spawns have a high overhead.
I only went for easy targets, almost every spawn could be removed with a few subsystems in place to handle delays or cooldowns

Zooming is now a /gun level ability, enable-able at gun creation via a "zoomable" var, Zooming can be properly enabled externally by calling the build_zooming() proc on any gun.
