a2465428bd TG: -Fixed up a bunch more PDA sprites. Added a few more.
-Added a medical belt and a flash to the CMO's locker. CMOs don't have to be
completely defenceless if they want to use their hypo for medicine

e5250972a9 TG: Readded detective work, with much bugfixing and optimizations.
Any PDA that can access the Security Records can, via the forensic scanner
function (that was already there) store data on what was scanned, the same way
that the Detective's scanner can.
Scanning a PDA with said stored data in the Detective's computer-o-doom will
transfer the data from the PDA to the computer's database.
Made some area names improper as needed (Only ones where it makes sense to be
improper.)

36effbacc2 TG: There's a metric assload of stuff here, mostly in preparation to my massive
traitor expansion, so I'll try to be brief:

- I added in the foundations for traitor factions. See factions.dm for all the
different faction datums. They don't do anything yet.

- I completely ported mob/var/mutations from a bitfield to a generic list.
Mutation enumerated-identifiers are added into this list. For instance, TK = 1,
COLD_RESISTANCE = 2, XRAY = 3, etc... The purpose of this was because bitwise
operations could not actually be used after a certain size (because BYOND is
stuck in the 16bit era).

- I've added in completely-functional nano-augmentations. Check under
implantnanoaug.dm for a list of implants and implaners. As mentioned previously,
they are completely functional but may be slightly OP. Among these nanoaugs are
Super Strength, Psionic Radar, Electric Hands, Energy Blade/Sword Synthesizer,
Rebreather, Dermal Armor, Combat Reflexes, and Regenerative Nanorobots. I won't
go into detail as to what they do, but hopefully they should be self-
explanitory. If not, check out their descriptions in the file previously
mentioned.

- Added in a future traitor item, the Mind Batterer. Along with it a new .ogg
file.

- New telecomms bus mainframe sprite, thanks to WJohnston.

- New holdable shield, sprites courtesy of Muncher (i had to mangle the side
sprites because of a technical little issue. I'll change it back to the original
soon). It can be retracted and expanded. Probably only going to be given to
traitors.

- A couple of minor bugfixes here and there, along with some code tidying.

Hope this isn't too large a commit. I intended it to be MUCH larger, but I've
decided to split up my Traitor Factions expansion into smaller commits.

beb63529f9 Made some better text procs for when a gender is ambiguous. Added a proc that will return the proper form of reference to the mob it is called on (mob.get_visible_gender()) which returns a list with the proper forms of reference in it. (In the form of a hashtable.) Also added the proc "get_gender_form("form")" Where it takes the given form and returns the proper one. E.g. on a non disguised man, it will take "it" and return "him". 2012-05-31 17:53:23 -07:00

chemist and CMO PDAs
-Making Heads slightly more headlier. Head offices given more desk space and
given spare PDA carts for their department. PDA Carts are also removed from
equipment lockers.

a7dd312b3e TG: - Removed support for the ONBACK and ONBELT flags.
- Replaced them with a whole range of inventory slot flags. These now govern
whether an item can or can't be placed in a certain inventory slot. See setup.dm
for information on the flags. These flags only affect humans tho, as humans are
the only beings with an inventory to talk of.
- Standardized some gun code and some other pieces of code as I came accross
them. I hate indented variable definitions!

This commit should not bring any change whatsoever to the game from a player's
perspective.

6e289dabfc TG: Sanitized a large number of input()s.
- Hopefully this will cut down on the server spamming/crashing escapades
happening on other servers. (This wont stop that from happening, this just makes
it less severe)
- Some of the sanitizes were probably unnecessary, but better safe then sorry.

Added MAX_NAME_LEN constant which is initialized to 26.
- Please use MAX_NAME_LEN instead of typing in 26 when cutting inputs short.
26's are annoying when they have to be changed and you have to hunt through over
a hundred files and tens of thousands of lines of code to find them all.

Moved uplink_kits.dm to code/game/objects/storage

- The stuff inside uplinks.dm could really be chopped up and split into separate
dm files but this will do for now.

When you create code that asks the user for an input consider whether or not it
gets shown to the user through html or the like.

If it does please sanatize() or strip_html() it. Also use copytext() to cutoff
spam by using MAX_NAME_LEN and MAX_MESSAGE_LEN as the cutoff var.

7894a7e0ef TG: - PDA messaging reworked a bit. If you receive a message with your PDA somewhere
on your person (so not in a backpack), the message will be displayed to you in
the text box along with the name and rank of the sender. A reply button will be
next to this to make replying easier. The PDA beep will still appear and the PDA
must not be in silent mode for this to work.

7be4fd6755 TG: -Added sprites for fat hulks and fat lizardmen. Have fun with that, weirdos.
-New carrot in-tray sprites.
-Added define for bottle of adminordrazine and supporting code for injecting
adminordrazine into plants. Basically for debugging, so I don't have to spend 10
minutes injecting plants with mutagen each time.
-Raised the passive species-mutation chance slightly. For real this time.
-Added sprites for red and yellow floorbots into aibots.dmi.
-New PDAs for the botanists and librarian. Sprites for cartridges for both too.
(There's some work into a botany cartridge but it's commented out for now)

f7e4ab6975 TG: Adds randomlly spawning rooms to the mining asteroid that contain various
goodies.  (Among them are a modified traitor beacon, a cloaking device and a
closet full of resources so you can go build your own honk.)
These rooms will spawn at least out of range of space and the explored pathways,
so at the very least some mining is required to even detect them with mesons.
Adds a borg upgrade system. Right now, it just contians a borg reset module that
allows the borg to choose their module again.  Adds some support code to borgs
to suppot flashproofing and renaming.
Adds a few various admin commands like a quick-list of objects (which is
hardcoded) and a command to break the local air group.

Removes poo. XSI and co. weren't very fond of it, and the last thing I would do
is make them uncomfortable and challenge their leadership by keeping poo in.

An experimental lagfix, which removes a couple THOUSAND unnecessary machines
from the machine processing list. Please report any unresponsive machinery (as
result of this commit) as HIGH PRIORITY issues. I'm not quite sure how much lag
this will kill, but I'm confident that it will be at least slightly noticeable.

More work on step_triggers. The escape shuttle should no longer blast things
forever and give them infinite momentum.

35388d501d TG: Updates handheld-flashes so that they cannot break on their first use. Their
chance of breaking is directly proportional to their frequency of use (ranges
from 0% to 5%, used to be a blanket 2%). Their capacitor recharges one charge
every 60 seconds. Once their 6 charges are used up, they temporarily stop
working whilst their capacitor recharges. This should mean that flashes will
last a long time with light use (defence/rev), but not for spamming
(shitcurity).
Can now job-ban people from entire departments through the jobban panel.
Can now job-ban people even if they log out.
Job-ban panel now informs you why people were banned from each job.
Runtime fixes for some old jobban code that was preventing the above stuff.
Committing some fixes Nodrak pointed out.
Credits go to Nodrak for a lot of this.

d5d4e8b506 TG: Fixes for detective work. Should fix some of the massive lag, probably caused
by all those list()s that were being made for every atom.  And this is why I
should not code at 2AM.  (A UI overhaul-ish thing will come soon for the
detective computer.)

bae7ec23d9 TG: - Desk lamps are now just fancy flashlights. Which means you can pick them up.
They have w_class set to 4 and don't have the onbelt flag, meaning you can't put
them in any container and you can't put them in a pocket. Click on them to pick
them up, use the toggle-light verb to turn them on or off. They are no longer
affected by light switches (desk lights generally aren't anyway)
- Updated lamp type path on both uterus and 2.0.8
