed to any image.

In addition to renaming playsound to reflect its new function. I intend to give blind people sound icons at the cost of their small view, but that is for another PR.
